    I'm Russian, and I notice once again that most of the useful information stored in English. I can only praise the author, it’s wonderful!

    Hello Dynamation, i’d like to see you build the smallest piston engine you can. My best is 3x3x1 2 piston engine. I used blueprint editing and it works on timers but it can even switch directions

    I really needed a tutorial like this, I really like the game but not knowing the mechanics makes me rack my brains. Thanks

    subscribing because i'm curious about piston engines and i want to learn about them and also because i'm imagining the chaos in my world if the greatest technician that ever lived meet the greatest mechanic that ever lived.

    got recommended a random video of yours; found out the 2nd most recent video is exactly what i need right now.

    in my build I needed this to go 90 degrees down and it was super confusing so I ended up building it separately and then welding it how I wanted and it ended up working just fine

    a little salem tech refrence in there

  • @-aid4084

    I like it's simplicity, though I want to do some experiments and test the max speed and torque it can handle, before trying to make my own and beat it. I'll update you if I find anything stronger, I look forward to experimenting. usually 90 degree pipe joints are pretty weak, since they just clip right through. but with that it's going to take enough force to make the bearings stretch.

    • @-aid4084
      @-aid4084 10 месяцев назад

      alright, so I spent like the whole time experimenting with testing gears and u-joints, I found out that this particular set up will fail at 2500 torque, and by that I mean the mechanism collapses in on itself. I built a slightly larger one(by a block each axis) so that I could get the missing bearing in place for the u-joint, and then it wouldn't rotate so I needed an extra four bearings on the center part that rotates, and that allowed it to pull all the way to 6000, where it once again failed. I then just tried using 8 tooth gears, and they produced the most amount of load, probably close to ten times as much. that surprised me, I guess the bearings are the limitation here. I also tried adding four bearings to the center part of your one and it made it worse, so I wonder if there's a way to get mine to rotate without those center bearings, because I do think they were sapping away some torque. I'm gonna go to bed now.

    You can't run this very fast without it flipping the entire creation all over the place.

    • @_Dynamation_
      @_Dynamation_  7 месяцев назад

      you need to balance the joint to go fast, i have it on one of my cars and i can go as fast as the engine allows me

      @_Dynamation_ yeah i already tried that. Didn't work.

    Isn't this gonna deteriorate in survival? In my perspective, survival is a mix of simple 8 and advanced physics and this 90 u-joint adds more joints, it's definitely going to cause quite some trouble, lol

    • @_Dynamation_
      @_Dynamation_  10 месяцев назад

      well yes, but i really hated that the pipes would phase through each other so i came up with the is amalgamation lol. it’s not the best, but it could be better

    "no glitches involved" . . .
    uses a glitch to allow parts to pass through each other.

    • @_Dynamation_
      @_Dynamation_  Месяц назад +1

      pistons or suspension pieces are coded to have no collisions, so parts not colliding with then and phasing through them is not a glitch
