Hi Neil it was a massive surprise but can be fixed it will be good content for the channel, I’m just frustrated as I’d have liked to be using it. Anyway how are you doing ? 🙂👍
Hi I hope to get on to this in January some time, I have the welding on the VW Polo Breadvan to finish first, videos of that work will be up soon, thanks for watching 🙂👍
Hi Gary, I’ve got so much welding to do, nearly every vehicle I own needs welding 😫 after that lot I may have found myself a new career 😂 I’m on the VW Polo atm I need to get the welding done on that first, I’m not far off some has been done off camera but there is some welding on that coming soon. Then on to the nightmare I’ve found on the Scooby 😢 but I’ll sort it thanks for watching 🙂👍
Ive had to scrap 2 x diahatsu fourtaks, A L200 pickup and a Shogun all because of the welding required. Japanese cars have a good reliability reputation, i dont think its justified imo. The rust on japanese 4x4's are worse than any other countries of manufacture. (Including landrovers). Jimnys are also notorious for rusting out.
Hi if this was any other vehicle’s I would scrap it, it has sentimental attachment to me also it’s RUclips content and only is tin,gas and time, I like this year and model but they are getting old now so buying another is also likely to have similarities issues. Also I like having a sporty car and a replace is going to cost me a lot more than fixing this one. Tbh as bad as the shock tower looks I think the sill area repair will probably be the more difficult part. But your right they do rust bad, thanks for watching 🙂👍
I was looking at buying a 2005 Mitsubishi Evo and it was also in the same state, but even worse, the rot was painted over with just white paint to hide it, all the moisture and salt around here just destroys the underside of these, and its not even that old, 18 year old car, older ones are even worse.
Hi I do t think it will Beto difficult, but it will be a time consuming job, but I do enjoy this type of work also it means RUclips videos 😃 Thanks for watching 🙂👍
Hi Bill unfortunately here in the U.K. it’s so damp a lot of the year also the previous own lived by the coast so I think that has had a bearing on this rusting so bad, but as I said I love the car and it will be repaired, thanks for watching 🙂👍
This car has sentimental attachment, the rust isn’t great but it would take more than this for me to scrap the car, I can fix it but it will take a while 👍
Alot of rust there, but like the van you did work on the rust , i see you getting this back on the road for MOT 👍
I know you love that car so its worth the effort to get it back on the road.

Looking forward to the repair. 👍

@menditman2004 I kinda like the old world station wagon style. If the game is still solid I would save it... and curse at rust the whole time lol

Say it right Bill, it’s an Estate!
@menditman2004 I understand that. I try not to get attached to machines, but I have had my hot rod for 22 years
