Finally a home where the kitchen, living room, and dining room are NOT in one giant room. That is what I like. That way someone can watch TV or read while others talk, or play cards, or eat without disturbing each other.
My husband likes to watch football and I like to cook and listen to music. We had an open concept house when we first got married. We then moved and now have a traditional colonial and I love the separation of rooms.
I totally agree as I dislike the full open concept room that so common. This layout is perfect with separation and all the windows for a spacious feel. The vaulted paneled ceiling in the dining area is a BEAUTIFUL feature!
@@Bobrogers99I would do the same thing plus maybe remove the windows on either side of it. I live in a very cold area in the winter so a lot of the windows I would not add and I would also add an attached double car garage. But honestly this one is a keeper
@@teresayates8274 I'm a generation older than you, and I have TVs in the same places. The one in the kitchen is mostly for the news when I'm making meals, and there are days in winter when I don't bother to get dressed and watch from bed.
What an incredibly efficient use of space! Of course there are details that I would tweak, but nothing major at all. This would be a lovely design to retire in.
I like the cupboards and drawers in the bathrooms, so many of these house plans don't have that. It's nice to have places to put towels, extra toilet paper and other necessary items.
LOVE IT, LOVE IT....I AGREE WITH PERSON WHO SAID, "NO TV IN BEDROOM." ASK ANY CHIROPRACTOR ABOUT BEDROOM TV..VERY BAD FOR NECK AND BACK WATCHING TV FROM BED.......WHY DON'T THEY SAY THE COST OF THESE SMALL HOMES.....
Absolutely love this design layout for a small house. I would extend the wall a bit by front door just to give some division from the front door. If this could be a 2 story design I would be set!😊
Love this house, so cozy. Love the arched openings into the kitchen and hallway and all the countertop space in the kitchen. It is beautiful house and layout.
I love seeing all the cute small homes. They're all so charming but never seem to have much in the way of storage options. No bookcases either. In this one there wasn't even a dresser or chest of drawers in the main bedroom. Also, in the kitchen the refrigerator and the stove really need to swap places.
Great layout. However, I'd take out the master bath and dividing wall and make that a reading or office nook, plus put in a door directly to the back porch. I would definitely consider this plan for a home.
@@lynnharrell9598 Ah, but one from the master bedroom is just bonus and a great way to get out on the porch without having to walk all the way through the house.
I like the floor plan. Living room take out the 2 windows that’s next to the fireplace. Replace the fireplace with a big tv screen. Washer and dryer side by side. Master bathroom replace tub with walk in shower.
Beautiful! I love the size and layout, the front and back porches, and the fact that there's separation btwn the kitchen/DR and LR (I'm not a fan of wide open floor plans). I'd make a few minor changes: add a medium height bookcase on each side of the fireplace (Craftsman style); make the kitchen island about 12-18" wider (it seems a tad undersized), and I'd switch the location of the fridge and range. But those are minor changes to this very nice floor plan and size.
I love the kitchen…I love that it is separated from the front room. The island and separate dining table…gas stove. Was that a pantry I saw hiding behind the door in kitchen? Storage in bathroom 😆 and my favorite sink. The only aspect of this house I’m not crazy about is the lack of a true laundry room. I need a laundry sink, rods for drying my shirts and storage. Otherwise, this is a nice layout and doesn’t feel stifling.
It is a small house, but it manages to contain the basics. The kitchen could use more counter space, and though there's a pantry closet the house in general hasn't a lot of storage. This would work fine for a couple, leaving the second bedroom as an office and storage place.
I like it, but prefer just a shower in the master bath, and the tub/shower combo in the regular bath. And, put a pantry where the refrig is and put the refrig where the pantry is so there can be a larger frige. An entire neighborhood of cute houses like this would be great. Not really a tiny home but a livable home.
Very nicely laid out. I never did like the "open concept" that became so popular over the past years. I don't want my living room to see into the kitchen and also to have all the cooking odors spread far and wide. I get that helicopter parents wanted open concept so they could see the kids easily, but at what cost? Sometimes I feel like cleaning up after meals a bit later and I don't want to see the waiting dishes etc from my living space. This home is perfect for retirees and singles, if you have kids a large play room could easily be added for them.
Very nice, I would place the couch in the living room facing the fireplace so the big wall was available to place like My TV over against it and maybe the book case I have. MY piano in this layout and size has no place so that would need to be addressed. The kitchen I would rotate the kitchen island so I could add another set of lower cabinets with countertop and upper cabinets on the small blank wall giving me much needed storage, the dining area is beautiful. The master bathroom I would delete the tub combo and go with exactly the same type of shower in the secondary bathroom and in both bathrooms I would delete the Three drawers in the cabinet above the countertop and just make that a linen cabinet from the counter up and drawers below. Not bad though for a small home. I'm of the same ilke that I don't like TV's in the bedroom. The master bedroom does need a bit more space at end of the bed to accommodate a dresser.
Love this! Very nice curb appeal, fireplace, nice kitchen/dining. The only thing I would change is to replace the windows flanking that fireplace with bookshelves.
What a darling little house,I would make a few little changes for myself but that's to be expected. Well designed. One of my favorites actually. Enjoyed this one
I use to agree that TV does not belong in the bedroom. Remember that lots of elderly spend much time in bed and enjoy a TV. We no longer have the energy to play like we used to. Bedrooms function differently as we age, from sexy marriages to one spouse gone, to just wanting to rest and enjoy what we can. We don’t all live the same way throughout our life span. It’s a matter of choice. This house is beautiful and very functional. I’d love it!
Now that is almost perfect. The only change I would make is to widen the opening for the refrigerator, making the cabinet next to the stove narrow, just for cookie sheets. I would prefer a larger refrigerator. Otherwise, perfect!
This is a sweet little house, beautifully done. However, I would change the glass panels on the bathtubs. I’ve stayed in several Air BnBs designed with the half wall and there is always a mess of water outside the tub or shower that must be mopped up. Of course a mop was never provided.
Sooo…1,159 sq ft. Looks lovely and liveable. I’d have to get rid of A LOT of stuff but like the idea of living in this house. Would need a dresser or something like it in the bedroom, though, and would make a few changes here and there.
We've decided on 33 by 37 actually for bigger closets. And we don't need a huge island and an eating area. We also need a bigger master bath. The other suggestions are useful too. Maybe this is a second home?
I would have to have a basement. The bathroom in the hallway is nicer than the master bathroom. Bigger master closet would be nice. How about showing the food pantry in any of these house tours? Just would like to see the lay out of shelves or room.
Everyone should be able to afford this home, as a starter or permanent. I don't see why this isn't possible. Our rentier economy just won't allow it. They want us to rent everything, even appliances.
What a pretty little house I would be willing to bet, however, that the price tag is over $300,000. Also, did I miss it? I see no HVAC and water heater!
Tv should be in the living room not bedroom. Rather have the walk-in shower in the master bath. Living in the north an attached garage and a basement are essential. Prefer non stacking washer and dryer. Other than that, very attractive, snug little home.
Now that I’m retired, this is all I need. Just a lovely little home.
Finally a home where the kitchen, living room, and dining room are NOT in one giant room. That is what I like. That way someone can watch TV or read while others talk, or play cards, or eat without disturbing each other.
Agreed 👍🏼
I to hate open concept kitchens. They are slowly fading out. More people want a separate kitchen. Who wants people seeing your sink? Jeez.
My husband likes to watch football and I like to cook and listen to music. We had an open concept house when we first got married. We then moved and now have a traditional colonial and I love the separation of rooms.

It's beautiful!! The only thing I would do is screen in the back porch ❤❤❤
I was thinking the same thing. Probably don't need the fireplace either.
I'd also like to make the porch a little larger so it can act as a second living area.
This one has my name written on it. I love every inch of it. Thank you.😊
Thank you!! 😊
My first home was only 962 square feet, 2 bedroom, 2 full baths. I loved it, low maintenance.
OMG! My perfect home!!!! I wish I could afford one!!!
Oh my, this is perfect. My absolutely favorite so far
What a lovely home. Like having your own little piece of heaven.
❤❤❤
It’s a very lovely home. Where do you put your non-hanging clothes, as there doesn’t appear to be much room for bedroom furniture?
Finally a small home that has practical nice looking furniture. I would never put a TV in my bedroom. bedrooms are for sleeping.
Haven't had TV for several years. Don't miss it at all!
I'd eliminate the fireplace, which is primarily decorative, and place my TV there. I still watch TV and can stream movies on it.
@@Bobrogers99I would do the same thing plus maybe remove the windows on either side of it. I live in a very cold area in the winter so a lot of the windows I would not add and I would also add an attached double car garage. But honestly this one is a keeper
I have a TV in my living room bedroom and kitchen, I don't know anyone who doesn't. I grew up that way, and I was born in the 60s.
@@teresayates8274 I'm a generation older than you, and I have TVs in the same places. The one in the kitchen is mostly for the news when I'm making meals, and there are days in winter when I don't bother to get dressed and watch from bed.

I really liked this house. Need to find out prices.

Absolutely love the color scheme and decor inside and out. Of coarse we all would have modified changes, but beautiful home. Love the kitchen!
This may be my favorite.
Such a cute house! I love it! The ceilings add such a beautiful touch!
Very nice, as always. Kudos to your architects and design team! Great wood, arches, design touches everywhere. I would live there in a heartbeat ❤
Thank you!! 😊
Great layout. However, I'd take out the master bath and dividing wall and make that a reading or office nook, plus put in a door directly to the back porch. I would definitely consider this plan for a home.
There is a door directly to the back porch. Past the laundry room.

Glass French doors with a separate deck. A coffee station. Yeah. Private.
A well laid out home. It feels very comfy.

Beautiful home in every way. I'll look it for it in "my next life". 😀 Seriously, magnificient!
A beautiful home, the home of my dreams.
Love, love, love this!

Great floor plan. perfect. I would like a bigger space for larger refrigerator, freezer. Front porch great for setting.
Nice basic ideas. Would tweek for personal senior user friendly amenities. TY ☺️

Wonderful and gorgeous! Would love to know the square footage.
Perfection 🥰
Adorable
Where is the HVAC, hot water tank, furnace?
It’s perfect
Lovely! It’s huge compared to my place😊
Would this be a $300,000.00 / approx 1100 sq.foot house? It’s beautiful, the cost is what I find staggering.
This is perfect! My favorite
Really nice one!
Nice house. Wish I could afford it.
This looks so AI 😮 everything looks too perfect 😁

How much?
I’d put in an oversized garage for storage, freezer etc.
A lovely little home. But what would it cost to build? Obviously that depends on where you live, but using the national average, what is the cost?
I love this just need a basement for the hubs to get away from my mouth!😅

This is a big house. Some people don't realize that this is the norm in many communities.

Being all on one level, we would call this a bungalow rather than a house, and by UK standards it's pretty generously sized.

i do for one of several charitable programs im launching soon as i find locations for them

I like it a lot but would find a way to squeeze a half bath into the laundry room. A single bath is a non starter today even for just 2 people.
What is the price of this house?
Why was there in room measurement. That aside loved the design.
