wow Allie you'v blossomed since the old arrow fletching days ☺☺ i used a pan scrubber for my decals ..with acetone .. they just went in a few rubs ( green scouring pads for dishes back of the sponge type ) great video Alliepoptastic . took me back a bit
Hi Allie. Two Thumbs Up!!! From the general rework of the arrows...your bibs...slurping da beer. Just missing your homemade cooking with some tenderloins on the grill and homemade pie. But the vid was awesome. You know... that stuff! Still hunting in Michigan with the recurve. See ya on the next one. BTW... Blabbering is good. Cha cha.
Another good video, Allie. I'm in the middle of a build of my whitetail arrows for next year. Adding some extra weight up front to improve penetration after I saw how much deflection my current arrow had from hitting a rib in the deer that I harvested last month. Arrow saw is the one piece of equipment I don't have in my home archery shop so I had local Mathews dealer cut them to length for me. I just figure I don't build enough arrows to warrant one. My arrow this year was 387 gr, my arrow next year will be 60 grains heavier with a new insert.
Wicked cool video!!! I've never seen this done before! Very AWESOME! Wow, I'd love to know what you're using to record this video, it's so crystal clear! 👍
Hey I actually removed the in certs and used my dremel and heat gun and shaped where the in cert goes and made it one peace is that ok to to do? It worked .
one more thing on the hinge release, while pulling back and moving your hand counter clockwise, only use the strength in your thumb, first and middle fingers. Keep your ring finger and pinky totally loose, that was you wont get an unexpected shot when youre not ready
Hey Allie, You had a pot of water boiling on the stove and I got hungry. Maybe next video we will have fresh back strapes from the big buck you'll have shot the day before. Good luck hunting for the 6 1/2 year old 14 pointer. Be careful and safe.
Another good way I’ve found to remove the graphic is to simply scrub it with a scouring pad like you see on your dish sponge. With a little soap, it scrubs right off.
Also when taking the acetone to the arrow graphics it's extremely faster if you lightly church the arrows into a drill and spin them while holding the acetone rag around the arrow. Got the idea from cleaning my sockets after working on an engine.
That's not always a good idea as it can separate the fiber of the carbon in a chuck if not careful. I know you said lightly but some people use crowbars to remove finish nails, lol.
Lol liked ur videos, especially I think after 2 or 3 beers and u were eyeballing ur broadhead from back to front..lol...were u seeing double?? close one eye ..lol..😉
@@OutdoorsAllie lol ur even cooler when ur having beers with us vlogging....and with them sound effects..lol I needed the laughs...thx Allie and always keep that pretty smile...😉👍🍻🍻 cheers..
Yeah I like to fletch my own arrows also but I think most true hunters do that. Even though I can't go archery this year I'm still going to help my friends out as much as I can.
Your Labrador is super cute, the best dog's ever. I'm surprised they haven't demonetized this video because of the paper plate. RUclips hates anything patriotic too. They're from Commifornia.
Arrow Allie !! Do you have good luck with those shrink tubing fletchings?? I was kind of worried about arrow flight and consistency of durability. I’m old school. Cuz I’m old ..
Is there any particular reason for removing the arrow graphics? I know that some arrows have a coating on them to help with penetration and to help pulling them out of targets, I'd be a bit worried that the acetone might stuff that coating up.
@@OutdoorsAllie did it change how they felt only reason I ask is because the graphics are just about worn of my shafts so I wouldn't mind cleaning them the same way but I don't want to take the shine of them, I've reflected them a couple of times and there definitely a lot duller around that area.
I find it hilarious when hunters have ANYTHING blue on their hunting bow or rifle because blue is the one color deer CAN see. Why take the chance on them spotting you before you shoot?
Ok, was liking the content until you said your draw length. Now I don't like you 🤣🤣. J/K of course, just a little jealous with my little 28". You could crush content in any genre, glad you choose to be an avid hunter and public land supporter!!

Acetone seems to work well!

Great job, it's nice to have an arrow you can rely on. I've always wanted to try that.
Cheers Allie ! Another Great Video , Love it !! This is the good stuff ;)

Great video! I recently subscribed and I love the video's that you guy's put up!
Thanks Robert!
I have been thinking about trying the full metal jacket arrows.
Nick seems to like them. Although they do bend quite easily.
Hey Nick She's a keeper

Hey Allie I have a question what is your favourite firearm to use for grouse?
Over Under 20 lately
@@OutdoorsAllie thank you so much!!!
Hello, have you tried 3D shoots?
Since I can not get a primer pen in my country, can I use rubbing alcohol or acetone?
To clean the vanes? Yes that should work.
Yeah I like to fletch my own arrows also but I think most true hunters do that. Even though I can't go archery this year I'm still going to help my friends out as much as I can.
Good friend!
@@OutdoorsAllieThanks for saying that & I like to think so
The camera quality seems much better.. you sure are easy on the eyes..
USE A Y SHAPED POTATO PEELER THE ONE WITH THE LONG HANDLE TO REMOVE THE FLETCHING ,WORKS GREAT
Good tip!
I use a potato peeler for removing fletchings. Light rubbing and takes no time
Thanks for the idea!
💛
You kind of remind me of Ann Hathaway.
Quistion: do you check your spine of each arrow?
I did not.
Have you ever thought about making a Merch website.
It's on the list of things to do!

That's abbie. She's the best!

The odd colored one is called the cock vein the 2 same colored are called the hen veins. And the best arrow length is 1inch less than draw length

Dogfishhead I believe.

MF deer hunting is hard AF. I'mma lose it if I don't get one this year. lol
LOL ya it is tough.

I'll check it out!

Velcro is my pet peeve!
I like this video. But as a guy I truly don't care what an arrow looks like. Only how affective it is
Worked well for me this year!
@@OutdoorsAllie awesome I'm lazy I would never have cleaned the graphic. But loved watching your videos keep them coming

In all honestly your arrow should go to the back side of your riser at full draw especially with a fixed head
