My dad enjoyed being his own boss. He ran his own wrecker business and auto repair/ body shop from his home base. He would place his ads in the local paper. The phone rang 24/7 Dad bought em, sold em as is or worked on them or parted them out. This was in the late sixties when he started his home grown business. He retired in 1990. He could be sitting eating his dinner and the phone would ring many times he could make hundreds of dollars profit before he finished his dessert. Those were the days.
Been waiting for these videos. Keep them coming please. Great stuff 👍
Thanks! Hopefully it can help some people out.
Great video! I would do more like this. You restoration videos are well done as well. Keep ‘‘em coming.
Thanks!
Man you are so helpful. I'm wanting to get in as a side gig but trying to learn as much as I can.
Cool video. Totally would like to see more of your finds.
Great and informative video! Also congrats on 9k subs, Lee! You earned it.
Thanks!
Well shoot... now you got me thinking... I could do this.. in my "free" time (I've got a couple collector cars I'm restoring) ... Great video.. you got a great deal on the pickup... I think I'd put a rearend, driveline in it ... paint it and sell it. I like doing bodywork and paint.. so this would be a great way to do that and make $$$. Thanks for the video.
Anybody can do this, it's not hard.
You did awesome job putting that motor in that car
Thanks!
I started out this summer hauling vehicle's and pulling cats and removing aluminum. Man you have a lot of car haulers, all I have is a car dolly. Thanks for all your information on more I have to learn.
I would say,$3000 on the trailblazer, with the hub assembly and cleaned up 👍, thanks for posting Lee!
Well. We live in Pennsylvania. And the most you can get for the chevy. Would be 1000. Since you live in a rust free zone.just keep up the great work and I will keep on watching
I watched your channel for awhile on my tv,logged in to my computer to say Hi and subscribe!
Welcome aboard!
Characteristic problem on my 04 Trailblazer was the hub assembly.
I buy end of life cars,i would not like cleaning cars like the guys selling retail, I love it
Great video that was a steal on that truck that moter will run great in the nomad!!!!
Thanks 👍
Great Video .... It's like you say, if you can buy something cheap, go there immediately, no matter, even if the street is on fire. Go there immediately!
exactly
Love the video and your commentary. New subscriber!
Thanks! Welcome aboard!
You did right by putting that truck engine and trans in your nomad. Great video
Thanks!
Dang it you got me I saw you had a new video up and I thought it was on the nomad. Have you ever said the word dollars before asking for a friend LOL
The gran Marq . An crown Vic . Front end works under f-100.
This is exactly what I want too start doing
If I was down there I'd buy that trailblazer. My wife scrapped mine once I moved out.
Great video. Gas prices 6cyl will sell fast today 4000 easy
This is exactly want I want too start doing..
Thank you for this in depth video
Glad it was helpful!
Being a four-wheel drive I would put a little bit into it as it would get good money for it 👍👍
When can come and get the camper
Keep the new truck you got and have it ready to swap out the nomad engine when it blows. Turbo charge the new truck engine and race it in the No Mad in the future. Just my two cents.
Can easier weld up a nice flat deck trailer from the frame off the camper,🤷
Did you put the X-TERA (originally for the Nomad) roof rack on your Jeep? Looks good (saw it in the trailer info footage)
no
I always cringe hearing the ridiculously low prices you people pay for those vehicles. A 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT 4.2L is on sale here for... U$s24,000!!! Yeah, not a typo, you've read it right, 24 grand!! Now I'm depressed...again! 😆
Anyways, nice gig you have going on there man with those vehicles. Looking forward to the next installment of the Nomad! Cheers!
Lots of cheap fixer uppers here.
That be an SS
I just bought a Buick Rainer the equivalent for 200 crushed it sadly
@@evanknight3629 Two different cultures and, of course, buying power. To crush a car here in my country the car must have been crushed first in an accident or something. If the car is straight but has mechanical issues, it'll either sit somewhere or be bought to fix it for as cheap as you can manage to fix it. I watched videos about cars being deemed "totalled" when they have a broken bumper or a ding in a door or fender and all I can do is laugh, 'cause there are no such things as "totalled" cars here, unless the car is ACTUALLY totalled!😆
Make some videos fixing the Trailblazer. If you're able to replace the hub and fix the gauge cluster I think $3500 is reasonable today for this vehicle with 4WD.
I probably will
Awesome 👍
I thought exactly like you 600 for the caravan i sell caravans and vehicles for spares in Portugal
Thanks for the video very inspiring
Glad you enjoyed it!
Where do you sell the cats?
Trailblazer eBay wheel hub 35.-60.
Use it for storeage
Hi!tell me how much money it would cost me to buy a car from you and that you would send it to me in Russia?
How much you want for the one you just got my 18 year old needs a work car he rides that bike to much
not sure yet.
I would fix the truck and the trail blazer
If I am not mistaken thats the 5.3 he used for the Nomad...this video took him several weeks to film...
Hello again from the north west of England 🏴, how much would you want for a pair of fourth generation Camaro taillights and a set of heater hoses for a 3800 v6? Inc shipping?
No hard feelings if you can’t ship them mate, just thought I’d ask you first before l shop for them 🙏🏻🏴❤️🇺🇸
I don't have, they sell fast
@@clunkersandclassics no worries then mate, glad to hear business is going well for you, you’re a good guy and deserve it 🙏🏻
Are the cars that you have are for sale
sorry, no
Cool 😎
4200 I thought was a inline 5 cylinder
Why are the cats worth so much?
expensive materials inside can be recycled..platinum, palladium, rhodium, etc
What do you with the remaining cars that you don’t make profit off
I make a big profit off all cars I buy. I part them out and then when price of scrap metal goes up, I crush them.
@@clunkersandclassics amazing I’m a woman but I want to learn this stuff thank you
I need that firebird how much
I need that c4 vette in my life 😻🙏🏻
not for sale, sorry
only in USA
All countries I'm from uk but live in Portugal I do the same
I think I would have passed on that camper, chicken coop or storage trailer after selling a few items to get your money back.
Decent set of steel wheels on the trailer though, paint em black and they’d look cool on something old school
Our house doesn’t have a garage. I’ve been looking for an old rv in similar conditions as yours that I can transform into a tool shed, small work shop, or even a small music studio but have not found them locally under a grand. I’d pay $500.00 for one like yours, no doubt. So I think you’ll make profit off it.
Good thing ur not in Oregon, cars only worth 30 a ton, thanks Cherry City Metals, in Salem Oregon.
Fix up that black Mustang!:)
I need the address so I can come now and get it
email me at clunkersandclassics@gmail.com not going to post it out in the open
Had change the playback speed dude just rambling
👍
Whats the best places too go for selling converters?
Fix the trailblazer and sell it.
I think I will
I do same thing some think them cars in are gold not running they one price you get some comes up it's 1000 or 1500
What in the hooked on phonics are you trying to say? Can someone Translate this mumbo jumbo? Hahahaha
Who do you sell the converters to? You're out in the toolies... do people come out to you to buy? I think with the trailer I would do what your doing and just flip it.
I have a guy that comes to me to buy converters. They're located in Dallas but has workers/contracters in this area that collect them up.
@@clunkersandclassicsmay I ask who is the guy? i am in the dallas area
@@MrJ183 He's out of business.
@@clunkersandclassics any advice on finding a local buyer? Does your scrapyard give fair prices or should I look for someone specialized?
@@MrJ183 Put an ad on marketplace that you're selling cats, you'll get buyers calling you.
Who do you contact to see who buys converters? I'm in Georgia
I have a local guy but you can google it and ship them off to buyers.
Camp trailer didn't look half bad,in reality it's full bad .. sweet
it's rough
Fix it wash it 2500 bye
Sorry for wasting your time it will probably be tomorrow for I can pick it up
I only got one thing to say Man do you know how to throw the bullshit out there
no BS here, I walk the walk and have a few acres of vehicles to prove it
So since your use to just paying $200 for EVERYTHING. When can I go pay you like you do $200 for that El Camino? I'll be right over with my trailer and your wonderful $200 to take that El Camino. Hell I'm feeling generous I'll give you $300 cause I'm good hearted and I'll be right over to pay you fro that El Camino.
Obviously you don't know how capitalism or supply and demand works. Might want to go back to school or take some civics classes.
Depends on the vehicle I tend to offer just under the price of a used engine on a pallet for nicer stuff but yeah lots of people just want rid and will sell for any decent offer over scrap value
