Going through an auto immune diagnosis path atm and i feel your pain. The cost, the pathology, the waiting, the appointments, the pain, the questions that go unanswered. Thanks for sharing your journey ❤

That is exactly what i am going through at the moment, autoimmune/ dysautonomia journey. Exclusionary testing is a hard road because its less about finding the issues and more about ruling other things out first before you can even start

@AussieDebtFreeGirl yes! The road to diagnosis is insane, and i understand now why people with auto immune and disautonomia have to wait years and years for a proper diagnosis! I just got 12 week follow up bloods done yesterday and now probably face waiting for an appt with a rheumatologist, and waiting for a flare up to document and test again. This is so stressful 😔

Yes, i agree the prep is fairly horrendous 😮...i also had several polyps removed, one in particular being quite large. I was fine after mine, wouldnt have even known they did anything. Unfortunately 4 days later my pathology was back and it wasnt good news....cancer. So, fairly quickly i was having major surgery, an open right hemi collectomy. The reason im telling you and others this is because everyone needs to be vigilant about bowel screening and also if they notice any changes regarding their bowel. The survival rate for bowel cancer is good. Its totally worth putting up with the prep to find out if things are ok. Hope everything comes back ok for you x

Couldn't agree more! I had a mass at 31 and a major bowel resection with 12cms of my bowel taken and annual colonoscopies
! Hope you're doing ok xx

@@sarah-mareebenfield3264 its great that they found it in time to do something for you☺ even when its stage 4, there is still so much they can do. I had all of my ascending and most of my transverse colon removed...roughly 1 metre(3feet). It certainly has been life changing for me. Im here and thats the best thing of all...hope you keep well x

Bepanthen nappy rash cream or similar is really good and baby water wipes. Broth black tea apple juice jelly were my go to.

I had to shot and chase it. The straw made it worse somehow. I also deluted it till it was less horrific. I now have to have them yearly

@AussieDebtFreeGirl must admit the prep is horrible I was able one time to do this prep in a glass of water mix a packet tasted like lemon alkaseltzer salty but as it was one glass easy. Morning and evening. Wish it was like that all the time. Last few have been in hospital and they gave me different stuff salty thick yuck and more of it. That's where I learnt the apple juice chaser. The after though, no pain relaxed those sandwiches and a cup of tea yum.

Dam I wish I had known otherwise I could have answered any of your questions. I have had 6 colonoscopies + 1 endoscopy at 34 and have a colonoscopy each year. Prep is horrendous, as I also take the coloxyl and movicol multiple times a day leading up to the colonscopy. It's like two preps one with the low fibre diet and the laxative medication and then another with the liquid day haha. I also have serrated polyposis syndrome too. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll help if I can.

As I said in the video i went private because I couldn't afford to wait for the public system to get me in, we are very grateful to have gone privately as this condition is aggressive

I'll be going public from now on as this will make make me a category 1 going forward. I'll be having colonoscopies every 6 months to a year to treat this.
