I grew up eating this, my mama and my grandma made it, we're from West Virginia. They're both with the Lord and I MISS RECIPES LIKE THIS! ❤️😊 I saved this to my playlist and I'm makin' it this weekend!! Cannot wait 💥💯👍
My Mom made this dish when I was growing up. She would set aside a serving without the onions and mushrooms for me, as I refused to eat them. Little did I know I was eating both from the soup mix and canned soup. 😊 I love this dish with the veggies as an old guy now. Thank you so much Ladies!
Ladies, Thank you so much for Keeping on... So enjoyable watching you and of course missing a certain young man who will never be forgotten. Keep up your excellant work... God Bless
Y’all’s recipes remind me of my family and the meals my grandmother would make while I was growing up. That feeling is even better than how excited I am to make it for my kids. Then hopefully they’ll have wonderful memories of me making it for them that they can reminisce about when they’re grown up
Another great looking meal girls. If you add a tbl spoon of oil to your pasta water it will prevent your pasta from sticking together. Just a little tip. Have a great day 😊.
I'm so glad you picked up where Steve left off and continued his legacy with this show. I was in complete shock after finding out that Steve had died shortly after his death, but having you two continue on always brings me happiness, especially when I see you cooking together. I have a tip to offer you when it comes to needing a larger skillet. Rather than adding your noodles, etc. to the skillet, add the skillet contents to the pot you just used to cook your pasta. It makes mixing a whole lot easier. I know for filming it makes things look nicer and is easier for others to see using the skillet, but mix in the pot and then add back to the skillet if necessary to film the " money " shot. My best to both of you. -- den in NH.
This is such a great, hardy meal. I always loved the egg noodles; my sister loved it with rice. 🤦🏼♂️ But you did crush my soul. The world's only "W" is Lea and Perrins, everything else is black salty water. L&P actually brings flavor to your plate, not just sodium. Get the gravy a couple of good shots of Worcestershire sauce also. It really enhances the flavor
I always take the smaller amount n pour it into the larger amount. Like with this recipe, I would pour the meat/gravy mixture over the noodles. I would turn off the heat to the pasta when its done, leave the pot on the burner to stay warm, then pour the meat/gravy mixture over the hot pasta. That way it's not pouring a hot mixture over a cooled pasta. Looks delicious!! Great job, ladies!!
I made this last night for dinner! U ladies deserve a reward!! Being a senior n dealing with having to make substitutions, may I share? Instead of the beef tips/stew meat, I used a pound of hamburger. Instead of noodles bcuz I needed to make some homemade noodles n dry them, I just used some macaroni. I followed the rest of ur recipe. I am proud to say, my picky husband loved it n ask for more!!! U scored high points for this recipe. Thank u so much!! I will be looking at ur channel for more quick n easy recipes.
My third recipe I made this week from shotgun red , it was awesome , but I did simmer meat in crockpot for 2 hours . I can’t believe how easy and delicious this was !!!!
I fixed this for dinner tonight, and the wife said it was the best meal I ever cooked; the only change I made to the recipe was I used frozen egg noodles instead of your suggested noodles.. Thanks for the idea, much appreciated!
Looks so good and nostalgic! It's also very close to my cheater version of beef stroganoff, just need to add a bunch of sour cream after pulling it off the heat.
I made this and it was good. I added 2 big spoons of tomato paste to it for another flavor note which works for me. And I pureed up the onions in a food processor so they melted into the mix. I like the onion flavor but not so much the texture of onions.
Mmmm I'm gonna make this tomorrow! It's cold and rainy here in Michigan so this fits the bill! Thank you girls! Love your videos...miss seeing Red too...seemed like such a genuine guy
Everything but the mushrooms and Worcestershire Sauce. Not crazy about either one. The rest of the recipe sounds delish! I'd like to try this with chicken too. Due to health issues (gout), I'm suppose to stay away from too much beef. I'll be trying this recipe this weekend! TFS!
Now this looks good. I just used all my noodles but I didn't have the stew meat either so hopefully the next trip to the store I can get everything. I even ran out of cream of mushrooms and chicken. I never run out.
One of my favorite things in life. I will do more like chicken and noodles from a precooked roast possibly and using the larger thicker homemade style noodles. ITS ALL good....😋
@@CookingwithShotgunRed well you guys are worth it. Love your channel and I really miss Steve's bright cheery way. Great how you can continue as he. I wish I was able to send you bags of money. Just not possible. God bless.
Hi. Yum. I’ll probably add diced potatoes & peas to mine. & I don’t like mushrooms or mushroom soup. Do I need to add some other cream soup? Or none at all?
Good looking recipe, only thing I would like to see is plate the noodles and top with the beef and sauce. So the noodles don't soak up all of that delicious gravy...

OMG! My dad used to make this and, well, he's gone now and I never got to see how he made it. Thank you. ❤️
Well, Jennifer & Sheila. There ain't enough words in the English language to describe how much I'm impressed with the beef & noodles dish.
Thank you Erik! Enjoy! 😋

Just like the recipes in Woman's Day and Family Circle magazines that my Grandmother cooked when I was a kid in the 70s...
Ladies, Thank you so much for Keeping on... So enjoyable watching you and of course missing a certain young man who will never be forgotten. Keep up your excellant work...

You could always pour the beef tips and sauce over the noodles in the big pot if you're afraid your skillet is too small. That looks yummy!!

My mom still makes a recipe like this…it is pure comfort food!❤
My mom used to add lipton onion soup mix to dishes like this what i remember. She often added it to gravys too....YUMMMM
Sounds great!

This will be good on a cold day with some french bread ❤️👍

Oh yeah! With a dollop of sour cream we'd call that Kentucky Beef Stroganoff. Add a side of turnip greens and it's the whole meal. Thanks for sharing.
You are welcome Gerard!
Yum! Looks really delicious. Great job ladies.

THAT MADE MY MOUTH WATER WHEN YOU TOOK A BITE!!

Looks yummy!!! I make my beef and noodles almost the same way! Sometimes, I add some sour cream or cream cheese right before the noodles...
Great idea!!
I've Added a spoon full of sour cream so good. and of coarse some french bread or a salad with it.

Looks absolutely delicious but I need more gravy. Lol 😂
Yummy 😋
What would be good to add in would be some sour cream. Make like a Stroganoff. Delish
Yes it would! 👍😊
Jen Jen what is a great brand of olive oil ?
Extra Virgin Olive Oil, I like... On a budget: Bertolli or Pompeian. A little more $$ Colavita or Brightland is prettty good. 😊
Would like this in recipe form thanks

You can use Cream of Chicken

I would use sour cream.
Yummy 🤤 just missing some sour cream 😊

Good looking recipe, only thing I would like to see is plate the noodles and top with the beef and sauce. So the noodles don't soak up all of that delicious gravy...
