It was exactly a year ago that I went to Paris following your recommendations and videos and had an absolute blast! Back then your channel was much smaller with fewer views but I knew one day it will become a number one source for visiting Paris due to your authenticity, dedication and keeping it simple and to the point. I am thrilled to see how many more people have discovered Paris through your videos. This video right here makes me want to plan another visit to Paris because I can wholeheartedly say, one time is not enough.

This video has me SO hungry for French food!! For my birthday we went to a French restaurant here in Ocala, FL. The chef/owner is French. The fois Gras and cassoulet were great……BUT it’s nothing like the food I’ve had in France. Had coq au vin in a little inn in the Auvergne region and had raclette with the family I was staying with. Just WOW. We’re planning our trip. I’m done waiting! Keep up the awesome videos! They’re inspiring!❤

My favourite has to be the Petit Salé (lentils and pork). I make it at home using the lentilles DuPuy and the simplicity and lightness is what I like about it. It is quite low in fat yet very flavourful. You can eat a lot of it without feeling that you went overboard, because lentils are so nutritionally sensible.

What I prefer is a nice shank/hack of pork with winter veggies (gabbage, turnip, potatoes, carrots, swede/rutabaga. But I have to agree that lentilles vertes du Puy are delicious, indeed

Aside from eating out, my favorite thing to do especially in Paris ( or any city in France) is to visit local charcuterie traiteur(+ fromagerie, pâtisserie, boulangerie viennoiserie, caviste ) to curate your own meal. One of my favorite is Au Sanglier Le Marais

Anyone visiting London can try Choucroute at Brasserie Zedel, Piccadilly Circus. The Plat du Jour changes daily but the Chou is always available. It really is a wonderful Art Deco restaurant, which, for London is not too expensive. 👍

Very fortunate that my French GF's family showed me all of these wonderful things. The cassoulet is amazing. You can get it litteraly in cans in the supermarket and they are nearly as nice as when cooked at home. I would add blood pudding to this list. Small Little black sausage like black pudding. All our British chefs are inspired by French cooks.
Racklet is amazing. Rediculously generous amounts of cheese. When I eat it could not help thinking how much they would charge for it back in the UK. Think it would be rediculous expensive here.

Great recommendations as always and you can always ad a thousand more…That being said, as a local, I would strongly recommend “À la Biche au Bois” in the Bastille/Gare du Lyon area for coq au vin in particular and game meat dishes winter stile in general. For the cassoulet, I think one of the finest are at “Auberge Pyrénées Cévennes” in Republique area where you get massive portion plus more if you want. You enter walking but leave rolling…

This video must have popped up bc I have been talking about taking a trip next month. We are going abroad to visit my daughter on gap year, and then my 2 oldest go back to school, my husband back to work, and my youngest is a senior and still has another week vacation, so I suggested we go hang in Paris instead of coming straight home. Sounds great, right (certainly did to her, of course!)? Wrong... I had a hip replacement last year and then foot and ankle reconstruction surgery a few months back--and it's a 10-12 month recovery (my back is next. Long story). Anyways... as I thought about it, having lived there, January in Paris can get pretty miserable! And at best, it's cold! BUT... I did google "visiting Paris with mobility issues", and found DOZENS of websites!! For all sorts of disabilities and all sorts of trips and vacations, with or without a travel agent or guide, etc., etc.! I am sure you get the picture! So, my point was to let you know that whatever your issues may be--or your age--the world is still y(our) oyster!! You may know all this already, but as I am just 50, it is all very new (and hopefully soon to be old!) to me! But check it out online, especially as things in Europe can be quite old and even stairs can be an unexpected challenge (just the Métro!), and it is always best to be prepared! And of course, always remember to request a wheelchair assist when booking your flight! Always a HUGE help!! Bon voyage, et santé!

Bon jour, Les Frenchies. In preparation for our trip to Paris in three days, I've marked up my copy of your excellent Paris Guide and rewatched many of your videos. I'm hoping you can answer a couple questions not covered. 1. We would like to eat outside whenever possible to minimize exposure to all the winter illnesses going around. Your guide doesn't break down restaurants with outdoor dining, so perhaps you could make a few recommendations? Le Bonaparte is one, but perhaps you could site others from your lists. 2. Is it impolite to share one's plate between two people? For example, the plate shown above from Terminus Nord with the sausage and kraut looks large enough for two.
Thank you!! We'll have your Paris Guide with us, and can't wait! Ann

I'm sorry to miss you on Thanksgiving evening at Rosie's. BUT, per your previous recommendations, I went to Seulement Sea, Carton and A. LaCroix and loved them all! One week was not enough to eat all I wanted to!
