Jordan, I am so grateful I found your channel and I am so happy to hear your good news! I got diagnosed with Lupus and RA at 19, I am 27 now and have been on Humira this entire time. Since finding your channel I have been using your tips to change my relationship with food. I am currently in the middle of a really painful flare up, and seeing this from you gives me so much hope. Discipline has always been an issue of mine, but this may have been the proof and motivation I needed from a trusted messenger. THANK YOU
I am sending you love!!! I hope you’re able to get the rest you need so you can bounce back quick. I appreciate you for sharing and I absolutely empathize. I’m glad this video felt supportive. 🫶🏽
I’m a constipated girly😞 I’m just praying that you make it through it. Because I feel like I too may need to get this procedure in the future. And I’m terribly scared 😞
Sending love! I wouldn’t want you to be scared - it’s inevitable for many of us and no one is admitting it. I’m grateful I’m able to have access to a procedure like this… it’s the only way I would have changed my diet and I feel so much better!
Hi Jordan, long story short I’m 39 yrs old and went through the same situation as you minus I haven’t went in for a colonoscopy.. I’m too afraid and carry shame around this topic. What about the drink is bad? Is it the texture, the taste, the thought of what it’s going to do to your body or all of the above. Truly thank you for sharing your story.
I understand! It’s not the cutest thing to talk about which is why I’m glad I shared and that you sent this note. Obvi, I am not a doctor but I would tell anyone experiencing issues with bowel movements to see a specialist as soon as they can. It’s a tough situation but certainly one you wanna get ahead of. I’ve had 4 colonoscopies - my first was in my 20s and I’m 34 now. Yes, it’s tough. This drink is silly lol - but ultimately it’s part of the process and it’s the only way a doctor can do an accurate assessment of what’s going on. I say silly because it’s like you know you’re drinking a laxative but they try to make it fruity. 🤣 So for me… it’s more the texture of the drink. It’s almost syrupy and I don’t like “sweet, syrupy drinks” in general! It’s giving a syrupy grape soda, kinda thick. Once I did the pill form but it was tough too, the pills were huge!
That colonoscopy powder drink looks like it's the same consistency as Metamucil. Disgusting! Thanks for sharing your journey. I'm 24 with so many ailments and medical issues and you inspire me to share my journey.
Yes - the drink was tough! And the “sweet” flavor didn’t help at all. There is truly so much healing when we’re able to share, you never know who you’ll connect with! I promised myself at the top of 2024 that I would be more transparent and I’m so glad I did. Sending encouragement for you to share your journey when ready! 🤞🏽
Fellow IBD sufferer here (22+ years); the prep never gets any easier.
