I purchased teh4 Bose Series ll because of the dialogue feature. I no longer have to increase the volume to understand what is being said. I talked with Bose rep and they said the series ll was designed specifically for this feature. After using it a month, it is well worth the money!

You have the option of playing Atmos and spatial audio with the Beam Gen 2 over the internet or eArc. The Beam seems to do better with space around it for Atmos effect and side firing speakers. The Beam might sound different in person in the audio sweet spot with Atmos/Spatial audio after Trueplay tuning. The Beam does sound progressively better as you add rear surrounds and the Sonos sub. I had to switch my LG OLED TVs to "bitstream" or "Pass Through" for HDMI out to get sound processing to the soundbar for 5.1 or Atmos audio.

I had the bose and returned it for the Sonos beam 2. I'm glad I did.. once the sonos is set up and tuned the base is deeper, voice and highs much clearer. I think being In the cabinet is hurting the sonos. Both are great and for the price the Bose kicks ass but I like the sonos better.

in your video bose solo sounds better than the sonos beam gen 2, give more bass. I noticed 2 things you may try to compare them with your new tv again.(place the sound bar under your tv this time lol). First, you may need to run a trueplay on an ios device to adjust the sound reflection in your room. Second, you need to download an ture Dolby atmos clip to an USB disk for sound test. Cause RUclips only support to dolby digital 2.0, whatever you saw atmos on youtube only 2.0.

I got the Bose Solo Soundbar II for 111€, no brainer since the Sonos Beam is over 300€. I hope the sound will be good. 😅

Update: the sound is ok for this price. Not the most impressive but much better than in my samsung tv

The bass on the Bose sounded muddy, and unnatural. If you are used to listen solely to electronic music and action movies you might prefer the Bose but if you are used to listening to acoustic music in a natural setting or movies played on a high end system you will not like the Bose at all.
