Randall's solid state amps are pretty killer. I have an RH200SC that is a blast to play. Surprisingly versatile over a range of tones. The stereo chorus in it is fun for those 80s sounds too.

I couldn't recommend this series of amps for thrash metal enough. It does the thing.
I got a question about your RX120D. Will any 2 channel foot switch switch the effects over. I just bought the half stack and it seems to be on a weird setting and I can’t change it.
@@RyanFischer1990 it should. There is the channel switch button between the two channels, and the effects on/off button is right next to the effects level. There are LEDs on each channel and on the effects section. All of that to say if those buttons don't work or if the bulbs are broken and you can't see if the effects are on (which would totally cause that) then any two button foot switch should work. Also, the last resort option is turning the effects level all the way down and it'll effectively be off. That's just a thought if nothing else works

Needs a shoot out with the Rg100es
How do you think it would handle the super low tuning?
It's pretty good. This amp is ridiculously beefy, so it'd be best to run some sort of drive pedal to cut out the lows and keep it from getting muddy/lost in mix
listen... Im a solid state guy because im broke
does it clean up when the guitar volume is turned down?
Yes it does
What's the better value? The Boss katana 100 head or the Randall rx120?
I plan on getting a head soon.
It would sit on a Harley Benton 2x12 horizontal with v30's.
Can't say, honestly. Never played a Katana
@@belligerentamateur lol. My question was a bit presumptuous. Thanks anyway friend.
What did you end up getting man? I personally own this randall and wasn't a fan of the katana.
@@jesseparrish9198 I finally ordered a B-stock Randal rx120 head. Will arrive this week, I hope. Will let you know how it sounds. Gonna run into a Harley Benton 2x12 v30 cab. I've tried the Soldano mini and didn't like it. Got a Dsl20hr but it's too loud for where I live.
I hope this Randall lets me get some low volume metal sounds. If not I'll send the f'er back
I bought this exact amp a few years ago,I messed around with it for about 30 minute's and then I immediately took pictures of it and posted it *FOR SALE* on craigslist and market place and sold it the very next day 👋 *BYE BYE* unlike an ex girlfriend I don't miss a single god damned thing about that amp 🤘🤘
Yeah and Randall is selling RG80 amps for $640 and they aren't worth it. Randall has gone downhill and now loves to price gouge amps when for $899 you can find a used Mesa/Boogie Mark V 25.
@@Wheresthepepsibismol where can you find one of those that cheap
Can you review MARSHALL DSL20?
Cheers from Portugal 🍺🤘🇵🇹
It's coming!
Want.
I have this amp makes a good power amp for my helix ...I dont like it besides that tho
Is the range of this amp 110V and 250V ??
At my country can be found 110V or 220V units.
Those ain't interruptions. They're cameo appearances.
What’s up. What’s up again Kyle😂😂😂Love the amp and fact that it’s solid state and sounds like that…..but the trade is that it’s an ugly amp and it’s solid state.
Thrashing riffs \m/
Useable sound
I think thats my old randall cab? 😂
Are you from the Erie area?
@@belligerentamateur im in ohio. I feel like u rode with a guy and met me in ohio and got both my cabs? Been awhile ago. Could b completely wrong 🤷🏼♂️. Channels awesome though man. Keep it up!
You won’t get copy righted for playing a Pantera riff 😂
Is Randall still in business?
Ya
They were sold to some Canadian company
Sounds surprisingly good.👍🏻
I heard they went under without pretty much any announcement, but I couldn't find anything to back that up.
hEY iM JIMMY THE MUSIC MAD MAN AE YOU STILL SELLING THAT AMP AND IF SO ARE YA SELLING IT FOR $250.00??
Long gone, sorry dude.
I already see how this gonna go. People will think this is the best gem in the world under 500, when the hype goes down, everyone will try to sell these for almost a grand used, then everyone will start to hate them. Just like they did with the rg series. Posers ruining a perfectly good amp and jumping on a big idiotic bandwagon.
