    I don't have either of the two, which ones do you recommend for having 1G Wi-Fi 6e internet and I usually play on PS5

    Would you ever consider a hardware type firewall and skill the 3rd pard firewall build into the gtax11000?
    I buy a $500 router aka asus gtax11000 only to find it the firewall is 3rd party. And to be able to use the firewall we have to accept policy terms of trendmirco.

      I did for a while have PfSense set up as a firewall, then looked on eBay for some used Firewall setups which looked like they worked. I am waiting for my new internet connection to be installed end of this month as is half the price of what I am paying now, so once this is set up may do a video on this. The T&C seems very long for trendmirco.

    Asus cane out with a new feature for some of its routers. The DNS SERVERS assignment. Seems to be a good thing. Probably you can do a short video of it. Thanks.

      Great video, I have 1G fiber internet, Right now I have a Asus GT-AX 11000 pro for gaming and Wifi, I am looking to another Router, I was think of getting another Asus Ax11000 pro, Or 2 Asus zenwifi pro ET12, Which setup do you think will give me faster speeds with more courage?

    100% Right on the power adapters. i literally ordered a new power adapter thinking the one that came with the newer version was a replacement. because i bought renewed. I will say going to do some testing my speed test feel like the power is meh. it shoots up in speeds but dont hold. Wish i seen this video earlier but will test the adapters to see if there is a difference when using the power adapter with asus on adapter

    I know I’m super late to the party but with a wired Xbox Series X using the AX11000, would you recommend upgrading to the AXE or are the differences performance-wise too minimal to even upgrade to the AXE?

    • @EclipseReviews
      @EclipseReviews  Год назад +1

      I would say if you have a wired connection both would be the same. But if you have many devices on the network and they are capable of 6E then its worth the upgrade. I would wait till WiFi 7.

      No, keep the money for home use is not worth to have something heavier, for the next couple of years you're ok. The big difference the new one brings is better distribution of devices on a mesh network, if you have several of them and by that I meant that will switch you faster to another better node when you roam around the house.

      @@SingularityAdvent currently on the look for a new router as I will finally be upgrading to frontiers 1gb fiber wifi coming from their 500gb. Which router do you reccomend?

  • @SingularityAdvent
    @SingularityAdvent 10 месяцев назад

    Unfortunatly the older version is more robust and works great. If you plan to buy a new one, keep the old one and make it part of the mesh.

      The older version is still a great router.

      If you have the money then yes is a good swap, if you need the extra WiFi bandwidth.

    Should show the back. What are the mounting capabilities?

    • @EclipseReviews
      @EclipseReviews  Год назад

      They do not have any mounting screw holes, just rubber feet. I believe I saw some 3D printed brackets for them on ebay awhile ago.

    Have netgear xr700.. used for gaming and 20 devices connected.. works good but I want better latency and better qos .. I have 1gb connection .. gt-ax6000 or ax11000? Don’t need the new 6e one

    • @EclipseReviews
      @EclipseReviews  Год назад

      I would say the AX11000 as has the extra WiFi bandwidth which can help you seperate your WiFi bands for different priorities.

    • @TygerByte

      I chose the ax6000 because of the dual 2.5gbe for both wan and lan. It wasn’t clear if the ax11000 could do dual 2.5Gbe. Since I’m paying for 1.2Gb speed from xfinity, I can now take full advantage of the speed. My before speed was 900Gbps down. After the router upgrade I’m at 1.5Gbps down (xfinity always over provisions). Of course you’d need to have a 2.5Gbe switch and 2.5 network cards.

    • @EclipseReviews
      @EclipseReviews  2 года назад +2

      If you want a new Router then buy the GT-AXE11000 as will last many many years and support newer devices in the future.
      If you you are not going to have and plans for WiFi 6E devices in the coming future and can pick up the GT-AX11000 cheaper then buy this as the Router is still amazing.

    • @EclipseReviews
      @EclipseReviews  2 года назад +1

      I would say unless you are having issues with speed or are planning on getting a lot more devices that will use the tri-band setup then perhaps wait for more WiFi 6E devices to become mainstream.
