    My father was waiting on Sam winner in the triumph hurdle in 2011 for 3.8mill from boyles capped at 1mill and 600k from paddy's. 2 years ago he had similar bet to urman in video, galvin 14s sir gerard 16s quiliox 12s Saint roi 20s..Saint roi was 4s after Xmas and ended up non runner..also the lad who won the million was 2 years ahead of me in school

      I took £300 on the first day, £250 on the second £120 on the third and £80 on the last from small stakes barely ever win as well so had a great/lucky festival

    2:37 I remember this race in running, and there was a massive lay of around 100k at 1.2. It spooked the market and it didn't all get taken until the horse had cleared the last fence if I remember correctly. Must've been this man's bet. Should've cancelled it once it was over the last!

    Nice video mate,the only thing you got wrong---ish... is if only 4 horse ran you would need to get the winner for placepot bets but as it was about Cheltenham ile forgive ya lol,don't get many low number fields there do we,especially at the festival

    Had a close call recently at the Breeders Cup. 6 fold at £20 on Big Evs, Unquestionable, Cody’s Wish, Inspiral, Mawj and Up to the Mark. First 4 won, Mawj lost in a photo finish with Master of the Seas and Up to the Mark lost by a length to Auguste Rodin. Return would have been £37k. 😢

    2 day Cheltenham out of this world outsiders beyond belief ,jaw dropping hard to get any punters heads round ,I didn't know untill finishing work and checking results dick Turpin came to mind ,but this is legalized thieving .

    I dropped £15 K on Constitution Hill (1-3) and Ireland to win Prestbury Cup ... won £6,666.50 not much .. but I kept it very simple .

      But 15 large to win 5?..

      THE Cheltenham bet this year was C.HILL to win and the distance.
      NO bookie would price up by 6 lengths or more.
      It was 2 to 5 lengths 1/3
      2 to 8 lengths 2/5 (NEVER do inclusive)
      OVER 10 lengths 5/4...
      He is a superstar,but state man is no mug.
      So I left it and just watched the race.
      He won by....NINE lengths!
      Dodgy bastards!

      Depends how you view it I guess. Nice size payouts on most of them, can't blame the punters. In terms of value though... ergh.

      You wouldn't cash out a life changing sum of money because of poor value? Cashing out and the next horse winning wouldn't feel as bad as going for the value and losing the lot. If value was all you're interested in you wouldn't put and acca on in the first place!

      @@samjohnson97 I've never cashed out on a bet, I prefer to lay my last selection on the Betfair Exchange. It's handy when you have a Tote bet running on a Placepot or Jackpot.

    The bookies won festival hands down on the Tuesday alone ,would of hardly paid out that day in fact with shite results ,I think I could of paid out on the Tuesday ,all double figured winners and 3 unbackable winners ,thanks again to crooked trainers and jockeys .

      If you think the Festival is bent, you are mad. Winning one race is enough for a small trainer and EVERY horse is sent there to try and win, even the big stables.

      I take your point, a lot of the time said gambles the media report aren't gambles either - ghost steamers with bookies that dont take bets unless profiled as a loser... still a bet is gamblings isn't it? Will word the title different next time!

      Betting at odds is a gamble. The stake is irrelevant. A millionaire who has a £50,000 bet is not better than a man with £100 in his pocket but has £50 on something. He's risking half of his bank.

      @@CaanBerryProTrader true. You must have a good reason to cash out. Bet365 are actually very good for betting on horses in particular. They've been going NRNB & Guaranteed odds at the Festival for nearly three weeks now. The guaranteed odds being slightly shorter than their ante post book. Well worth a look considering you need to wait until 8am on raceday with the other bookies.

      Bet365 are the worst, I open an account with them and they stake restrict me in hours. They will only let me bet pence, its all set up to look nice if you're taking bad value and hemoraging money to them. As soon as you take value you're gone, makes me really sad when I see people saying they're good in any way. It's a one-way valve and has been for years.     Jokes that bookies will quickly cap the stake of any potentially winning punter, but can't cap the stake for normal punters so their max stake on an acca is whatever would result in a £1m payout. Robbing gits.

      Ye, sportsbooks have become a one-way valve with algorithms and regulation. Exchanges are the only way to last long-term. Bookies are short term opportunity to exploit while they market otherwise and increase stake limits for losers that take bad value. Sad really, Bet365 started it all.

      We all know Annie power will top it,and we all KNOW that Walsh did not purposely lose the race,but the pain of what we saw that day,makes most of us believe he did!

    No one ever beats the bookies do they really , the only time anyone could beat them is if they haven't place a bet before and then one day decide to have a bet and win , never have a bet again in their life , that's thr only way to beat the blood sucking leeches .
