That is awesome! I have no regrets about getting this plant, even though the prices for Thai Constellation have dropped here in Europe, and I ended up overpaying for it two years ago. I wish you patience as your plant settles into its new environment and reveals its true character and beauty!
@@1000and1planti was checking the local sellers here in Slovenia but I got a better deal on a more mature plant from a grower from Italy with great references so I decided to go for it 😊 You seem to be taking care of yours really well since it's got huge leaves!
Got my Monsti a couple of days ago! She's got 6 smaller leaves. I sat her next to my east facing window and add a grow light late afternoon. The pot size is ok and soil good quality so I won't repot it before spring. How often did you use the tea and baking soda mix? The leaves are huge! How long does it take for them to get to that size? Thank you 😊
@@LaSnob711 II’m so happy to hear you got your Monstera! 😊 I spray the underside of the leaves twice a month as a preventive measure against fungal diseases and brown spots. I either use chamomile tea or a mild baking soda solution. Give your Monstera about two months to adjust to your environment. As soon as you see a new leaf appear, you can count that the process of leaf size increase has begun! By February, she’ll definitely surprise you with growth. Wishing you lots of happy growth with your Monstera!
Excellent presentation. Loved all your tips. I love your calm dignity speech. I can’t stand hyper plant people therefore I cannot see their videos till the end. You are cool. New subscriber here! My Thai Con’s leaves are drying and the surface of the leaves are kind of greying . It has good light, humidity, good aroid soil and large enough pot. I fertilize very lightly once a week with inorganic fertilizer and i water adequately. Any thoughts as to what may be wrong. Thank you
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm really glad you enjoyed the presentation and found the tips helpful. I try to keep things calm and informative-so it's great to hear that it resonates with you! Welcome to the channel, and I'm excited to have you as a new subscriber! 😊
I love this but mine is still very much a baby lol. I got it with five little leaves on it. It has since dropped those leaves but still has five leaves that get bigger every day. It is getting moved this winter and getting a grow light.
If each new leaf of the Monstera is larger than the previous one, it's a good sign that the plant is happy. You are doing everything right. Additional lighting is very important for variegated plants. They can't be lacking in anything, as it immediately and irreversibly affects the quality of the leaves. Sometimes, they simply don't develop, leaving a gap on the stem.
Yes, but my grow light has a timer with only two options: 6 or 12 hours. After reading your comment, I went ahead and switched it to 12 hours. You can never give a Monstera too much light! 😅💡💰

@@1000and1plant one of mine has a 3, 9, 12 timer and the other one doesn’t have a timer. I usually just keep them set to 12 hours 🤷🏻♀️ I’m looking at getting a different kind of grow light for my monstera and white and pink princesses. They will all stay together this winter around a little humidifier too.
Brand PDGROW, This LED grow lamp bulb uses 36 high-quality Sam LM301B LEDs, provides powerful light output and even penetration of the canopy to achieve maximum higher yields, much better than conventional 150 W HPS breeding systems. Can replace the HPS 200 watts & the fake 300 watt blurple grow lamp well, but only consumes 36 watts.
I bought this Monstera with three leaves in January 2023. I think it was a top cutting from a fairly mature plant, so it's hard to say how old it was. But I've had this Monstera for one year and 10 months. I know this for sure because I have photos from right after I bought it and when the new leaf started growing. It currently has 13 leaves and is getting ready for its second winter.
Wow, awesome plants! 🤩🌱👍
❤ your MTB so much I ordered my own. 😊 I've got a large plant collection but this will be my first monstera.🎉 Can't wait for it to arrive!

8 hours of grow light in winter is recommended 👍🏼🪴😀
