I don't like the negativity from some of these comments. I'm BTS all the way but I still listen to other groups. I just can't invest knowing everything about the other groups. It's his channel and he also stated the majority of his reactions are for BTS. If that changes, so what? If you don't like it you can unfollow. I love that he's entering in this KPop journey.
Agree. I LOVE BTS. No question there’s nobody at their level, they did what nobody else has done. Yes there’s groups before them but BTS has done far more than their predecessors. And other newer groups are benefiting now from what they have done. They paved a whole new way. But it doesn’t mean I don’t listen to anyone else. Enjoying other music doesn’t diminish anything.

My daughter is 9 and she had a blackpink party. She love’s blackpink. Her and her friends had a blast dancing and singing to their songs. I bought lots of little stickers bags and party stuff with blackpink and made goodie bags they enjoyed every moment of it🖤🩷🖤🩷

Hey my fellow ARMY, everyone has the right to explore. Please be respectful. Like you I'm BTS all the way. However, my journey took me through Black Pink, EXO, Red Velvet, Big Bang,and lots of other KPOP groups. Once I realized they were not what I was looking for it solidified my connection to BTS. I can still enjoy other music but my heart bleeds purple. Remember that the boys teach us to be respectful and let others walk their path and follow their dreams.

I'm not worried that he will be taken away by any other group because, Bangtan is tried and true. The plan he presented to us was to throw in other groups on the weekends. During the week it is still BTS, and some other BTS content on the weekends as well. He is not moving away from the boys.

BTS got me into kpop and they are my ultimate group BUT they do not stop me from exploring other groups. I like black pink and think they are amazing and talented as a group and as solos. I’m glad you liked them. Just know that you are expected to get hate and unfollows whenever you explore someone outside of BTS. Don’t let it affect you. I'm a multi stan. SHINee and Super Junior got me in to kpop, then I found GOT7 and BTS all in 2014. this four are my main groups but also know stray kids, exo, black pink, twice, vixx, seventeen, and a few songs from other groups too, Love music. my playlist is a mix of different languages and types of music lol

Absolutely nonsense. They are not on the same level as BTS the gap is massive. Dad you are reacting to a group who's fans send death threats to BTS. Let me put some facts before you. BTS Contribution is over 80% all the rest including BP is in the less than 20 show are they bigger. There's a video where a lady looks at all the facts and figures published on each companies website which proves BTS is bigger than kpop. You can clearly see the difference between a BTS performance and a BP one. There's just absolutely no way they are bigger than BTS who have won 1400 awards, 5 time Grammy Nominees, aof the year US and Korea many times. Record breaking, all their solo songs achieved No 1. Jimin is the only Korean to ever chart No1 on the US Billboards, he did that. Coachella doesn't mean bigger, when they sell out Wembley Stadium in London for two nights in 90 minutes and has audiences of 90,000 then you may have a point. But please, BTS are on a whole other level. No other group can even touch the level of their success. BTS paved the way and suffered terribly at the hands of other groups their fans, show hosts and those who should have known better. BP didn't go through any of that. Instead their fans, blinks twisted BTS words and used it against them. I'm disappointed that you haven't even touched the surface of BTS and already fansif other groups have prized you away. Always happens. It's your channel and love your love for BTS especially Jimin but I will be honest I won't tune in for other groups. My favorites from Black Pink are Pink Venom 💗 (number 1), shut down, boombayah. Lisa has two solo songs I LOVE ... Money and Lalisa! And Rose has a song called Gone. I highly recommend Pink Venom, Money, and Lalisa❤
If you listen to other groups I recommend The Rose. They have many beautiful songs. My personal favorite is She's In The Rain❤ Mamamoo is a great girl group. I don't listen to many gg, I like male voices better but girls from Mamamoo are awesome. Especially on stage. Their stage presence is top tier💜
This song was released when everyone was speculating about YG (their label) going bankrupt because their ex-CEO and some idols were under investigation for the "burning sun" scandal (gambling, group chat where they exchange sex videos of girls unknowing to being filmed, and so on..). This song saved the label. The lines "how you like that" refer to the media who were constantly attacking the label while Blackpink came back stronger than ever. "Look at you, look at me" refers to the ones criticizing YG for the scandals and hoping to the failure of YG Entertainment, while the girl's popularity was increasing overseas.

Are people really trying to fight in the comments? I've been ARMY since 2013 and I like some of Blackpink's songs. What I don't like is how YG has treated those poor girls since day one. Remember everyone alot of the things we don't like have nothing to do with the artists but the companies instead.

I'm new to kpop as well, just a few months but what got me started was StrayKids..they kept popping up on my Tiktok feed, and I got hooked..then I started seeing other groups like BTS and Ateez..I'm soo in love with all members of BTS 💜 I tear up on a couple of their songs still, just moves me..💜 Jimin is my bias and Jungkook is my wrecker ❤ I'm definitely saving up for the BTS concert when they have one, when they all reunite next year! 💜 When you watch StrayKids you will get the Felix effect 😂 due to his angel face and deep voice..BTS as you have amazing music videos 💜 StrayKids and Ateez have some amazing music videos as well, like movie trailers 😄 just wanted to recommend some other groups since you said you wanted to check out some more groups..the rabbit hole goes deep 😂 I enjoy your reactions and taking this journey with you 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
The same here. I had never listened to k-pop. Then I found Stray Kids by chance and I'm now a baby Stay. Now I have found Blackpink and I'm a baby Blink. I haven't heard BTS yet or other k-pop groups but will explore their songs. I don't understand the toxic attitudes of some fans where they bash all the other k-pop groups. One can like more than one group.
I’m excited for you to discover new groups in K-Pop. BTS will always be my #1 favorite but there so many other groups that are so good too. My second favorite group will be Ateez you should give them a listen, check out songs like Guerilla, Bouncy, Halazia, Crazy Form and my absolute favorites song is Turbulence.

Here's my take on blackpink- I like a lot of their music, they are really good at catchy bangers and it's fun! They do not have the substance, broad range of style or writing talent that BTS has, but on a more superficial level they are great at what they do and make enjoyable music. No hate here from this army.
no need to compare, just because u stan bts you don't have to downgrade other group just because one person starts venturing kpop outside bts. At the end of the day, it depends on people's taste on music
Sorry about the negative comments. Blinks and armys have...a not so pretty history. And for reasons relevant to either side they don't get along well. It's a long story and it's better to not get into it as situations escalate insanely quickly when the two fandoms are involved so just try to ignore them while enjoying music from both groups of you want

Like of course everyone has different taste, so if someone don’t like the other group’s music or whatever, some will start defending and hating the other group for no reason bc they can’t handle criticism even if it’s not insulting in any way their favs. And that’s how things escalate and more people joins but now saying nonsense which creates a bigger hate from both sides. Let’s be honest, a lot of times the real hate starts with a stupid comment. For example: a blink says “I find BTS boring on stage.” Then an army gets offended and says “well I find your group boring.” Then an stupid person provokes with “but bts’ stage presence is terrible” and gets a bunch of likes and that’s when a lot of armys stars showing fancams of BP and then Blinks do that too + calling us “ratmys”. Like there’s really no end and everything starts with a stupid and toxic person join criticism that maybe even from the start didn’t have an insulting intention. In fan wars is not much about if x person is friend or not of BTS, is about the message that a fan made that started everything. That’s why it’s called fan wars. Of course there’re some exemptions of toxic people straight hating idols but the whole fandom in general just ignore that bc those type of accounts live hating and even faking being a fan

The 1% being instances where something so insanely controversial happens that all kpop fandoms unite. For instance when Hyuna started dating that sex offender and everyone came together to cancel her. But aside from that you would not catch us within anyone elses space. It just never ends well.

Unfortunately there are many BTS fans whose egos are so invested in BTS dominating every category of achievement that they feel like they are personally attacked and their religion is insulted if someone praises another group...especially Blackpink (whom they hate, hate, hate). Of course they especially hate Blackpink because Blackpink has come closer than any other Kpop group with regard to rivaling BTS...and in some categories even surpassing BTS.
My KPop Group Trifecta... Mamamoo, BlackPink, and SHINee. SOLOISTS... Bae Suzy, IU, and Kim SeJeong(who is an Huge IU fan girl LoL), ALL of whom are Very good actresses as well. Sejeong is the Reason I got into KPop

They were extremely loyal to one group, pushed them to radio stations, buy their albums, requests Target to carry their albums in the shelves...so sorry if they only stan BTS. Hey, Nesto!! 58 yr old Army here. This is just a thought I had: Now that you're exploring different K-Pop groups, it might be a good idea to research the K-Pop Industry and the history of K-Pop and learn more about the background and different generations of K-Pop in order to get a better perspective of the Industry as a whole. That's what I had to do. BTS and Black Pink are considered 3rd Generation K-Pop artists. The current wave of K-Pop artists are considered "4th Gen". Plus, having more information on the former "Big 3" K-Pop Entertainment Companies: YG, SM, & JYP will make things easier to understand, too!!
No one has the story BTS does, but I have a thought people will probably disagree with. I have thought, in some ways, Dreamcatcher is similar to BTS. They are from a small company. They only recently got their first win. They tell stories within their eras. They do more difficult dances than other girl groups. dont mind any negative comments youll find who you like by trying different groups. if you only like vibes and beats more than substance then youll like lots of kpop. but substance is hard to come by bts has the substance along with the vibes and beats. most of kpop dont write their own music and armys reactions in the comments is because remember the hardships video you did? those fandoms are the fans of other groups who hate bts. so thats why theyre upset since now your comments will be filled with people who hate army and bts. but its your channel and if you wanna listen to more you should but dont expect the same substance out of most kpop groups. it depends what kind of substance actually if you like bad bitch songs from artists like nicki or megan or cardi you may like blackpink. however nicki, megan and cardi have more substance in their discography's while blackpink is basically only bad bitch songs which is fine is ppl like that. theyre catchy and get stuck in my head sometimes. if you like conscious and lyrical rap bts is the group thatll give you that plus so much more. kpop isnt a genre but there is a set formula to most groups and most have a niche they stick to but some others branch out and try new things bts is leading in that area and hybe groups are following in that path but other labels have more of a set niche. black pink is from YG ent and their groups are heavy in edm/electronic sounds like in this song. one song i really like from YG is jikjin by treasure but what throws me off is the bridges in YG artists songs i dont like the over the top endings. SM is another label that is very vocal heavy youll find from what ive heard r&b, ballads and slower paced vibes. i really like taemin's guilty and advice hes also in the group shinee. i dont stan aka im not a huge fan of any of these artists i dislike most of their music but i give it all equal chance. i dont defend the artists unless theyre faced with racism,sexism etc the isms. but for the most part if i like a song ill listen to it regardless of who the artist is as long theyre not a horrible human (example Seungri from big bang is a horrible person so i do not listen to anything he was involved in) but i do enjoy taeyang sometimes especially his collab with jimin. taeyang was in the same group big bang but i only listen to some of his solo music not the group. as for jyp twice is really good, many also like stray kids. my favorite from jyp though is xdinary hereos theyre more of a rock group than kpop. i like gods menu by stray kids but i have to be in a certain mood to listen to them cause a lot is going on productionwise (if you have any ballads stays please rec) twice i dont stan but i know more about them than other groups i know most of the members names and have checked out some members solo work and like a lot of twices songs especially from i cant stop me to present eras their more cutesy bubblegum songs arent as appealing to me but some are very catchy like feel special or what is love or cheer up. im only naming groups i know btw. then theres groups like ateez, g-idle, kard, the rose, mamamoo etc all from smaller labels not part of the big 3 all very unique groups i like ateez wave and another song i hear on tiktok but dont know the name, g-idle is very unique i dont listen to them often but their songs are really good my favorite is oh my god and the new song wife (or newer at this point) i LOVE kard, the rose and mamamoo again dont stan them but like a lot of their songs. kard is a coed group they have a lot of latin influenced songs as well as island influence. the rose is another rock group love their songs especially come back to me. and mamamoo theyre like the best female vocalists in my opinion in kpop. their music is so great even their solo music i have listened to all the members solo music i think i know about them the most outside of bts. then theres hybe groups aka groups that are under labels under hybe. hybe was created by bighit aka bts label. txt is under the same label as bts theyre a very diverse group too doing many genres i love their rock genre songs most but their pop and other genre songs are really good too. seventeen i only like 2 songs so far i havent listened to many (anyone also have slower songs or ballads please rec) love mingyu though hes a sweet heart one of jungkooks best friends. (not a hybe group but theres also astro where one of jungkooks other best friends are in his name is eunwoo hes also a actor) le sserafim i love these girls their music is so fresh to me and theyre so sweet. their songs smart, easy, antifragile all amazing newjeans (i know i know im sorry armys but regardless of the drama i still love new jeans music cant help it dont care for the members of their label but their music is great i love ditto, super shy, omg etc) i havent checked out the newerr groups like boynextdoor, illet, etc enhypen i dont like them as much as txt but they have some great songs like drunk dazed, bite me, given taken, bills etc i do not like yg or sm fandoms and some other fandoms like stays,atiny, tokkis etc are very annoying especially recently. but for the most part i really dont like blinks aka blackpink fandom. along with exo's fandom another group from sm and bigbangs fandom aka vips. so those are the only fandoms i personally do not like but i only take it out on the artists for some of big bang. everyone else i just ignore and listen to the songs i like. (fun not so fun fact the first kpop song i heard after gangnam style was overdose by exo and i really like that song but it didnt drew me into kpop bts did that for me so i can admit exo has good music but not enough for me to stan the same for all these other groups i mentioned only bts had the ability to make me stan and care for the group and tune into every release and non music contents etc) hope this helps try to not let the fandoms dictate what you dont react to. just take the recommendations and try to keep up with everyone you like it would be heartbreaking if you drop bts later cause many have. but most army wont care about you reacting to others as song you dont make comparisons to bts and dont drop bts. armys will mostly only tune in for bts/ members reactions. hopefully after this armys who dont like blackpink/blinks will stick to bts videos only :) sorry for the essay lol

Agree. I LOVE BTS. No question there’s nobody at their level, they did what nobody else has done. Yes there’s groups before them but BTS has done far more than their predecessors. And other newer groups are benefiting now from what they have done. They paved a whole new way. But it doesn’t mean I don’t listen to anyone else. Enjoying other music doesn’t diminish anything.

However, my journey took me through Black Pink, EXO, Red Velvet, Big Bang,and lots of other KPOP groups. Once I realized they were not what I was looking for it solidified my connection to BTS. I can still enjoy other music but my heart bleeds purple. Remember that the boys teach us to be respectful and let others walk their path and follow their dreams.

BTS Contribution is over 80% all the rest including BP is in the less than 20 show are they bigger. Jimin is the only Korean to ever chart No1 on the US Billboards, he did that. Before, I also listened only to Blackpink and they went to 1 or 2 years not releasing a song so i tried to listened to other groups and I liked it
This song was released when everyone was speculating about YG (their label) going bankrupt because their ex-CEO and some idols were under investigation for the "burning sun" scandal (gambling, group chat where they exchange sex videos of girls unknowing to being filmed, and so on..). This song saved the label. The lines "how you like that" refer to the media who were constantly attacking the label while Blackpink came back stronger than ever. "Look at you, look at me" refers to the ones criticizing YG for the scandals and hoping to the failure of YG Entertainment, while the girl's popularity was increasing overseas.

The same here. I had never listened to k-pop. Then I found Stray Kids by chance and I'm now a baby Stay. Now I have found Blackpink and I'm a baby Blink. I haven't heard BTS yet or other k-pop groups but will explore their songs. I don't understand the toxic attitudes of some fans where they bash all the other k-pop groups. One can like more than one group.
I’m excited for you to discover new groups in K-Pop. BTS will always be my #1 favorite but there so many other groups that are so good too. I like a lot of their music, they are really good at catchy bangers and it's fun!
They do not have the substance, broad range of style or writing talent that BTS has, but on a more superficial level they are great at what they do and make enjoyable music.

Let’s be honest, a lot of times the real hate starts with a stupid comment.

Army sometime are too protective becouse of all the masive hate towars our boys, from other fandoms, like blink, exo fans and stays, but there are a few that take it to far.

Please so not belittle those who just prefer BTS...if all ARMY kept stanning other groups just as much...I don't think Army or BTS will be this big. They were extremely loyal to one group, pushed them to radio stations, buy their albums, requests Target to carry their albums in the shelves...so sorry if they only stan BTS. Now that you're exploring different K-Pop groups, it might be a good idea to research the K-Pop Industry and the history of K-Pop and learn more about the background and different generations of K-Pop in order to get a better perspective of the Industry as a whole. That's what I had to do.
BTS and Black Pink are considered 3rd Generation K-Pop artists.
The current wave of K-Pop artists are considered "4th Gen".
Plus, having more information on the former "Big 3" K-Pop Entertainment Companies: YG, SM, & JYP will make things easier to understand, too!!

No one has the story BTS does, but I have a thought people will probably disagree with.
I have thought, in some ways, Dreamcatcher is similar to BTS. They are from a small company. They only recently got their first win. They tell stories within their eras. They do more difficult dances than other girl groups.
More than any other girl group, I see Dreamcatcher as having a similar something.

dont mind any negative comments youll find who you like by trying different groups. if you only like vibes and beats more than substance then youll like lots of kpop. but substance is hard to come by bts has the substance along with the vibes and beats.
most of kpop dont write their own music and armys reactions in the comments is because remember the hardships video you did? those fandoms are the fans of other groups who hate bts. so thats why theyre upset since now your comments will be filled with people who hate army and bts. but its your channel and if you wanna listen to more you should but dont expect the same substance out of most kpop groups. it depends what kind of substance actually if you like bad bitch songs from artists like nicki or megan or cardi you may like blackpink. however nicki, megan and cardi have more substance in their discography's while blackpink is basically only bad bitch songs which is fine is ppl like that. theyre catchy and get stuck in my head sometimes.
if you like conscious and lyrical rap bts is the group thatll give you that plus so much more.
kpop isnt a genre but there is a set formula to most groups and most have a niche they stick to but some others branch out and try new things bts is leading in that area and hybe groups are following in that path but other labels have more of a set niche.
black pink is from YG ent and their groups are heavy in edm/electronic sounds like in this song. one song i really like from YG is jikjin by treasure but what throws me off is the bridges in YG artists songs i dont like the over the top endings.
SM is another label that is very vocal heavy youll find from what ive heard r&b, ballads and slower paced vibes. i really like taemin's guilty and advice hes also in the group shinee.
i dont stan aka im not a huge fan of any of these artists i dislike most of their music but i give it all equal chance. i dont defend the artists unless theyre faced with racism,sexism etc the isms. but for the most part if i like a song ill listen to it regardless of who the artist is as long theyre not a horrible human (example Seungri from big bang is a horrible person so i do not listen to anything he was involved in) but i do enjoy taeyang sometimes especially his collab with jimin. taeyang was in the same group big bang but i only listen to some of his solo music not the group.
as for jyp twice is really good, many also like stray kids. my favorite from jyp though is xdinary hereos theyre more of a rock group than kpop. i like gods menu by stray kids but i have to be in a certain mood to listen to them cause a lot is going on productionwise (if you have any ballads stays please rec)
twice i dont stan but i know more about them than other groups i know most of the members names and have checked out some members solo work and like a lot of twices songs especially from i cant stop me to present eras their more cutesy bubblegum songs arent as appealing to me but some are very catchy like feel special or what is love or cheer up.
im only naming groups i know btw.
then theres groups like ateez, g-idle, kard, the rose, mamamoo etc all from smaller labels not part of the big 3 all very unique groups i like ateez wave and another song i hear on tiktok but dont know the name, g-idle is very unique i dont listen to them often but their songs are really good my favorite is oh my god and the new song wife (or newer at this point) i LOVE kard, the rose and mamamoo again dont stan them but like a lot of their songs.
kard is a coed group they have a lot of latin influenced songs as well as island influence. the rose is another rock group love their songs especially come back to me. and mamamoo theyre like the best female vocalists in my opinion in kpop. their music is so great even their solo music i have listened to all the members solo music i think i know about them the most outside of bts.
then theres hybe groups aka groups that are under labels under hybe. hybe was created by bighit aka bts label.
txt is under the same label as bts theyre a very diverse group too doing many genres i love their rock genre songs most but their pop and other genre songs are really good too. seventeen i only like 2 songs so far i havent listened to many (anyone also have slower songs or ballads please rec) love mingyu though hes a sweet heart one of jungkooks best friends.
(not a hybe group but theres also astro where one of jungkooks other best friends are in his name is eunwoo hes also a actor)
le sserafim i love these girls their music is so fresh to me and theyre so sweet. their songs smart, easy, antifragile all amazing
newjeans (i know i know im sorry armys but regardless of the drama i still love new jeans music cant help it dont care for the members of their label but their music is great i love ditto, super shy, omg etc)
i havent checked out the newerr groups like boynextdoor, illet, etc
enhypen i dont like them as much as txt but they have some great songs like drunk dazed, bite me, given taken, bills etc
i do not like yg or sm fandoms and some other fandoms like stays,atiny, tokkis etc are very annoying especially recently. but for the most part i really dont like blinks aka blackpink fandom. along with exo's fandom another group from sm and bigbangs fandom aka vips. so those are the only fandoms i personally do not like but i only take it out on the artists for some of big bang. everyone else i just ignore and listen to the songs i like. (fun not so fun fact the first kpop song i heard after gangnam style was overdose by exo and i really like that song but it didnt drew me into kpop bts did that for me so i can admit exo has good music but not enough for me to stan the same for all these other groups i mentioned only bts had the ability to make me stan and care for the group and tune into every release and non music contents etc)
hope this helps try to not let the fandoms dictate what you dont react to. just take the recommendations and try to keep up with everyone you like it would be heartbreaking if you drop bts later cause many have. but most army wont care about you reacting to others as song you dont make comparisons to bts and dont drop bts. armys will mostly only tune in for bts/ members reactions. hopefully after this armys who dont like blackpink/blinks will stick to bts videos only :) sorry for the essay lol

while bts has 3 english songs that were still made with substance because of the PURPOSE of its creation which was to cheer people up during the already depressing pandemic. also the same year they released butter they also released songs with substance literally the same year so your "point" is laughable. the substance of butter was to cheer people up while blackpinks default is im a bad bitch constantly reminding us as if we forgot the first 10 times. and still i love as if its your last but again no substance. substance contains HAN. blackpinks music does not have HAN at all. so not sure what you thought substance was but its not just a slow singy non edm song it actually has to be deep lyrically and visually. i think 1 single seen in DDU-DU DDU-DU can be described as han and its when jisoo trips and the phones turn to gvns that was actually deep and profound but the song doesnt have much substance still. music is about a message and evoking emotions not just party and confidence.
