That 60 Hz is really weak. I mean I know most new games wont even run over 60 Hz but after having a 144 Hz Legion Go and 120 Hz Ally 60 Hz is simply too slow...
Battery stats are at 2:49 and after threre's fan noise and thermals. Compared to 2023 model, we got around 15 min extra. But do keep in mind the drivers have improved over time so there may be some differences now.
I am thinking of buying this laptop for everyday use, i.e., home, work and outside, and the use of many different software (graphics, video editing, blender and programming). It attracts me because of its really small size. Is it good for such varied use? I don't understand how it is still so little known.
It is a great all round device. I would recommend the GPD G1 eGPU if you are doing a lot of rendering and video encoding. It will speed the process up a great deal more than the integrated GPU. But for light video editing etc its fine.
I use this for Graphic Design, Illustration and Blender. An external GPU is a must for Blender so I use an external RTX 3060 and am very happy. My only regret is not being able to purchase the 64g RAM. That is a must in working with the Adobe Suite and large files. I have had no issues with quality so far. The gaming is just fine for me and with some grips I 3D printed love the handheld part. The screen is just big enough for me.
Every single review on this device suggests that this machine can be used for work and if you are more interested in gaming should consider getting Win Mini but for some reason none of the reviews go into detail about the keyboard and show some typing/work footage.

This model has literally just came out so its the best time to buy. There's no details when the handhelds will have the next generation CPU. Maybe very late this year or most likely next year.
There are many games that are graphically demanding. We like to change between games to keep things fresh. While we would like to do more benchmarks, we have to test at 4K, 1080P and 720P across 5 different TDP for handhelds for every game, and that does not include eGPU benchmarks if the device supports it. That's several runs of benchmarks for each game which can be time consuming. Cyberpunk may return to the benchmarks in the future, or failing that we may occasionally include it on our gameplay part of the reviews to show the best graphics settings.
I like it, but it's just a waste to me. Anything around 9+ inches needs a dedicated GPU built in. That screen is heavily wasted. Win Mini makes more sense.
I would actually consider this as my next laptop replacement. I just worry about GPDs customer service and quality assurance.

I want this but waiting for a high refresh screen tho. 60Hz isn't good enough for me in 2024. Give me 1080p @ 120Hz and that would be fine.

You may be thinking of the Win Mini 2024 which doesn't have OcuLink. The Win MAX 2 2024 has one, it's between the HDMI and headphone port.

There are a lot of those typing videos check out the Win Max 2023 since it's the same model with higher specs.

Only this one, most keys are the same and the few that are swapped around are fairly easy to remember.
