I had heart palpitations and high blood pressure 179/90. After listening to Dr Berg, i took magnesium, potassium, Vitamin D3 and K2. Within a week my blood pressure was down to 135/80 and no more palpitations. My doctor was surprised by the changes and kept retaking my blood pressure to confirm results! Thank you Dr Berg.

Hello Dr. Berg! When you talk about magnesium dosage, are you referring to the capsule amount in mg, or the amount of elemental magnesium in mg? For example, I take a total of 1g (2 x 500mg) of magnesium citrate each day in divided doses. However, this provides a total of just 300mg of elemental magnesium, the rest I assume would be citrate. I guess my question would be how much elemental magnesium should we/I be taking, based on the amounts you mentioned in your video? For example, when you quote 600mg of magnesium, is this the elemental amount? Thanks so much!

Hi I have watched many of your videos and find them quite eye-opening, interesting and informative.
What I would like to ask you is - I have epilepsy and was suggested that magnesium L-threonate may be a help to me and possibly/hopefully get me out of seizure medication. Or is there another type of mineral or vitamin that you might suggest.
I would like to find out what would be the maximum amount of magnesium and what time(s) of the day to take it. I was taking 150 mg of magnesium citrate at lunch for my digestive system. 200 mgs of magnesium glicinate around 9 PM and another 200 mgs of magnesium glicinate when I wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I was taking the magnesium gliciinate for my sleep and epilepsy.
Also I could ask I have heard if you have GERD to avoid certain foods, but I am not sure if you should avoid them all day or can they be eaten in the morning or lunch. Also is there any written form somewhere that I could print.
    Thanks for your help Craig

This may sound strange but hold the bottle of Magnesium to your chest, if you rock forward you are deficient if you rock back your body has more than enough but if you don’t go back or forward your body has the right amount. You can do this with any vitamins.

    Hi Dr Berg,
I have been listening to lot of your videos. Thanks these videos are very informative.
how does body reacts to the High intensity interval training?
You have explained HIIT are helpful for weight loss/Fat burn. But my question is how Interval is helping in HIIT.
As Any High intensity work out starts burning glucose/stored sugar as main fuel and not fat. But, in HIIT, just by adding interval in high intensity, why body starts burning fat and not glucose/stored sugar?
Question is more of curiosity/personal understanding.

I took a third dose of mag glycinate and had slightly loose stools for 2 days. I take 1 capsule of magtein mag threonate every night for a week, and it makes me regular. That is a quarter of 144 mg., they recommend taking 4 for 34% DV. I could never leave the bathroom if I took the amounts you suggest. What am I doing wrong? Are my capsules actually containing mag citrate and not showing it?

Im 48 and I have been struggling with anxiety starting about four years ago I have found that the brand Pure magnesium glycinate does help a lot with anxiety. When I run Out after a few days I’ll notice my anxiety start up So after a few days my body tells me when I’m low on magnesium. It also helps with constipation and give me a calm feeling. Now I have tried a few other brands and they do not work well. Thanks to your advice about magnesium I feel so much better. Live your videos Dr
