Nice one mate. Guy from work was catching a heap on the coast month or so back. Can almost hear the emotion in your voice explaining your reasons. Top bloke. 👍
Ripper mulloway mate ! Don’t know what all the who-ha is in the comments about you trying to release it - you gave it a chance to live , it Clearly wasn’t going to so you made good use of it - that’s part of fishing ! If you became a full time catch and kill fisho them I’m sure you would have people whining about you not releasing them - can’t win either way mate ! To hell with them ,you just keep on fishing , making videos and enjoying life ! Thanks for another fantastic video !
Picked up a beautiful feed on Saturday doing the same thing mate. Had an absolute blast just wanted to say thanks for sparking my love of this beautiful country again and getting out for missions.
Always love the landbased stuff as a fella without a boat haha, Ive never caught a mulloway but its on my radar now, always thought 20Lb wasnt strong enough but clearly i was wrong. Awesome!!
@@huntersfishingadventures5324 we still have to do that yellow belly fishing at Windermere Dam with my mate in bass boat, he has comps on in Sept & October We will aim for after that if your keen still
Kraken session mate and seen that jewfish come in was amazing reminds me of a couple of times I pulled them in like that. It's tough when they can't swim nack, but they get so tired on the surf with the stress of the waves best just to bring it home... you shouldn't feel bad mate you don't keep them much. Well done on the mulloway plan😊
Thankyou as usual 🤝 Looking back yes I agree I should of bonked it on the head as soon I landed it. Mulloway beach fishing at night there is no chance of swimming them. Which means be prepared for a big feed. See you on the next one 👍
Those big chunks of fresh bait have a huge attraction factor. They have a deadly live smell. Tailor heads are great, too. They resist pickers, and I like pickers. They are a sign of hungry , biting fish, and their activity attracts great fish. Great video mate. ❤ Congrats, you deserve it. Fish stock from the head and frame ???
Beautiful fish! Fresh bait! Personally I would have thrown the tailor on as live bait, especially so close to shore! Those mulloway would patrol that deep gutter! What was the weight of the fish? I reckon, 40 pounds.
Tailor is my favourite bait for Jew, your right live is always best. I was low on bait so went the chunk which done the damage. I didn't weigh it took it to work chopped up into 5 pieces for 5 families. We all enjoyed, good finish for her. My guess 15kg 30lb
@@huntersfishingadventures5324 you all the right things! The 1% centers . With your cooking try using a paper towel instead of salt water to clean fillet. Once the scales are gone, the water will be absorbed! I'm a solid plasterer, not a chef! But this is how they do it! The flour also seals the fish flesh as well as helping the batter to stick! There's many different ways, but give it a whirl! A beer batter cook up would be sweet!
Did you guys do the moon landing videos? I ask this after 30 rays sharks and bites off in a row and zero jewfish. This included 3 trips on a full moon and high tide after dark which were worse - zero bites from anything at all. That full moon claim is tosh as well!
You fishing the wrong moon bro. Full moon fish look up for silhouette of fish. New moon they follow there nose as there's no light. There's also a few other variables which comes with experience you need to strike out to succeed 👍
@@huntersfishingadventures5324 I 100% agree with you but for years on end the fishing magazines were pushing the full moon as the best time to fish. I simply don't fish at night now 2 days either side of the full moon.
@@terrystyles7740 full moon works well using live baits or lures. Some situation full moon may benifet but the old dead bait always aim for no moon or little moon. Night fishing is very lonely quiet sport can be 2hrs between bites not for everyone.
Instead of a pic just put it back, you're clearly aware that it can't be out of the water for that long. If you intend on killing it then do so, just don't make excuses.
@@smileyface-re7fx no excuse, big ones don't release well off the beach I always plan on taking it home I be surprised when a big one swims off freely. Just can't swim them safely at night and solo so prepare the neighbours for the feed coming 👍

Fish stock from the head and frame ???
100% agree gives the big ones time to move in. Just the frame turned into stock for a laksa was also delicious, my dog enjoyed the head 😂
@@huntersfishingadventures5324 great tucker for the dog. Oily goodness.
I've noticed your chooks come running too.

In my opinion the eating quality of large mulloway is very average. But good it didn't get wasted.
What’s that white rod you use?
It's a Saratoga mawler 3.3mtr 6-10kg not a bad rod for the price.
Do you need a 4x4 to fish on the beach?
No was a central coast beach. Unfortunately we have no legal beach driving spots.
Good old Hargraves
Did you freeze the slimies
@@klinno8719 I did I showed how to freeze them in previous video 👍
Yer mate those big Jew of the beach if you let them go 9 out 10 times they swim of and wash up the beach 50 metres down.
Agree just to hard to swim them at night without getting in danger. I would swim with it in daytime but nighttime 🦈😳
