[LIVE] Shiny Roaming Entei after 3,143 SRs in FireRed

- My third and final FireRed/LeafGreen Roaming Legendary Beast shined rather quickly much like Raikou after “only” 3,134 soft resets. I actually had a feeling it would be a quick one as I went to double odds (16,000+) for Moltres in Platinum for my previous roamer.
To say that I own all three Roaming Shiny Beasts in 3rd Gen is absolutely surreal. I still can’t believe it fully even though I’ve finished editing the video as of writing this. It’s insane. Suicune really tested me going over double odds but I’m so glad I persisted with this project. This is my 7th shiny Roamer in total. I think next up will be Roaming Latias in HeartGold.
Entei in 3rd Gen didn’t really grab me at first but seeing it shiny on my DS screen like that was something I’ll never forget. I really, really like the colouring. It’s nice in 4th Gen but it’s not as nice as this one in my opinion. The added bonus of showing it in Colosseum was also really great too as it looks unique in the 3D models.
The only annoying thing about this video is I had to, unfortunately, use an R4 cart to take the Entei from LeafGreen (not shiny) to determine the location of the shiny in FireRed. My link cable stopped working a while back and I just never got around to replacing it. I back up my saves anyway for safety so there's absolutely no issue in doing this.

Congrats! You have to be one of the only people in history to get all three of these Shiny Legendary Beasts in Gen 3, 100% legitimately. I can't wait to see you get Latias in HeartGold, and whatever comes after that!

@@MrAvirox You either get another cartridge, or transfer it to another game and start a new file. One beast per save file
Best shiny hunter on RUclips! Only full odds grinding and I bet it’s very satisfying to be able to get each shiny the hard way.
wow. I found your channel when you posted Suicune in Fire Red after it was recommended. I cannot believe how much bigger your channel is now. It's so good to see people still playing these games. Sorry about the sped-up parts but I wanted to leave the video uncut and the Entei took 9 minutes to appear when on Route 16. Really can't believe I have all three roaming Beasts in 3rd Gen. Latias up next in HeartGold or maybe Crystal roamers!
Sadly my link cable stopped working, not sure why. It's pretty old. After backing up my save for safety (as I usually do), I had to transfer the Entei from LeafGreen to FireRed using a save editor to determine its location for the capture. I really hate doing that but it was either that or wait for a new link cable to arrive. The Pokémon doesn't register until you trade properly hence why I got the dex entry.

Amazing! This video just goes to show how long hunt set-ups can take. Farming the right ball, waiting for the shiny appear again without a repel, and actually catching the damn thing! Looking forward to Latias and then eventually Cresselia - that’s one I’d love to see!
Thanks Jack. Yeah the prep is annoying and time-consuming. Fortunately I had my Smeargle from my Suicune/Raikou hunt so it wasn't too bad. Luxury Balls are annoyingly limited to 1 per save in FR/LG so I had to clone it in Emerald a few times. Suicune was the worst, trading all those Dive Balls in, urgh. Cresselia will probably be after Latias and a Gen 2 Roamer!

I was inspired to start shiny hunting these roamers after first seeing your Suicune video, but with months of no success and multiple attempts taking well over 30 minutes each, I just gave up~ I love how shiny Entei looks in this generation-especially compared to its sprites in the next two generations.
So happy to see another hunt from you, your videos encouraged me to do an all shiny play through of diamond
