Thanks for this video. I got the wired version a few days ago and have been thinking about ways to configure the keys. I really like the way you are approaching this and I plan to customize my board similarly.
hi Adib, really nice and smooth delivery, love the video. So what kind of switches you got there? Also the bluetooth connectivity issues that were there with this PRo version are now gone? How about a typing sound test for the one you got delivered and the one you had before?
Hey man! thank you! So i got the brown switches, they sound pretty good, might be a bit loud for youtube videos. The bluetooth issue is completely gone! their latest firmware update solved it, also the trick is to leave the keyboard ON and let it sleep on its own. I think both keyboards sound the same tbh, my previous video is ASMR and you can hear the sound of the keyboard in it
Nice rundown of your setup. I’ve been using the Advantage 360 since it originally released, replacing a 10yo Advantage Pro. Did you experience BT issues with this board? I’m still running a v1.0-based firmware. They completely rewrote the layout files, so I’d need to rebuild my key maps from scratch if I upgrade. It’s going to a hassle that I have yet to find the time to do.
Is there any possibilities to ordering it to europe? Im more likely getting the heavy keyboard like the kinesis or the nuphy halo instead of nuphy air, same here Im more into the kinesis than the glove80.
According to some sources this keyboard can last up to 3 months without the backlight. What is your experience? I'm currently using logitech g915 tlk and it easily can work over 6 months on a fully charged battery without leds on and it's really heavily used as I'm a software dev.
honestly, most of the time i just keep it plugged in, i don't want to rely on Bluetooth. in terms of comfort, this is the best you can find, i highly recommend it for devs!
Does this keyboard also has alt on left and alt gr on right? It hard to me to get used to two different alt. Also do you use windows key on this keyboard or replace it with something different?
Did you try something like lily58? I mean a horizontal one, the problem I had with kinesis is my thumb started to ache when using and I'm thinking about something that does not use thumb that heavily
I have not tried lily58, what I really like about the kinesis is the curvature, even more than the thumb cluster. you can always remap key to use less thumbs if you want
I legit started research this keyboard 2 days ago. Do you know if there is any way to disable the LED indicators? Apparently when you remap even a single key, a LED indicator will show and I think that would be really distracting to have on constantly, especially when coding at night time.
By LED, do you mean the backlights? because we can disable them completely. Also, I usually just turn it off and on when I configure it, just to "reset" it.
@@adibhanna No, sure LEDs are what provide backlighting as well; however, an LED indicator is different. An LED indicator is typically just 1 physical LED that is used to tell the user that something is toggled on. Usually for things like Caps Lock or in this case, layers and remaps. I've heard that when you remap the kinesis, an LED indicator (above your thumb cluster) will be permanently toggled on in white (look down at your thumb cluster and if you see 1 white light then I suppose it might be true--at least by default)).
I see, so on my keyboard it only shows me what bluetooth profile im connected to, different color for different device. I don’t think you can turn those off!
@@adibhanna hmm, alright. Thanks for the reply. I might keep researching it then; if i find out if it's possible to dim/disable them I'll let you know haha

You can build firmware localy(it's way faster), just clone repo and run 'make', also no need to upload right side firmware, left side file is enough.

You can buy it in a lot of stores in Europe.

This keyboard is fully programmable. Put whatever key you want wherever you want.

"The One Keyboard To Rule Them All" - but I don't see Glove80? 😆
