How many Monitors is enough? What do you guys think of the JSAUX FlipGo? You can check it out here: jsaux-flipgo-portable-dual.kckb.st/23ee9c3d
I received yesterday my 2 FlipGo 16in pro monitors. Thanks, Matthew, for the review, it convinced me to order a 2nd one, I was hesitant before because of the Kickstarter uncertainty. The basic metal stands are perfect and light, the flip cover heavy and not very good. Now, with one more 16in portable monitor on a tripod above my 16in LG Gram laptop I have the dream 6 screen travelling setup!
This thing is made for me. I work remotely in motorhome and need displays that do not require lots of power, are light and easy to put away to a drawer. Currently using Asus mobile display and this feels like a definite upgrade.
Ya they're pretty neat! Crazy it only needs one cable. Of course you can plug them into the wall as well if you dont want to drain your laptop battery.
This is DEFINITELY my "w*t dream". I LOVE this.
LOL
Love the concept and at the same time I don't like the idea of carrying it with the stands, but for using it at home or leaving it at the office looks really useful.
Ya the folio will help if you dont want to carry stands but I'd probably only carry 1 if I travelled.
Holly cow! Six sxreen on the go? Does the GPU handle all those screens well? Did you experience any glitches or lags?
Amazing review, thanks! How well it worked with 6 independente monitors with two FlipGo connected? Worried about pushing the integrated GPU too hard and get slow performance with a setup like this.
Cool review. I have a 6 display setup now with my Linux laptop but I am using DisplayPort trickery to make it happen. I have preorderd the 13.5" model because it is the EXACT screen size as my Framework 13. I am SUPER excited about this and if it goes well, I just may buy more.
that is going to be awesome for the FlipGo what he mentioned with a PC handheld, tablet and game console...
jsaux flipgo is a treat! Been waiting for the release version for a while! Combined with the new macbook air m3 it shows its true potential
Aw damn. This thing looks awesome as-is, but I wish it had a tent mode 😂 if it could bend backwards, I could use it as a presentation display for meetings or TTRPGs
Thanks for the review it’s inspiring, do you notice any lag when running 4 screen or 6 screen with the Zenbook duo. Can the IGPU handle the load ? Thanks
Same question
Will this work with an M1 Mac / would it be considered 2 screens instead of 1?
Four isn’t enough for me at my working with excel. I want this setup so bad 😮
Will it be working as 2 screens if you use it with the steam deck?
Can’t help but feel that an OLED ‘fold’ solution would be the way to go with things like this, so you could avoid having that centre bezel.
I also think it would be more interesting to have the hinge on the short edge so it folds out into an ultra wide display. Logic for this is that many multi monitor users have screens in landscape orientation side by side. It would also mimick the Ultra wide monitors now available but in a portable format.
OLED fold would be super cool but I'd imagine it would be very costly plus a bit easier to break.
Can the display play the same as the first montior. To the two montior? And flip to the person in front of you to see
If you're using an M series MacBook, is using Ultra view the only way to use both screens since the M series chips only allow for one external monitor, or is there a way to utilize both screens with a MacBook without Ultra view? Thanks, love the video!
If you take the Pro version, you have DisplayLink support and then you can use the FlipGo with 2 screens mode.
Sweet setup. I'm just finishing up a four-day business trip and it would have been really helpful to have those two extra screens.
LOL nice! Did you have to travel far?
@@MatthewMoniz It was a 12-hour round trip on the road. I do QA and project management work and I have the ability to have three documents up at home (I telecommute), but just my laptop when traveling. Major handicap.
I can Imagine having code on one, a Twitch stream on another while having subway surfers and family guy on the last 2
Information overload!
I'd be awesome though. :))
Please can you review de new lenovo yoga 9i 2 in 1 i7 ultra? Thnks!
Great idea, I dearly hope they would have made the screens 120hz. 60hz is honestly not ideal
Can you connect the switch without having to use a dock??
Hey, is this actually available for sale? I'm trying to buy it but I can't fuind itg anywhere for sale online?
I wonder if theres a new laptop setup episode coming.
Tomorrow!
Instead of an iPhone, I would use a Samsung Galaxy S24 ultra in Dex Mode with an external keyboard.
That would work even better
6:40 please link to your monitor mount?
How is the Asus Duo charging while connected to the JSAUX? Does it charge, or it does not manage to deliver enough power?
Asus duo charges if you plug in a charger into the jsaux flipgo.
@@MatthewMoniz thanks, great review as always. I have always pledged, hope they will deliver.
Not Jesus flip go 😭😂
Debating to get this or just get a lg dualup for slightly more
hahaha this is crazy! I love it
Crazy is good! Thanks for watching
Guy I knew in college had five monitors. And this was CRTs.
lol wow that must of been a big desk!
Bro just hacked Pentagon 😂
Insane insane insane.😱😱😱😱🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
As a day trader this is lovely
How many monitors is enough?
Yes.
LOL
This was barely a review. What about the display options? Is able to display as two separate monitors on a mac? On a Windows? I would like a bit more in-depth information.
Your videos are awesome
But ig 3 is the max i can go with moniter s 😂
Thanks! Ya 6 is a lot! For me 2 is enough but everyone is different
The platonic premise is enticing, but the real-world application is just not realistic... Nobody travels with all that mess, and while at home you can simply connect a standard laptop to an external 49" ultrawide monitor and have all the screen real estate you need.
This is a cool solution searching for a non realistic problem.
Of course having 6 monitors is not practical for most people its just the idea that you can create a combo that works for you. Assuming you want to use more than 1 or 2 displays.
I love when people voice their strong opinions, even when they are totally wrong. I travel with a 15inch Wenger laptop backpack. In the laptop compartment I have my LG Gram 16 and the LG View 16in portable monitor. In the 2nd compartment I have another Uperfect 16in portable monitor and an Asus Rog 15.6 portable monitor with its tripod. I have already pre-ordered the 16in JSAUX, it will shave at least 2 kgs (tripod, monitor cases) from the overall weight. At home I have one 32in and 5x 24in monitors, the 49inch is totally unpractical for me.
@@skipper63400 congratulations, you represent the 0.01% of the travelling community... you realize that (almost, apparently) nobody travels with multiple laptops, portable monitors, tripods, etc except a microscopical corner of the spectrum, right? Come on, you gotta admit that. Like I said, this setup tries to solve a problem that (almost) nobody has.
@@HectorYague your wrote about "platonic" and "real-world application". I showed that it is both not platonic and realistic. Yes it is a niche market, but not sure about your percentage estimations. Niche markets have a reason to exist, and I am glad that companies keep to innovate and do not get dissuaded by your imaginary percentages. Asus thinks so, makes money since ages with portable monitors as well as Chinese copycats, Lenovo and Dell. Every user that travels with one portable monitor would probably choose to get this one since thickness and weight increase marginally, and you get additional real estate. You are welcome
@@skipper63400 fine, you win this battle of semantics: this is indeed a viable solution for all you six people who fly around with 20 pounds worth of tech in your luggage. The rest of the world (except you six fellows, of course) remain scratching our heads pondering in what real world scenario this kind of arrangement would be preferable over a traditional laptop hooked up with a traditional ultrawide monitor. Have a great day!
I cant wait for the next community laptop setups video
Tomorrow =)
