    Sat., Dec. 18, 2021 I know the game is called Farming Simulator but having animals is part of farming, at least for me. I started playing FS19 because OF the horses; not to sell them, just to have them. I like having all the animals. Yes, I agree, that animals should be able to "produce" something, i.e., wool, eggs, milk, etc. but anyone that's ever owned a horse in real life, knows the cheapest cost is the price you paid to buy them; after that, it's all downhill. LOL I'm glad they can now reproduce. That will make it a little bit more profitable but I enjoy the horses for what they are. :) Thank you for this video though. It has tons of good info for anyone that wants to know about horses in FS22. Merry Christmas Mr. JB

    A production building for horses could be a riding/boarding stable. This could provide passive income (and small maintenance fee) for the player as well as stat increases for adult/fully grown horses.
    Edit: The "product" being a fully trained horse worth $5000 or more.

    • @johnboy_gaming
      @johnboy_gaming  Год назад +2

      It would be hard to have a inventory slot for horses. You need to put something into the production. It would be hard to code that. But owning a horse care production where you can make riding obstacles. Might work

    I love how your videos include all details and go through the entire process. Most ppl don't do that. Iv also noticed the simulator community is so much more chill more helpful and less toxic than communities like gta or most mmo games or other multi-player games. Keep up the tutorials and help vids, your great.

    I feel like one day months on real time is more than enough time to get things done. I planted 5 fields in the French map, from plowing to Sowing in two days/months. Now I'm just chilling, exploring the map. The horses would be a nice addition to my farm.

    • @johnboy_gaming

      You will have plenty of time on real-time settings but when you want to breed more and more livestock it kinda sucks. You could play everyday and only go through a month or 2

  • @Rabbitohsfan

    Awesome video mate. This left me curious though. When "fully" grown, your 2nd horse was worth $1500. I wonder after being fully grown, if you could ride the horse for 4 days to bring the fitness to full & gain the $5000 price tag of the 1st horse. If that is possible, you could essentially just leave them to their own devices for 32 months, then start their fitness regime, boosting their price to max $5000 with minimal effort. Worth a sub because you are the only person I have seen cover horses in any capacity. And in depth at that. Cheers

    • @johnboy_gaming

    Horses weren't worth the effort in FS19. Even less so now. That's why I never use them in the game. Pigs eat all your crops. I never play with them either. I always just plant some grass and go with sheep, cows, and chickens on the side. Then flip fields for chicken grain. Make profit.

    • @johnboy_gaming

      Pigs are actually very profitable if you play on "normal" and "easy" economy and even just with buying pig feed. Just use the same method explained here by buying a certain amount each month (pen capacity divided by 10), leaving space for them to breed at month 10, sell the oldest ones once they breed and boom you have a monthly income each month selling the oldest pigs with a constant supply of new baby pigs each month as well.

    Maybe an additional 0 on the buying and final selling price might fix horses. And maybe the riding meter can be permanent. Like once you've ridden a horse its % won't drop down.

I have some thoughts, though, about usefulness of the horses. I saw people in a forum saying €50.000 in a horse is way too much.
    That isn't unrealistic for all the work we have to raise them.
    I am not sure what some players really want in games,probably suffer forever.
    There is no reason to work for peanuts.

    • @johnboy_gaming
      @johnboy_gaming  6 месяцев назад

      @@johnboy_gaming Some players are also a big problem and often forget what devs are doing wrong.
      If you know Snowrunner for example some players criticize when a vehicle is very good but don't criticize maps where they have to drive through rockslides and there is no task to remove it and if someone says that they say that would ruin the game.
      I have seen many opinions from players showing me you can only be a respected player of some game if you love everything in hard mode and say it should be harder like that would be the only formula to play a game.
      I want games on easy and hard but some want games hard,hardest,nightmare and hell.

    I dont think they ever hade any ide of players using horses to make money in fs22 but rather as an animal to just have on your farm. Just looking at the numbers even if we use the full 3 years old horse and sold it for the $5000 it still wouldent even be profitable if we take into account what it cost to feed the horse until it got to its full value. Horses are clearly not in the game for profit purposes. What they should have done with horses is what the Seasons mod did with horses in fs19 where u dident own horses but instead u toke care of other ppls horses, boarding horses i belive its called and instead of u buying/selling horses u got paid everyday from taking care of those horses and the higher there fitness and health were the more money u got paid each day. That would have been a mutch better system to use for horses in fs22.

    I'm also disappointed in pigs with this version. They only have 1 baby at a time. Seems they took the seasons mod from 19 and gutted all the good parts. Pigs get $1200 at 24 months. Sheep get $1000 at 36 months. Cows get $3500 at 36 months then start losing value.
