This movie was a cornucopia of colors! Also, why did it take me so long to realize Uncle Aaron was Miles’ Uncle Ben 🤣

Most kingpin iterations don’t have powers. He’s human. He’s just incredibly strong. As big as he looks, in the comics he’s all muscle instead of fat. And he wears armored suits as well.

There were a couple of Post credit scenes in the movie and a funny song sung by Peter during credits. Hoping you didn't skip them.
All spider-people are shown are from the comics, including Peter Porker.
Miles does tie up his shoes for the Leap of Faith (where Wassup Danger plays).
Aaron Davis is the Prowler, who is a Thief. In this movie he mentions working as an Engineer near where they put up the Graffiti (meaning on the Collider).
And Yes, Kingpin is indeed a Supervillain. He's trained and built up a lot of muscles, and is pure muscle. No superpowers, just pure strength and a lot of money and underworld connections.
Miles is from Universe 1610 (look closely at the background various brands have fake names), and the Green Goblin (Norman Osborn in this too) shares the design with the Universe 1610. Peter's backstory in this has some subtle differences to the Raimi trilogy.
Peter B. Parker is from Universe 616B (Earth 616 is where most of the comics take place). He is likely the continuation of Toby Maguire's timeline (not Andrew's) as there are many similarities in his backstory to the Raimi trilogy. (The brands use real names in this Universe).
If you pay close attention, you'll notice that each spider-person has their own animation style!
Love this movie! Only the sequel is better than it!

Fun fact Miles first appeared in Ultimate Comics: Fallout #4 (August 2011) a comic series that showcased how the world reacted to the death of Ultimate Spider-Man not long after his 16th Birthday. Miles would show up at the last few pages of issue four wearing a classic Spider-Man costume in honour of Spider-Man taking off him mask to reveal his face to the reader. Miles later takes up the mantle of Spider-Man, meets an older Peter Parker (Mid to late 20s) from Earth-616 the Mainline Spider-Man who got transported to the Ultimate Universe. Takes part in the Spider-Verse comics, Ultimate Universe is destroyed with Miles and his family are re-written into Earth-616 and since 2015 he's been active alongside the mainline Spider-Man who was introduced all the way back in Amazing Fantasy #15 (1962).
    *Who is Ultimate Spider-Man?*
Who is Ultimate Spider-Man? Well, back in the 2000s Marvel wanted to make it easier for new fans to jump into comic books. Characters like Spider-Man have been around since 1962 with these stories being set in a single connected continuity known as Earth-616 or Prime Universe. So naturally by the year 2000, there were 50 years’ worth of stories making it extremely difficult for new fans to find a good starting point.
So, writers at Marvel came up with the idea of creating a new modernized, re-imagined continuity beginning with Ultimate Spider-Man (September 2000) by Brian Michael Bendis with a new issue released each month under the Ultimate Marvel imprint. This Ultimate universe designation is Earth-1610 and would allow new readers to jump into this continuity with no history, A new beginning with fresh young versions of characters.
Mile’s universe in this film pulls heavily from the Ultimate Universe and even uses the same designation Earth-1610 though I should state that the film has a lot of changes and is more inspired by Miles's story in the Ultimate comics.
*Does Peter die in the comics?*
Like the film, Spider-Man does die in the Ultimate comic, but he was 16 years old and was killed outside Aunt Mays's house fighting Norman Osborn and his Six. Electro would be shot by Aunt May. Peter would then throw a truck at Osborn which exploded killing Green Goblin and knocking Peter back. Peter Parker would later die surrounded by Mary Jane, Johnny, Gwen, and Aunt May all have gathered around him while he said goodbye.
In this film, Spider-Man died at 26 during his fight against Kingpin. He’s also blonde with blue eyes so that’s different, Ultimate Spider-Man from the comics had the classic 2000s curtains haircut, brown hair of course, and hazel eyes. The film Spider-Man also has elements of the Sam Rami Movies such as stopping the train, Spider-Man 3 dancing, and Doc Ock attacking Peter and MJ by throwing a car through the window of a café shop like we saw in Spider-Man 2.
*Why is the Green Goblin so different?*
Green Goblin’s visual design is a mix of the Ultimate Green Goblin a physical change in his body that turned Norman into this hulking Goblin creature combined with elements of the Mainline comics, Earth-616 Green Goblin with the purple hat, and his face resembles the Goblin mask worn by Earth-616 Norman Osborn. But the whole idea of Norman turning into this monstrous creature is pulled from the Ultimate Spider-Man comics. Norman used the Oz serum on himself but instead of turning into a super soldier like we see in the mainline comics and Spider-Man (2002) he instead transforms into this monstrous Goblin-looking creature.
*Why is Doc Ock a Woman?*
Olivia Octavius is an origin character created for this film, acting as a gender swap of Otto Octavius with rubber tentacles instead of Metal ones. We have no idea if Otto exists or if both of these characters are somehow related but I should state that the Ultimate Universe does have a Doc Ock who funny enough was used as the basis for the Doc Ock in Spider-Man 2 (2004).
Ultimate Universe Otto was working at Oscorp using experimental tentacle arms. While working alongside Norman Osborn explosion was set off in the laboratory leading to the arms being built into Otto’s waist. I’m not sure if Otto exists in the Miles universe but we do see Gwen fighting a classic Dock Ock before being sucked into Miles's universe same goes with Peter P Parker both using Metal Tentacles and being depicted with Otto’s classic comic book haircut and googles.
    *Funky Brands*
Another change is the alternate versions of brands, companies, movies, etc. Feature on Miles Universe. FedEx is called RedEx, NYPD is changed to PDNY, Coca-Cola is called Koca Soda, a Chance the Rapper poster has him wearing a hat with the number 3 on it instead of 4 etc. showcasing that Miles universe is like a reflection of our own with these changes. Peter B Parker from Earth-616 uses the real brand names showcasing his world is much closer to our own, Earth-616 is also closer in general to the mainline comics with Earth-616 being the designation for Marvels Mainline Universe.
In the Ultimate comics though they very much reflected our real world with a ton of references to real life brands, actors, and pop culture in general. But like I said at the beginning Miles universe in this film is only inspired by the comics Ultimate Universe so very much two separate universes, Earth-1610 and Earth-1610B.

You should react to the Daredevil series. You get the Kingpin's backstory and a look into his relationship with Vanessa. Excellent villain.

This is my favorite movie. Since you like the Post Malone song, I hope you know he is the voice of the guy who says "I think it's a Banksy" which is replayed in the second movie too.
Hope your dog is okay. Peter Porker does have Looney Tunes powers in the film. In the comic books it's more like Peter's abilities in a pig, but it's fun here how the visual style of their artwork tells you so much about what kind of world they are from. (Parody is fair use, legally speaking!)
I hope they show Uncle Aaron's backstory more in the third movie!

Watching the spider verse movies with all the other spider man movies stored into your brain makes those movies even more pleasurable, because you'll get the references. For the best experience, watch all the spiderman movies before hand. You don't have to, but to get the best experience
