When welding a pipe should you have or is it need to have the “trial” on in the inside?
As I’ve seen some get grinded down.
And some haven’t penetrated as well but there still is a almost flush weld in between the materials.
Having a "trial" or a weld reinforcement on the inside of a pipe joint is not always necessary, but it can provide additional strength and support, especially in high-pressure or critical applications. However, it's essential to ensure proper penetration and fusion on both sides of the joint. Grinding down the reinforcement on the inside may be done for aesthetic reasons or to ensure a smoother flow inside the pipe, but it should not compromise the integrity of the weld. If there are concerns about penetration, it's crucial to adjust welding parameters or techniques to achieve proper fusion throughout the joint while maintaining the desired appearance.
