    When it comes to crawler dozers, bigger is better. More big dozers are more efficient they push more material per hour, and per shift, for a lower overall cost per yard. Presenting the most efficient of them all, the Komatsu D575A-3 Super Dozer. The world's largest, most productive dozer by a factor of nearly two. The Komatsu-integrated design offers industry-leading productivity and reliability, now with additional advanced standard features. Hydraulics, power train, frame, and all other major components are engineered and manufactured by Komatsu. You get a machine whose components are designed to work together for higher production, excellent reliability, and improved operator comfort. Engine 858 kW 1,150 HP turbocharged, the aftercooled engine provides plenty of power. Large Blade Capacity 90 yd3. The D575A-3 Super Dozer reduces operating costs ($/tons) by high dozing productivity. Large capacity Super Dozer blade with low dozing resistance Automatic lockup torque converter saves fuel and increases speed and power transmitting efficiency on long pushes. Komatsu's new ergonomically designed control system "PCCS" creates an operating environment with "complete operator control". S UPER D OZER Operator-machine Interface Palm Command Electronic Controlled Travel Control Joystick Ergonomically designed palm command travel joystick provides the operator with a relaxed posture and superb fine control without operator fatigue. Transmission gear shifting is simply carried out with thumb. Fully Adjustable Suspension Seat and Travel Control Console For improved rear visibility during return part of cycle, the operator can adjust seat 15˚ to the right. The transmission and steering controls move with the seat for best operator comfort. The travel control console also has adjustment fore and aft and for height, with an independently adjustable armrest. Each D575A operator can adjust control positions to his individual preference. Fuel Control Dial Engine revolution is controlled by an electric signal, providing ease of operation and reducing problems caused by linkage joint seizure. Palm Command PPC Controlled Blade Control Joystick Blade control joystick uses the PPC (Proportional Pressure Control) valve and a palm command joystick like a travel control joystick. PPC control combined with the highly reliable Komatsu hydraulic system, enables superb fine control. Pitch operation is enabled by depressing switch with thumb. Height Adjustable Blade Control Armrest The blade control armrest is height adjustable without any tools in three stages, providing the operator with firm arm support and ideal armrest positioning. Electronic Control System Smooth and Soft Operation D575A-3 Super Dozer uses a newly designed power train electronic control system. Controller registers the amount of operator control, movements of lever and operation of switches and machine condition signals from each sensor. It calculates to accurately control the torque converter, transmission, steering clutches and brakes for optimized machine operation. The ease of operation and productivity of the new D575A-3 SD is remarkably improved by numerous new functions. Electronic Controlled Modulation Valve Controlled Transmission Controller automatically adjusts each clutch engagement depending on travel conditions such as gear speed, revolution, and shifting pattern. This provides shockless smooth clutch engagement, improved component reliability, expansion of component life, and operator riding comfort. Operator Comfort Operator comfort is essential for safe and productive work. The D575A-3 Super Dozer provides the operator with a quiet, comfortable environment where he can concentrate on the work at hand. The Komatsu SA12V170E engine delivers 858 kW and 1,150 HP at 1800 rpm. The fuel-efficient Komatsu engine and the heavy machine weight make the D575A-3 Super Dozer a superior crawler dozer in dozing production. The engine is designed to surpass EPA and CARB regulations and features direct fuel injection, a turbocharger, and an aftercooler to maximize fuel efficiency. The engine is mounted to the main frame with rubber cushions to minimize noise and vibration. Automatic Torque Converter Lockup System For greater efficiency during long pushes, the lockup mode allows the system to engage the torque converter lockup clutch automatically. Locking up the torque converter transmits all the engine power directly to the transmission, increasing ground speed and thus achieving efficiencies equal to a direct drive. Depending on the ground surface, the bogies and rubber cushions provide different absorption characteristics.

      Probably not many customers that need such a large dozer, the D11 and the D475 is probably a better choice for most in need of very large dozers

      Choice is do you want to be thrown all over cab in Komatsu which slows you down or a more balanced machine with a decent ride like D11!

    ACCO made the worlds largest dozer, but only 1 was made. The Komatsu 575 came in second. There are many video sections in here with the 475, which is basically equal to the Caterpillar D11.

      That is true, but ACCO never was used for the purpose; that's why Komatsu 575, in my opinion, is Nr.1 at this point. I mean heaviest in production was.

    Amazed to see so much black smoke these days,most big diesels these days emit none or little of this,that was a feature of earthmovers back in the 60's and seventies.May have been a factor in it's demise,also i think it needed 1500 +HP as speed in a push looks slow like D8H slooow when Cat was upping push speed,later.

    • @machinemasters79
      @machinemasters79  Год назад +1

      When I was still a little boy, I liked to see black smoke coming from tractors, but of course, times change, and now we think more about nature and the power could have been more.

    • @williamhall9204
      @williamhall9204 Год назад

      @MrLeslloyd I seriously doubt that another 350 HP is needed. There was a tremendous amount of research and development involved in designing this giant Komatsu dozer. I think the power level is very good as is. Installing a huge 1,500 HP or larger engine is going to dramatically increase fuel consumption and possibly increase track slippage under certain conditions. I believe that most heavy equipment enthusiasts are always looking for a speed increase when they watch extremely large earthmovers work. What they fail to realize is that machines in that size category are moving enormous amounts of rock and dirt in 1 pass. Think about how this Komatsu D575A-3 is pushing 270,000 lbs. of overburden in a single pass.The forces involved are just too high for the machine to operate at a fast pace. The engineers would probably have to boost the working weight of the machine by many tons , so it could push 90 cubic yards of material fast. The end result would probably be a very cumbersome and awkward dozer weighing in at about 200 tons or more. Just not a practical solution.

    🤔 bout 15,000 H.P. ,,,,, 1,200 tons or so would be a super efficient "mover" with everything factored in,, ill even come operate it for lunch 🤠✌️
