Exploring the Isle of Portland in Dorset! | Jurassic Coast Circular Walk, UK

- Hey all! In this video we are exploring the Isle of Portland in Dorset! This Jurassic Coast walk in the UK is a fantastic way to see all of the highlights and best views from the Isle of Portland - a 6km tied island on England's south coast!
Highlights include: Portland Bill Lighthouse, Pulpit Rock, Tout Quarry, Olympic Rings Lookout and a ton of amazing viewpoints as you make your way around the coastline of the island. You will be following the South West Coast Path most of the way around and can start from either the north or south of the island. We started from Portland Bill Lighthouse and walked round in a clockwise direction!
The total length of our route was about 16km so if you are after something a little shorter then you could just walk up one side of the island (we suggest the west coast as the views are more epic!) and then take the bus back to your starting point.
Enjoy the video!

Fab video, wow what views too, can't wait to explore when we go later this year, do you know how far your walk was ? looks amazing, did you see the pirates graveyard? and the prison? Thank you so much for sharing the video loved it.
Thank you! You will have such an awesome time there I'm sure! Our walk was quite long...about 16km all the way around! No we didn't see either of those! The prison we just didn't have time for but it did look really cool...reason to go back for sure!! 😊👍
I live on jerrassic coast near Bridport and I adore Portland. It really for me has good feel factor about it. I think alot of the population of portland not so nice. Still I love it. There is an old wife's tail that really is true and that's if you stand on Lyme or Charmouth beach and you can see portland really clear. Means it will rain the following day.
We absolutely loved Portland as well! Thanks for watching our video 😊
No thankyou for making it
I’ve heard there are covens on Portland
Я российский ультрас, это прекрасный остров для спортивного отдыха
My dad is moving ther and I’m going with him
Nice! It will be a beautiful place to live 👍😊
where is that bridge is located? Thank you
If you're talking about the bridge near the end of the video, it's actually at Tintagel in Cornwall. That was just a preview of another video we made 😊
If I managed to climb pulpit rock I wouldn't be able to get back down 😒 so I won't try that.
Yeah it’s not the easiest to get up or down! Luckily it’s nice to admire from a distance as well! 😊
how long does it take for a full circle.
We started at 8:30am and finished at 3:30pm so took us about 7 hours but we stopped a lot to film so reckon you could probably take 1-2 hours off that 👍
If I stomp around it without much pause it takes me 4.5 hours.
Tbh the bgm ruined the vibe😭
Sorry you didn't like it 😥 we always try to pick what we think is the most appropriate music but it's not always to everyone's liking.
not very nice to live i wont lie
It was a beautiful place to visit! Can't comment on the living situation so will have to take your word for it! Thanks for watching 😊
