- Cutscene montage of the final missions for Final Fantasy XI (Rhapsodies of Vana'diel) - Stay tuned after the credits for more of the cutscene! The vocals during the last part of the credits were done by the playerbase. We submitted recordings of us singing the tune and SquareEnix mixed them together into one grand finale.

After 14 years of playing XI, I'm extremely grateful to Squaresoft/SquareEnix for their dedication, diligence and support of one of the absolute best MMO's to-date. The years I've invested in XI have brought incredible feelings of discovery and amazing friendships that still last to this day.

Every now and then I seek out videos like this to remind me of the time I spent in Vana'diel. There has never been a game like this before or after. I doubt there will ever be its like again. People these days have no attention span and would never be able to commit to a game like this one. Those of us who played through the game from start to finish know what I'm talking about. Things are different these days since you can summon powerful companions to work through content at your own pace. Back in the day you summoned your linkshell or a small group of people for leveling and knocking out content. There was no such thing as "solo" in this game, with BST being the only exception, and even then there were missions/stories/quests that BST couldn't solo. Dying was a real pain because there were penalties.
Who remembers doing the OG version of COP before it was nerfed? I do! It was *SO* difficult. Almost every step of the way was a constant struggle to not wipe. But there's also never been a feeling of accomplishment when we finally got through stages like the Promyvion missions to unlock Al'Taieu (Sea). Talk about a bonding experience. Maybe one day I'll log back in for some nostalgia. Props to anyone still playing all this time later.

KnifeKat of Odin, came to Odin from Quetzalcoatl. . Was a long long 10+ Years. I'll always remember, the stories this had. And the finale of ROV. Was beautiful, and I'll never experience something like this ever again since I've been retired FFXI and there will never be another game like it.

@@teo7503no duh. The games only been out for 8 years, OBVIOUSLY endwalker wouldn't be the ending. Not even CLOSE.
It the end of that specific storyline, but I'm not sure how you could think it would be the final piece of content in the game, that's just ridiculous dude.

@@robsyx84 every mmo ever tbh. So what triggers the ending, I'm confused I didn't even know this game had a main quest line. It's literally the Morrowind of mmorpg games. They don't tell you shit.

9 months of my life I won't get back. I'm so sorry I ever played this game.

FFXI is a good game, nit for everyone like FFXIV isnt for everyone.
@@Jkapricorn Vegetarian gamer myself. Worst thing about FF11 was also it's strength. It forced players to meet and work together. Unfortunately, once you were in these large groups you had to stay committed to some very long missions and levelling. You couldn't just say "Sorry guys, I have to go to work, see ya." They would be like "You can't leave, you're out white mage! We'll all die!" And if you didn't commit your full time to the game, you would be kicked out of the link shells you were a part of. On occasion, someone would announce that they had to quit playing. FF11 was making their wife angry, or they were failing in college or whatever, and they would say goodbye and give away all of their stuff. They were leaving the artificial. I had my dark knight up to level 47. People would look at me and say "That is a fairly tough dude!" and would ask for my help. My white mage was level 42, so I was constantly being asked to join parties and to bring people back from the dead. This made me feel important and popular in an artificial reality. My computer actually ended up being stolen, hard to believe I know. And while I'm sure I could have rejoined somehow when I got a new one, I went through the withdrawal of it and quit playing. I've been done with purely online games ever since. Multiplayer in some games in acceptable, but no more online realms. I'm better off for it. Thank you.

Honestly not sure, would have to check. Work has been heavy last few years so not as much. Working on finishing mythics for my pld, and fresh brd and cor alt accounts, so I did get quite a bit in.
