Just watched this for one of my classes for good communication. Now, this is what I call a proper and thorough report. Every part of the patient was covered from top to bottom.
The handover information was great. But the doctor should have assessed the patient prior to calling to the receiving physician. I mean the dr relied on information received from the nurse. As a provider I would do my quick assessment before I sign off my patient.
This is being posted to provide ENCOURAGEMENT This is a plural version of a Poem I wrote originally with the word (she) I have this Poem adjusted version to be applicable and Dedicated to the many, First Responders, physicians, nurses, medical staff, public safety, medivac, and all others who have selflessly devoted their time, labor, finances to aid in the healing and health, and the process of our country and our world. They are Resilient, and Despite the sadness, They Believe.... They will Overcome any Depression, that stands in their way.... They will keep Fighting, and will Not be defeated... They will NOT give up... They will find their inner Strength because... God's Glow is with them... They Glow with the Love, Kindness...they carry for others... How terrible... talking about feeling like a number, doctor may be great but wait till patient has to deal with the doctors nurses and staff that try to run the doctors business behind his back. Now he may be aware of this or may not and care or not? So God forbid one should need a refill on a medicine that could keep the patient alive and out the hospital. This is the issue many nurses and staff at doctors offices are exactly just as I described and many patients often find themselves victims of these types of so called doctors offices and it's wrong and sad and must end.
