What a great idea. I'm an old lady who is clueless about new music so mine would be probably at least half 80s and 90s and then a few from earlier decades. I'm pretty sure my most listened to song is the theme song for the 1958 movie The Blob. 🤣 I enjoyed hearing your picks in both music and books.
I had to check out that Blob song, it's very catchy! I almost exclusively listen to old music, I have enjoyed new music this year although some of it like The Cure and Nick Cave are old bands.
I love this idea, but I’m a train wreck when it comes to music. When anyone brings up music at work - I tell them they need to speak to someone else. Happy reading! 💛🎶
@@AaronReadABook I love that animated Robin Hood. Jason's mom gave it to me on DVD for a really difficult Christmas, and I watched it shortly after opening it. Jason sometimes goes around saying, "A-ha, A-ha, Taxes!" And I regularly burst out into "Robin Hood and LIttle John were walking through the forest ..." LOL!
I love this. My whole list would be 100% cheese. I actually might do this although I had a month of no vids then this suddenly then there’s loads. My haphazard way 😅I LOVE the Grapes of Wrath so will take note of that thank you. Love your Folio books. Great to hear about your fave music (can’t go wrong with a song originally sung by a rooster😉) and the books you mentioned too.
I think it's best not to worry about how cheesy your list is 😆You could pair them with deadly serious books to distract people. I would be impressed if you can top a cartoon rooster song.
Great video! I tried thinking about what books I would match up with my top songs of the year and have no clue how I would match them up.... my music taste appears to have nothing to do with my reading taste. Also got a bunch of great inspiration for new books in this video - great recommendations!
@@RicksReads thanks for mentioning your friend's video, that's how I saw it to steal the idea 😂 I think I made some pretty sketchy connections to the songs
This is a great idea! Nicely stolen. 😄 Too bad my music listening is completely offline, so I have no ‘wrapped’ at all. I could probably work out my most played artists though. 🤔 Ahh Mayonaise is a classic, I used to cover it badly in my teens. I’m glad Pumpkins were so good when you saw them - I saw them in 2000 and it was a supremely disappointing experience.
Did you go see Zwan when they played? That was the closest I'd been before, and I remember enjoying that. You could do an offline wrapped, and show off your records/CDs.

I am stealing great ideas this week. I mean my number 1 song is a disney song sung by a cartoon rooster, so I'm a bit of a train wreck too 🐓

@booksimnotreading Roger Miller wrote great songs for it

@@AaronReadABook I never saw Zwan, but I have seen David Pajo live (as Papa M), which was fantastic.
