      @Tinylittledansonman Год назад +6

      Lol this is average Squad play not redditor imaginings. People dont actually talk that much. You can see it in his clip, mostly silence in both local and squad chat. Most talking takes place between the logi ride to the hab location. After that Squads more or less a TDM with extra steps to make spawns. Over the years people really demanded it stick to a single meta tourney style approach so its super limited and repetitive. Kind of oxymoronic for a "realistic" shooter to take that route.

      Hard disagree. I have about 40 hours right now in squad over the last couple weeks and squad chat is always active calling orders, plans, and objectives. The only time I’ve had squad chat quiet is when you join a new player server and your squad lead isn’t really a squad lead and most of your squad doesn’t have mics for some reason. Which to my experience even on new player servers that doesn’t happen all that often.
      If you keep finding squad leads who do not squad lead then don’t join new player servers.

      @@Looskidify Ive played around 2k hours and I mostly SL. People just dont talk much anymore. It makes sense the game is full single meta play at this point there isnt much to talk about. Sure some people RP theres more to it but there just isnt.

    The Arma series, and specifically Arma 3, are the most realistic military simulators, and with mods, even more. I usted to play a lot of Squad, Post Scriptum and Hell Let Loose, but since i joined an Arma 3 community/unit, those games became a different (more casual) flavor. But all of this realistic games really need you to invest some considerable time in them to really learn how to play it and enjoy them, i guess. In my case, i was looking for war realism and simulation, so i felt very immersed and i enjoyed it from the start.

    As someone who plays tarky often, you NEED a second monitor with the map pulled up. Until you memorize the map and learn the game more, then you need that to play. Otherwise good luck, because you're probably gonna not want to play. Going into woods with a AK74U was not a great choice either, as it wouldn't be ideal IRL either. You need something with a longer barrel for shots. Otherwise your holdovers are gonna be higher up. It was also funny seeing you sit out in the open on what would be considered the high traffic areas 'hiding' lmao. You also want to build your hideout more (getting to do scav runs quicker) and also when going in as a PMC, getting a 'sherpa' (someone who's played, which you need to go to the discord for) to help guide you.
    The learning curve isn't as big as others, but it is a punishing game. PVE is nice because you can play at your own pace, but PVP, it needs to be the only game you play essentially. Otherwise if you never unlock the flea market (level 15), you're going to have a bad time.
    Overall PVE makes the game worth it. PVP is a huge turn off to newer players.

    So, just going off of the section you did for Star Citizen, I know it looks freaky as hell when the planet is zooming at you during Quantum, unless the bug is back, you won't crash into it. The other thing too, if you're near a planet like that, you can Quantum to specific locations on the planet which is much faster than surface flying. The other thing to keep in mind is that Star Citizen is in it's Alpha stage of development, and the studio is working on 2 games at once; Star Citizen and Squadron 42, which is going to be the single player prequel to Star Citizen.

      Eternal Alpha because 600 million ain't enough to beta bitches.
      They are now at the cost of 3 WoW in terms of development, upkeep, and advertising. I wonder what the over/under is for Star Citizen to hit a billion while still in alpha.

      @@vonhex3298 lets get realistic right now, the servers seem to be utterly expensive so that the ship purchases can barely keep it running if we believe the devs, how is this ever to finance through the dev stage?

    I was hoping to see Vigor on the list. Or Enlisted. Vigor is by far the more punishing of the two. Enlisted is definitely the more enjoyable one to play overall.

      Vigor? You mean, Like Vigor Chronicles : Whatever the fuck? Dude that is barely realistic whatsoever, I played it quite a bit I got no idea where you are pulling this realism from.

    Man your experience playing Tarkov reminds me of my first time trying it back in 2017. I had no idea what the fuck and I put it down until 2021 when I got the idea to check it out again and this time I went in armed with the wiki, the map, all the youtube guides I could find. It takes hundreds of hours to feel like you have your feet under you and then hundreds more to feel really confident. But you never stop getting smacked down. It's got thrills better than any other game I've ever played though and that's what keeps me playing despite all the issues

    Yeaaa thing about star citizen is thst having a friend to walk you through it is like mandatory 😂😂😂 it's how I learned to play the game. Like for example, on planets, they all have points you can "quantum jump" to so it doesn't take you 40 minutes to fly around to it once you get into it's atmosphere lol
