    I like the outside defense, but not the inside one. It looks too dangerous if done full speed.

      Silat is designed so that both of your hand works independantly, so it is still possible to train silat if youre left handed (im also a left-handed silat student)

      @@fadzilabubakar1545 most people being right handed. The attackers overhand right , whether it be with a weapon or empty handed. My left, my strong side blocks . wondering if there's a better advantage me being a Lefty. Thinking out loud, also, its not going to change..... So just train ....

    • @fadzilabubakar1545
      @fadzilabubakar1545 3 года назад +2

      @@jasonpatio8338 based on my experience (since i am also a lefty), you can surprise the opponent by being a little bit different what they are used to. Examples are you can do a outside block with your right hand combined with footwork if the enemy strikes with his right hand, then you can use your strong left hand to land a clear strike and off balance your enemy. Or you can block the strikes with your strong hand to create a big opening so it can leads to more strikes or grappling

    • @fadzilabubakar1545
      @fadzilabubakar1545 3 года назад +1

      But since i trained to balance my left and right side, i feel comfortable and strong on both sides (but my left kicks are still quite weak hahhahaa)
