Dion, I appreciate and know that I'm not ready for this yet but I am interested in what Darrin says beginning @24:14, that Glenn Dobson's (sp) emphasis on tongue to slide technique, vibration to air ratio to get to the core of the note. I read somewhere that I believe it was Clark Terry who once asked Miles why did he play with vibrato. And hus responded that it was because that was what everyone else does. And Mr. Terry responded that he will have enough to for shaking when he gets old.😊 And we know that Miles didn't use vibrato and he blows right into the core of his notes and they bloom.
