4x4 Maruti Baleno Rally Car: He Built It In His House

- This might just be the only 4x4 Baleno in India.
Jagbir Nirwan aka Jaggi Paaji is a phenomenal driver, but what really elevates respect levels here is the fact that he builds all his cars, himself, at his house in Patiala, Punjab.
He builds them, then he takes them to his fields right behind the house, and tests them. Hard.
If they flip, he gets a tractor, and flips them back up. I am not joking.
Jaggi Paaji very recently built this Baleno 4WD and wanted to benchmark it against other 4x4 rally cars. That brought him to Delhi today - and at the event at the Off-Road Adventure Zone (ORAZ) in Gurgaon, he won every single race he participated in.
Through this video, I try to get him to highlight the difference between his FWD (front wheel drive) Baleno and the 4WD Baleno and the different approach he has to take to drive them.
I have also included two of his runs - one in the FWD and the other in the 4WD Baleno so that you get an idea how a driver's style changes with different drivetrains.
There's a little bonus at the end too.
Let me know in the comments what you think of this video.

Suv : we can go anywhere
4x4 Baleno : hold my traction
hahahahahahahahhahah
Ground clearance : Dont ever think bout it
SUVs have a 4x4 system with 50:50 torque split between the either axles and a low range selections. This baleno has an AWD system with no surety of 50:50 torque split neither a low range selection, hence not capable off the road. Surely this AWD baleno handles better than 4x4 SUVs but over deep slush and large boulders it would struggle.
This guys is displaying the hidden gems from around the country.
Wow the feeling of winning on a self built car would be unparalleled!! Kudos to you Abhinav for putting such informative content forward!
Thank you. Jaggi paaji is a special guy.
Only 80k subscribers for a channel of this quality is a crime.
Abhinav, you've been bringing such niche content and I've developed a huge appreciation for the work you put into the videos. I truly believe that your work is parallel to none and is on par with the best content available on the world wide web. Cheers, and may you, your family and loved ones be blessed with good health and wellness. Regards.
Thanks, brother.
Glad to see that the Indian car culture is so much more than what meets the eye!
What would we do without the internet
Love to see atleast someone in india possess such level of dedication and enthusiasm which is very unlikely to found in general. Hope would see retro fit rear engine rear wheel drive car, with proper build.
Wowwww Abhinav, I'm from the North-East and I'm so glad I found out about the various motorsports communities here in India!!! Keep up the great content!!!
Ive seen him race that Baleno at multiple events absolutely crazy..i too am trying to build a race car outta my grand dad's 800 at home working on it on my own
Now look here carefully kids, it's a race car n has NO SPOILERS
I know this guy...haha
Jaggi or abhinav?
Always putting up the best videos
Abhinav, thank you once again for sharing this video. Just to let you know, you are playing a great role in the Indian motorsport and automobile community. Thank you for being a great contribution.

Yet another excellent video. Great job Abhinav. Would it be possible for you to collaborate with such master craftsmen and put up a video of a 4X4 car build like this Baleno from ground up. Thanks.
man ur content ❤️😁
Amazing video brother...
Thanks
Awesome 😍😍😍
🔥 as usual
4x4 baleno its great. Pls need to see the engine nd transmission. Is it still transverse!?
Meanwhile all I can see in my neighborhood are tata indicas with flame decals
Hahaha
work on your audio.. either give mike to ur guest or have two mikes.. anyways.. the stuff you show is just amazing..
I liked his voice.. there he comes, there he comes..
It's fantastic
Voice of the person is not audible. Kindly use a secondary mic as you have done on ur previous videos. Other than that ur contents are interesting. Keep going bro.😘
It's not 4x4 bro its AWD. Theirs a difference between them.
Yes the race between the Gypsy and the Baleno was pointless.
Nice content.
May not be relevant to this video but am looking for rally tires for suzuki zen 13". Any suggestions from where in India or who to get it from. Thanks 🙏
Plz show in detail build of awd baleno
that cage is clean aff, amazing build and great video. cheers!
ps: using steelies on a race car, wouldn't that pose the risk of bending those rims during jumps and tight entries?
Hai naa? Even I was impressed by the welding on the cage. I'll ask him about the rims. His answer would be: these were available.
@@abhinavbhatt haha thats true. small sized alloys aren't readily available in the market, plus they'd be expensive too. then I'd say the steelies are justified 😂
And no real sponsors. He funds himself.
I'd really like to know how the hydraulic e brake was installed.
And was the rear break disc or drum?
Can you please explain step by step ?
Your should have shown the engine bay and the drivetrain of this car
Please tell us how you put that awd kits on it.. Does it proper and safe if it works on the road?
Cooooooooool
Wowww🤯🤯🤯🤯
I know a guy who modified his old baleno into awd to drift it
I wanna do that too... Can you give me your insta to get some info and help!!!!!
This is a second one. Must appreciate that it was home built. There was one from south which was built in the same manner. Its was imported from Australia where they used to sell the 4x4. Kudos to the build and the owner.
Also the one from south had a proper 4x4 high and low shifter.
Can you please share some more details about that
@@narendranthilagar5698 I don’t know where is the car now. Back then it was on sale and according to the description the guy had imported the entire 4x4 set up with wiring and ecu. Guess thats a direct bolt on on the car.
Ok brother 👍 thanks for your reply
It car drift then 😍
Patiala peeps
Can you share details of AWD system?
SHEEESH!
Waaaw!!!!
Any idea the 4x4 kit is from which car model and country?
These models of the baleno were the only ones that lived up to that name, today’s baleno’s are just renamed pieces of fragile metal, they really don’t deserve that name.
I 100 per cent agree.
Stock Baleno would go 90+ kmph in 2nd gear . Only Merc bettered it.
BHAI mere pass BHI same car hai kahan Se kharida 4*4 parts & kaha peace install kiya please reply
Can you please share some details on how and where did he import the 4 wheel drive kit from?
I'll try to get that info from him and update as the pinned comment when I can.
@@abhinavbhatt any update?
any updates ?
Hai abhinav, I am from kerala (border area) and here in coimbatore my friend owns a 4×4 baleno with a GT head(swift sport) on it. Really good it was
Nice.
Hii brother can you please share your Instagram I'd

Sjoba💪🔥

You know, Achintya is an old friend from Nissan GT Academy days. Once I get some time, maybe I will.
@@abhinavbhatt thanks
From where he buy the 4x4 setup
baleno G16B i like it
Fwd was really quick . Awd has divided the power a lot
Is it leagle to import ????? I've heard the you cannot import a personally you must need a shop or a ferm to support
I saw a AWD scoda on instagram please make video
Very simple and modest guy.
Any Motorbeamers ???
I want to buy 4*4 kit how and where to buy kit please help
Me rally car hi dhund raha tha indiya me
♥️♥️
i just hate fwd cars, can u tell me the cost of changing the drivetrain
I think we can use a gypsy transmission or just make a transmission adaptor to match with any other transmission.
And why is he using open diff because most of the rally car use lsd
Any video on that brio??
No.
Its a frickin Suzuki.
Sir do you know about anyone who has done RWD conversion and stuffs ?
No. Sorry.
Hey Abhinav, is there any way I can reach out to him…I’m a Baleno owner looking to modify my car
AWD Baleno sir
I think you are right, sir.
I have a stock Baleno, a 2007 model (probably the last of them) which I bought brand new and is still my primary car. I would love to have that drivetrain on my car too for road use. How can i get some information about that Abhinav? I am based in Bangalore btw.
Can't really disclose in public how it was sourced. Best would be to ask him on Instagram direct messages. Find him as Jagbir Nirwan there.
@@abhinavbhatt Many thanks will check with him! Cheers!
Can you please fix the audio. It's really difficult to hear him.
Damn Abhinav How tall are you?
On the thumbnail that car looks like a toy in front of you
That's Jaggi paaji in the thumbnail, not me.
@@abhinavbhatt cool lol
Hey Abhinav , i know you are a journalist , i needed some help , so im currently pursuing architecture and i would say im a 8/10 at explaining my ideas to someone else , recently i realised that making a video and the voiceover part is quite tough , since you have a whole lot of experience and most of your videos are live , can you give any tips on how to achieve atleast a 8/10 level for voiceovers in a presentation video.
Practice till you get comfortable.
@@abhinavbhatt 😁 on it , thanks 😊🙏
Wow I thought only stock cars rule India 🤣
Is it(J anand) the name of the suspension
That's the brand.
11: 29 is that RACE_JAZZ owners BRIO? 😀
No idea. I don't know anyone in the Delhi car circles.
@@abhinavbhatt search RACE_JAZZ its the Instagram account of brio owner he also owns a moded honda jazz
@@siddhantbaliyan2746 ok
🥺
Hey @abhinav i found you as the 5th abienaw and my name is also abienaw
Is this 4x4 or AWD?
AWD
Didnt indian govt ban mods to your cars
Modification to frame and engine is banned. Bolt on parts are legal. Moreover, any car can be modified if informed to dto prior to modification .
Just simply bolt on kit??? 🤩
Bhai v3 ka kya hua
Reply tho karo bhai
V3 ka abhi kucch nahi ho raha. Jaise hi kucch hoga, main video daal dunga.
Where is this location,??.
ORAZ, Gurgaon-Faridabad Road.
@@abhinavbhatt thank you
Old model Baleno Is bae. New model WTf Tin
If it's possible Can you take full setup video of the car might help many people tried researching but couldn't find any details just wondering how it's converted and is it possible to make it full time rear wheel drive car in budget😂🤣 most car guy's in india can't even think about drift cars cause cars that have Potential to drift are very rare and asking price for those are at its peak , indian car community has to come up with solution for budget drift car it's a request from a broke car enthusiasts 🤣🤣
Get a used car
Remove all the unnecessary weights
Get a roll cage
Tune it
Suspension upgrade
Sound is terrible of the guy...barely able to hear him among all the noise
I have dream to make rwd suzuki car by engine swap in boot
Install g16 engine and transmission, shaft, diff from Suzuki gypsy
@@kumarll2378 great
@@Limitless_Patil what great
@@kumarll2378 for your kind information
No use bro. Rather do front engine rear wheel drive so you get better weight distribution for stability and drifting. An old baleno or Sx4 might be ideal for this kind of conversion.
I own one of these cars in America but here it's called the suzuki esteem definitely a fast ass car
Nice. We had an older generation called the Esteem here many moons ago. That was very popular.
May i have Paji's contact details please
