      1. How did the police officer knew her age ?(anyway it's nearly correct)
      2. His laugh was vengeful.
      3. She was a Master student, how did the officer knew her college fees which was £11,000?
      4. Does he know her before or the government is just going to move this case as just a racist case?

Look how long it took Emmett Till Anti lynching act to pass.
It's 2023 and he was killed decades ago.
Republicans like Tim Scott didn't want it to pass Till or Floyd bill.
The Floyd bill passed the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives on a mostly party-line vote of 220-212, but not the evenly divided but Democratic controlled Senate amid opposition from Republicans. Negotiations between Republican and Democratic senators on a reform bill collapsed in September 2021.

Agree in principle, in practice the criminally negligent officer committed involuntary manslaughter, he should see prison time (75 in a 25 into a pedestrian at a lighted crosswalk is absurdly negligent) but not life.
The officer who mocked her death should have seen time for some of his previous crimes (he has a long record of use of force complaints which SHOULD have ended in conviction) but should only be fired for his disgusting speech. 1A does not allow incarceration for mocking people unjustly slain, but it absolutely is unacceptable from a public servant.

The cop who was joking and laughing is the leader of the police union.

The cop who killed her, they are trying to justify what he did.
A lot of people have been hurt, hit or killed by cops because of high speed chase.

Police are expected to go fast when there is an emergency call. Ambulances too. If Seattle wants to prohibit that, you go ahead and pass that law and they rest of us will just laugh when you can't get the police to show up to a robbery in less than an hour. As for what the officer said, even without the missing context, hurting someone's feelings is not a crime.

@@brucejohnson1264 pls do not defend police if you don't have ANY of the facts of the situation. Of course cops are expected to speed to a location, but there are rules they must follow. They must travel at a reasonable speed, if it's medical, they are not essential personnel. And lights and sirens must be active.
This Cop did not full fill any of those requirements.
He was going 78 in a 25 zone, running a red light. The girl he killed was in the cross walk and had the walk signal. It was night and his lights and sirens were NOT on. It's criminal negligence of the highest degree.
He should not get life, but he needs to go away for unintentional homicide. There was no reason to drive that fast without sirens.

After cops choked Elijah McClain to death, they took a selfie of themselves in a choke-hold to mock his death. When cops assaulted and dislocated Karen Garner's shoulder / elbow, they laughed when they watched their bodycam video and heard the "pop" of the dislocation. Those cops also claimed their laughing and mocking were "out-of-context".

They were not out of context. We need policing. These bad ones make the devoted officers look bad. Too many, with the wrong personalities are drawn to police work. There needs to be better screening. In healthcare, even your basic classes are hard enough to screen a lot of people out. That continues on to professional school or graduate school. It is not perfect, but it is effective overall.

What happened is very tragic, and what was said and done is beyond comprehension. Did not expect this in US and Definitely not from Uniformed Police officers, who have to set Higher standards and live as an example, there could be one bad apple but others too ?
What is the view of other Officers? and their Union ?

I lived near Seattle for almost two years. I'm so horrified and heartbroken about this absolute inhumane catastrophe.
Here's the deal, from my perspective: LAW ENFORCEMENT IS NOT USEFUL IN ITS CURRENT FORM.
INDIVIDUAL COMMUNITIES MUST COME TOGETHER TO TALK ABOUT CITIZENS BEING TREATED LIKE ONLINE GAMING TARGETS!!!
This is not the first egregious elimination of a whole human being, nor will it be the last!!!
Take action for ALL OF THE COMMUNITY or your outrage will be absorbed and muted.
    SO SO SORRY!!!

We are all human beings, and unfortunate accidents happen, had there been remorse and empathy from these officers, this could have quickly been healed and moved on, but theseb individuals are lowly human beings. Just so we know don't generalize the police force. It was an officer that found the footage during a review and chose to escalate it. It was then the police force released it to the public in the interest of transparency

We East Asians have been shot, stabbed, killed, discriminated against in this country for the past 100 years. BUT NOBODY IN THE EAST ASIAN COMMUNITY EVER COMES TO GATHER AND DEMONSTRATE/PROTEST . Voice their opinion against any unjust killings in our community. Everything just gets swept under the rugged and not talk about it. Seeing something like this inspires me, GOOD JOB INDIANS.
