Both games have + and -. I remember WD screwed up headlights, not shining on roads on some surfaces, or areas 9:43, all those flashing objects, seems less fancy car detail, definitely lower distance scaling on vehicles and vehicle interior lighting, lightning effects are mehhh too.. But WD night artificial lighting support is much better made then gta5 8:06, can't just crank it up in gta5, placement is just not good enough compare to WD. Gta5 street lighting starts at 7pm on lamps emissive sources, but it takes full game hour for light to reach ground, lol. So much for light speed. I would say gta5 would win in many counts, but WD has some step ups too, atmosphere is fantastic, like them both for sure.
The water really looks good on both games, the water in watch dogs fits the very populated city, while the water in GTA V fits with it's own environment as well.

Thanks for this. GTA V has more detail. Like the roads, WD's roads are often very uniform unless you adjust the camera which isn't bad but when compared to V's various weathered and cracked roads/sidewalks it feels more alive. Both are great at what they're trying to recreate though neither are without flaws and "whats better" depends on what atmosphere one likes most. Still I can only enjoy WD with SweetFx/various graphic mods at night and with the always raining mod but V on vanilla is great (though I wish I could use Reshade). V's rainy nights are just as enjoyable too, especially the lightning in the countryside.

Crystallking H actually, the cars do flip but the "weight" of the cars in watchdogs are much more realistics compared to the toys cars from GTA V. I'm not saying gta v has bad cars because it doesn't, they've got good cars but they just handle to light. The cars in watchdogs do flip over but barely thats because you don't see a car flipping over in real life everyday either.

I think they're on par in term on visuals, maybe Watchdogs is little more realistic, but it seems empty as hell. GTA 5 has a lot more going on at the same time, it feels like a real city. When it comes to dynamism no games can touch GTA 5, or Rockstar Games in general, even Liberty City in GTA 4 seems more real than Watch dogs.
Quite the opposite. World of watch dogs feels incredibly alive, especially with the profiler which gives you basic info on every citizen. And dont forget about the random side missions (like having to stop a crime, take out a gang hideout, and stopping a criminal convoy). GTAs world feels really bland IMO
Opposite? I have played both and Watchdogs felt so empty to me. The NPCs were decent but not a lot of variety compared to GTA V. In GTA V you go to different areas you see different people, hear different accents, behaviors, conversations, cars etc... GTA has a lot more details than Watch Dogs. And the random missions are more fun too (Stop crime, help strangers, help celebrities, smoke weed, rescue a bride lol, help Micheal' son and daugter, go see a shrink... ) so many random things you can do.

To me, the only good thing about Watch_Dogs is the hacking. However, I do think the dynamic lighting/rain/water of WD is better than GTA but GTA is an overall prettier game because of Rockstar's attention to detail. Of course, I haven't liked Ubisoft since Assassin's Creed 3.

Driving in watch dogs is utter shit, it feels like you're skating on ice with the car, the graphics delivered are not what were shown in the e3 gameplay as they have a hugeeee downgrade, the game is boring, unrealistic, glitchy, buggy, lacking in story, and overall has worse graphics than Gta V, the population density is quite shit, and the vehicle density is too, frankly i regret buying this game for PC since it's poorly optimized and is full of flaws. Gta has a better ambient, when you play you feel like you are inside the game, not some boring, full of clichès, thing. Nope. No Global Illumination,No volumetric Lighting,GTA 5 uses SSAO Ambient Occlusion that was made in 2007, while Watch Dogs usrs HBAO. GTA 5 has lower texture resolution, lower shadow resolution, no tessellation , no displacement mapping, at least 4 yimes less polygons,and shitty draw distance. If GTA 5's graphics are beautiful,then AC Unity is real life,but it's not. And GTA 5's graphics are shit. Seriously,even AC Black Flag is technologically much more advanced.
I don't see it. Most of the textures are just flat, the only textures that aren't flat don't use tessellation, AND in FPS mode you can clearly see polygons on all models.

I've played Watch Dogs and GTA 5, and in my opinion Watch Dogs is such a shit game. It's just soooo boring, GTA 5 is just superior in every way. Not only graphics but even the story is better than Watch Dogs. I never finished Watch Dogs and I think I never will.

In 4K especially I think GTA 5 is the better looking game. Also there's something about the art style and feel of Watch Dogs that makes it feel like a bootleg GTA.
Just off the texture of the street GTA V has my vote. I see what people are talking about in regards to realism. the windshield breaking...yea its more physics accurate in watch dogs then in GTA V. Ths cloth physics in Watch Dogs is impressive. FOV and just looking at the city GTA V imo. The city at nite looks better to me in GTA V but thats more so due to the locale settings of both games. GTA V is suppose to be more Miami and Watch Dogs more Chicago no? If so makes sense GTA V at nite would seem to pop more then Watch Dogs. Now at about 8:40 in the vid u see the obvious diff betwen tesselation of the two games. GTA V wins. The leaves on the street in Watch Dogs just don't look like the are separate from the side walk or streets. Look flat and melded together.
GTA V is the clear winner but have also more resources. I guess they did a good job on Wach Dogs but it's really difficult to compare both. GTA V is in another league.

The smoke coming from them are 2D images, it's like the OVerdose Effect mod for GTA San Andreas.

I think they're on par in term on visuals, maybe Watchdogs is little more realistic, but it seems empty as hell. GTA 5 has a lot more going on at the same time, it feels like a real city. When it comes to dynamism no games can touch GTA 5, or Rockstar Games in general, even Liberty City in GTA 4 seems more real than Watch dogs.
Quite the opposite. World of watch dogs feels incredibly alive, especially with the profiler which gives you basic info on every citizen. And dont forget about the random side missions (like having to stop a crime, take out a gang hideout, and stopping a criminal convoy). GTAs world feels really bland IMO
Opposite? I have played both and Watchdogs felt so empty to me. The NPCs were decent but not a lot of variety compared to GTA V. In GTA V you go to different areas you see different people, hear different accents, behaviors, conversations, cars etc... GTA has a lot more details than Watch Dogs. And the random missions are more fun too (Stop crime, help strangers, help celebrities, smoke weed, rescue a bride lol, help Micheal' son and daugter, go see a shrink... ) so many random things you can do.

To me, the only good thing about Watch_Dogs is the hacking.
However, I do think the dynamic lighting/rain/water of WD is better than GTA but GTA is an overall prettier game because of Rockstar's attention to detail.
Of course, I haven't liked Ubisoft since Assassin's Creed 3.

Driving in watch dogs is utter shit, it feels like you're skating on ice with the car, the graphics delivered are not what were shown in the e3 gameplay as they have a hugeeee downgrade, the game is boring, unrealistic, glitchy, buggy, lacking in story, and overall has worse graphics than Gta V, the population density is quite shit, and the vehicle density is too, frankly i regret buying this game for PC since it's poorly optimized and is full of flaws. Gta has a better ambient, when you play you feel like you are inside the game, not some boring, full of clichès, thing. Im sorry it had to be said, this is my opinion and if you dislike it or are not ok with it that's up to you.

No Global Illumination,No volumetric Lighting,GTA 5 uses SSAO Ambient Occlusion that was made in 2007, while Watch Dogs usrs HBAO. GTA 5 has lower texture resolution, lower shadow resolution, no tessellation , no displacement mapping, at least 4 yimes less polygons,and shitty draw distance.

I don't see it. Most of the textures are just flat, the only textures that aren't flat don't use tessellation, AND in FPS mode you can clearly see polygons on all models.

I've played Watch Dogs and GTA 5, and in my opinion Watch Dogs is such a shit game. It's just soooo boring, GTA 5 is just superior in every way. Not only graphics but even the story is better than Watch Dogs. I never finished Watch Dogs and I think I never will.

Just off the texture of the street GTA V has my vote. I see what people are talking about in regards to realism. the windshield breaking...yea its more physics accurate in watch dogs then in GTA V. Ths cloth physics in Watch Dogs is impressive. FOV and just looking at the city GTA V imo. The city at nite looks better to me in GTA V but thats more so due to the locale settings of both games. GTA V is suppose to be more Miami and Watch Dogs more Chicago no? If so makes sense GTA V at nite would seem to pop more then Watch Dogs. Now at about 8:40 in the vid u see the obvious diff betwen tesselation of the two games. GTA V wins. The leaves on the street in Watch Dogs just don't look like the are separate from the side walk or streets. Look flat and melded together.
GTA V is the clear winner but have also more resources. I guess they did a good job on Wach Dogs but it's really difficult to compare both. GTA V is in another league.
