would love the Habs to draft him... great bloodlines with lots of potential to develop into a quality player.

Tell me what your father does for a living, or did, and tell me what you do, or did .. then i might give some weight to your words

@@anthonytiramani-ct3tt not the same when you are comparing athletes with sons or daughters. They will learn from a pro. Look at the tkchuck sons. They will have a leg up because they will know what it takes. Then it’s up to work ethic and if they can have good height , weight , etc.

Possible. I think Eller better hands but Koivu better shot. But i like the way you are thinking about Koivu.

Why? Just curious. If is the case should be the same for former NHL players too. Skip Iginla?

@@HockeyNationLiveShow it is a lot of pressure for someone to surpass a legend .let alone a legend of the habs .
are you asking if the flames should pass on iginla? i believe they will if hes there .should they? same answer as i had with koivu.
hughes didnt draft his son did he?
its something that imo just wont happen.
in habsland every player is a henri richard .
in my opinion we can cheer him from afar alot better .

@habinations No one is saying his kid will be better. Koivu was a huge part of my childhood with the habs. He was absolutely amazing.
Your take means many top players in the game shouldn't have been drafted because of bloodlines. Tkachuk's being a good example. Though they were highly touted prospects.
Hughes drafting his kid was an extremely different scenario.
If koivu is there in the 3rd or 4th rounds I think it's a safe pick for the habs 100%.

i dont like nepotism with teams .because it brings unrealistic expectations from fans .
i was a fan of koivu as well.mikko never played for the habs .why not trade for mikko so he plays with saku?
keith tkachuck was so good his sons look like scrubs compared to him .imo.
the habs could have claimed brendan lemieux off waivers....didnt.
