    I have had mine since early feb and already back to full typing speed. Best keyboard, I have the wired version and very happy

    • @robboates2301
      @robboates2301 21 день назад

      I am so glad I have the wired version, but I did buy some longer C to C cables and right angle USB converters for the ports to reduce the space needed for the connector cable - the space on my tray is limited, and I don't want things pulling if it falls off or anything. The loss of the keyboard programming app with this wired version as my first programmable board would have really slowed my learning curve and cost me lost earnings. the body feels built for life, no question.

    I'm working on a Corne right now. Its cool because it solves the same problem of having to stretch to reach further away keys by just not having further away keys. All the keys are one key away from the home row and it has only 42.

I have a Corne keyboard with a tenting kit, an Ergotravel, Alice and reviung41, also if you want a concave keyboard like kinesis 360 but cheaper and full firmware programmable as well exists various Dactyl keyboards options with concave design.

    I have the Glove80 and the ZSA Voyager. I actually prefer the Voyager. I have choc pro red switches in the Glove80 and I am currently using choc sunset switches in my Voyager. I am looking forward to trying the ambient choc twighlight in the voyager whenever they show up in the mail.

    • @michaelfrieze
      @michaelfrieze 2 месяца назад

      There is just something about the layout and the position of the thumb keys on the Voyager that feels the best to my hands. Also, my thumbs don't hurt as much using the voyager.
      Don't get me wrong, I love the Glove80 and the key well truly is awesome. But sometimes, I feel some pain in my thumbs and Voyager surprisingly feels more comfortable to type on. I know my thumbs would hurt even worse on a Kinesis 360 since the thumb keys are even higher than the Glove80. I also prefer low profile choc switches so voyager and Glove80 make more sense for me. Moonlander and Kinesis use MX switches.
      I just got the Voyager about a month ago so maybe my opinion will change after using it for a while longer. But, so far it's been great and I really like the Oryx software. For Glove80, I just use nickcoutsos/keymap-editor.

    I've been using the Kinesis 360 Pro for about a year now, a little more.
    Honestly, the biggest gripe I have with it is:
    It is not easy to get good switches. Either you pay a 3rd party (US only, get lost the rest of the world) vendor to do it - or you DIY and void your warranty. And that there are no ways that I know of to get spare parts, at least not easily accessible.
    This in combination with the high price-point make it a much harder sell and that made me more than happy when I could buy one second hand saving a bit on the price.
    HOWEVER it's a phenomenal keyboard with all the bells and whistles I looked for in an ergo keyboard:
    ZMK fully programmable, ortholinear, thumb clusters, bluetooth, split, tilt, curved key well.
    4/5 yet so close to being a 5/5

  • @void8796

    I really want to try concave keyboard but eu options are so bad. Both kinesis and glove80 are US based so you need to spend super premium to get those on top of an already expensive, boutique product. There is also Dactyl Manuform but it's DIY, not something I want to deal with. Not to mention those DIY keyboard's are anything but cheap and Dactyl is actually pretty expensive to print.

    did not you say like a year ago that Moonlander was a great keyboard? I cannot imagine a person switching from Moonlander to Kinesis and still typing fast immediately. I takes weeks if not months to get used to this kind of stuff. I do not like how it looks, I do not like the concavity, I do want to have a keyboard with an RGB backlight and hotswapable switches. Kinesis simply does not offer it. It is ugly.
