Forrest should go back on the JRE to promote this killer podcast
Billion percent agree! I love the TWTP!!
No, let’s keep it a secret shhhhh
@@rhino447attack if it gets bigger they could self fund and shoot a show like Extinct or Alive
He would have to get invited lol, saying he should just go back on JRE is ridiculous it’s not his podcast lmao😂
@@Foggycallabasashillshelicopter considering their friends, I think Forrest is welcome anytime he has something to promote.
Can u guys talk about ethiopian wolves sometime Africa's most endangered carnivor...only 500 left in the wild
Unfortunately every wolf/wild dog species is endangered except coyotes, people don’t understand that wolves/wild dogs have to exist and are here for a reason,
@@harrygreb3457 ummmm no, not every wild canine is endangered
@@kingjellybean9795 you sure about that, seems like everyone except coyotes and jackals are almost gone
Wolves are awesome! The structure the packs take when traveling is amazing.
I was in Denver for a friend’s bachelor party in 2015 and we were bar hopping dowtown next to Coors Field; and one of the bars we went to an old Vietnam veteran/hippie guy was there and had his frikkin’ emotional support dog in there with him. But it was a tame rescue wolf! An “emotional support wolf”! A proper registered “ptsd” wolf. Right there in the bar, with him! It was so freaking cool and scary, as someone who had never even seen a wolf. But, he let me pet it, and the wolf of course let me touch him. And it was awesome! The plushest, thickest fur I have ever petted or touched on any type of canine or dog.
In Texas where there is no wolves the coyotes run around in packs mostly, you can hear them in the evening yelping in country places.
Now this is the type of podcast I've been wanting to find forever!
I’ve seen a white wolf in the wild one time with a friend in the Cherokee National Forest, TN. It was so majestic, like a spirit of the woods that the native Americans would venerate !!! So awesome !!!
If forest is ever back on the JRE he's gotta plug the pod 😉
Have Joe on TRT to talk about hunting
The ad prop up on my video was perfect. I’m brushing my teeth listening and I hear “the coyotes” “At harbor freight” I had to look down like why is harbor freight being brought up and what does that have to do with Yellowstone lol. I had to laugh and that’s hard when you’re brushing your teeth. 2:30
I interacted with some wolf-dogs (that were decidedly wolf in their mindset) at a refuge for them (Howling Woods Farm in Jackson, NJ). Some were incredibly friendly and sweet and others were standoffish, but NONE were aggressive in the least. One volunteer even approached the 2nd of one of the packs while it fed on a deer carcass and as the volunteer stepped forward, the wolf-dog backed up. There was an animal trainer with us at the time and he commented that a domesticated dog would probably come over the carcass to defend its food, so he was amazed to see an animal that is "bigger and badder" actually give ground to a human.
Wolves and wolf-dogs are absolutely amazing and its so cool to hear how their reintroduction to Yellowstone actually improved the environment. Great story and love your channel!
Wolves are elite tier animal
was just thinking about that. perfect apex predators, perfectly adapted to their environment
Forrest totally needs to go back on JRE. His appearances have been some of my favorite episodes. He and Joe just seem to "click".
Watching forest on joe rogan is what inspired me to study ecology at university
Another cool thing about the wolves in Yellowstone is that the deer eat the aspen. It just so happens that aspen is the tree of choice for beavers, so the population of beavers decreased, which again affected the waterways. Now that there is more aspen, there is more beavers and more beaver dams, which is a good thing for the rivers.
You should talk about the super packs in Russia
The First Nations did and still do hold wolves in high regard. There's a great deal of respect for the wolves and seeing them as important both in the physical world and the spiritual plane.
Love this podcast they need to have Joe Rogan on here. Although maybe not, I kinda like are small community here.
That wolf is about the size of my dog, and it’s a pitbull/Ibizan hound mix, nothing huge, about 75-80lbs. IG my dog is just abnormally big for her breed or that wolf is just small.
Coyote packs? Maybe to take down larger prey?
I know brotep will probably not see this but i have a question: Forrest was saying there is many extinct wolves but could they re appear due to their adaptiveness like how we did breeding them to be our pets ? Just my thoughts would love anyone’s feedback
He means extinct sub-species like Japanese Wolf, Southern Rocky Mountain Wolf etc
Wolves do not attack people, virtually no instances of it. I worked with wolves in a wild animal park, they each have their own personality some are friendly some skittish
Rogan has talked a LOT of smack about how deadly and dangerous he believes wolves are. Absolute BS. He had a buddy on his pod, who (along with a hunter friend) killed a bunch of wolves who were simply threatened by the hunters sitting at the wolves den. Just walk away, you boneheads. Another survivor dude Rogan had on his pod told Rogan, to Rogan's shock, of how he lived with wolves for some months, the wolves following him on hunts, him feeding fish to them, etc. No threat, living in harmony. People need to read .. yes, I know people don't read these days .. the book Beyond Words: What Animals Think and Feel by Carl Safina. First part on elephants, second on wolves, last third on orca. Amazing and enlightening read.
I think the coyote packs must become tagged to the wolf packs.
You should have pointed out these are obviously domesticated wolf's. As is kid I volunteered at the Wild Life Way station in Southern CA There were over a hundred, Wolf and Hybrids there all former pets. You wouldn't be in there with wild Wolf's.
It could be that the wolf pack will recognize another pack as a threat to its territory and its abundance so they’ll hunt and eliminate all of them but if they see a pair of coyotes here and there there’s no reason to see them as a threat.
They kill coyotes almost on site
Try tickling a pissed off snapping turtle or moving a 450lb Aldabra tortoise…
And then it all flooded
hi
I thought Rogan died ...LOL spotywho ? spotywhat ? LOL
small wolves , I've seen them in the wild , much bigger ...
First comment HOTDOG
It should be illegal to kill a wolf in the lower 48.
