Kitti and Jon
Великобритания
Добавлен 17 сен 2020
Hi! We are Kitti and Jon! We are a multinational (Hungarian and British) couple living in Manchester, England and we love to travel, hike and explore both in the UK and abroad! We definitely have the travel bug and have explored many countries on and off together in the 7 years since we met (when our jobs have allowed it!). We decided to finally start filming our adventures and sharing them with you guys!
We have currently visited 38 countries (29 countries together) over 3 continents (Europe, North America and South America). We try to pack in as much as we possibly can when we go on holiday as there is so much to see and do in every place we visit, from tourist hotspots to epic hikes to hidden gems, and we don't want to miss a thing in the limited time we have in each place!
In 2022 we decided to embark on a crazy one year adventure around Central and South America where we want to enjoy these unique cultures at a slower pace!
We hope you can join us on our journey! :)

Our FAVORITE Things To Do in ANTIGUA, GUATEMALA!
Hey guys! We're back! In this video we'll show you some of our favorite things to do in Antigua Guatemala, one of the country's most popular tourist destinations!
There's a good reason this city is the focal point of many peoples visits to Guatemala, as it sits in the shadow of Fuego volcano, the most active volcano in the country. You can see it erupting from the city centre and can climb the adjacent Acatenango volcano for one of the most amazing experiences anywhere in the world (stay tuned for our next video!).

We do too 😊
Bravo for you 😘😘
Thank you 🙏

Wow its amazing it looks like Italian city ❤
We know! It’s such a beautiful city 😍
@@KittiandJon how about security did you feel safe there?
@@abduljabbarlaghari3914 yeah we felt perfectly safe there. Just stick to the main areas, don’t walk around alone at night and watch out for pickpockets in crowded places. The usual stuff 👍
@@KittiandJon ok thanks 💜
Pronounced empanadas Jon!
🫢 sorry! Thanks for the correction 👍
Question: There's one thing I'm trying to understand: why do tourists generally pay more at diffrent venue's like waterparks? I've seen prices like about €30,- entrance for an waterpark for tourists and about €15,- for Turkish people. Is it some sort of scam or because of tourists tax? I mean it's often almost a 50% diffrence.
It is largely just down to economic reasons. In countries where the economy is not as strong as places like the UK, US and Europe, additional income from tourists is a sure fire way to boost the economy whilst still giving locals the chance to experience places at a rate that better reflects their incomes. We earn more, so we pay more. Whether this is fair or not is an entirely different question but it’s just something we have to expect…
@@KittiandJon thanks for your answer. If I understand you well the prices are higher for tourists because tourist-tax is added to the price? (economic reasons)
@@KittiandJon I don't know if its fair or not, I'm only trying to understand why the price is higher ;)
Awesome video, I'm glaid Iv'e seen this because I'm going to the Riviera in August :)
Thank you! Have an amazing time 😊
Did you hike out in the dark or camp there
No it’s an afternoon tour from Antigua. You leave around 2pm, start hiking around 3:30 and then watch the sunset and drive back in the dark. I think there is an option to do an overnight hike on Pacaya though if you want 👍
Where is the place where you eat those traditional treats?
It’s called Oda Garden and you can find it on Google Maps 😊
<3
❤️
@@KittiandJon <3
Did you get a tourguide in Antiqua?
Not in Antigua no. It’s easy to walk around and do all the sites without one. Obviously for the tours to Pacaya and Acatenango we had a tour guide though 👍
Great video you have inspired me to go here thanks
Thank you! 😊 we hope you are able to do it!
There is nothing to do and it’s so humid and hot
Each to there own…not for everyone…
Hi, may I know what agency did you use and how much it cost?
For the paragliding? We went with Gravity and I think it cost about £80-£120 2 years ago. It will be a lot more expensive now probably…
Thankyou very much for your info
Keep with the scenery, esp. Glen Etive, quit the narcissism.
Not sure how we come across as narcissistic in this video but okay. Glad you enjoyed the scenery 👍
@@KittiandJon Talking people we dont know.
Thanks both for sharing, very useful entertaining video 😊
Thanks for watching and glad you found it useful 😊
I’ve watched and thoroughly enjoyed your videos on Cusco, the Sacred Valley and the Salkantay trek - all of which I long to do before I die! My question is, did you have any issues with food poisoning, and what precautions did you take to avoid it? I’ve heard the water isn’t safe and you should only eat piping hot food
Thank you! 😊 we hope you get the chance to do them! No we never had any issues with food poisoning. We ate at many restaurants and cooked for ourselves quite a lot too. You definitely don’t want to drink the water (or if you do make sure to boil it for like 5 minutes first - we did that many times for our coffee in the morning). We are vegetarian so didn’t eat any meat though.
Thanks for visiting our city! 🥑🚠☕ #BogotaYourWay
It was our pleasure 😊👍
Funny how the algorithm brought me here (Bogotano here), but once I've seen a number of travelers it seems unanimous: None expected Bogotá to be that much fun. I do get we may not have a beach like Cali or the many festivals Medellin has all year round... but the sheer size and cosmopolitan nature of the capital seems to charm everyone. As an old tourist ad said: Come visit, the only risk is wanting to stay. Glad you had a good time here. Edit: If you ever come back and want to see THE El Dorado... you want to visit Guatavita (just an hour ourside Bogotá) Edit2: No one seems able to pronounce La candelaria correctly lol
Thanks! We were definitely pleasantly surprised by Bogota 🙂yeah we thought about going to Guatavita but in the end we just couldn't find the time...like you say maybe next time! 😉
Bogota is nice, very pleasent weather and the old architecture of the kind that you will not see in cartagena. Some of it. Also whats good and surprising about bogota is that compared to cartagena its very quiet. In fact it doesnt even feel like an 8 million city as a lot of the streets are empty and peaceful. Medellin doesnt have an old town. I dont know what happened. Colombia was not bombed in the war. So perhaps the goverment people took the buildings down to build modern ones. Its not attractive. Probably once used to be a beautiful city but not anymore. The reason to go to medellin would be festivals like you say and easy access to nature as there is the avri park there for walking/hiking
@@dreamthedream8929 thanks for watching and for the info about the city 🙂
@@dreamthedream8929 "pleasant weather" and "Bogotá" are not two words I'm used to see together 😂 as our weather has multiple personality disorder; one hour you're burning under the sun and the next you're under heavy rain. And yeah, the historical center's streets are rather empty, but we do have regular metropolis issues, especially if you go towards the center of the city, then again it's all part of the experience; I've heard of tourist that stayed saying after 2 years and they felt they hadn't scratched the surface of what Bogotá has to offer. As for Medellin it does have a lot of history behind it, it's all on Wikipedia too, so a quick read might give you some clues (also Cali's history is one for the ages).
@@DungeonBricks even if you burn under the sun it's still gonna be refreshing, nothing like this in cartagena. Bogota weather is simply refreshing. Never 30 degrees. Around 20 during the day and 10 at night. Perfect temperature for nice walks outside. Of course if it's not raining.

Great video guys- and good advice!
Thanks! 🙂
Love this! so informative :)
Thank you! 😊
make videos in bikini then you are viral.
It’s sad that this is true…
Loved your video! I will be doing the salkantay trek in August. We will be acclimating in Cusco for 4 days prior to the trek. I am worried about level of fitness required to do the actual trek! I can hike 20 km on flat ground, but not sure what type of prep work I need to do to be able to manage the trek!
If you can hike that far then we think you’ll be fine! Definitely do a few mountain walks if you can beforehand so you get used to hiking on elevation but otherwise there’s not much extra prep you can do. Worst case you can hire a mule to take you up the difficult pass on the 2nd day. Have fun! 😊
Hello I am interested in your itinerary. 🤗
Hey! That's great hope you can do the hike! It's a great one! 🙂
😮best things to do 😁go Tirana square and walk the surrounding of the square 😂and if you can throw away more money ride their cable car 🚡 😅 . 😂
Hello! Would you recommend we get a guide in Manuel Antonio to spot animals?
Yes for sure! If you want to guarantee to spot animals then you will do that with a guide. But we’re pretty sure you will see animals without a guide too. We saw birds, monkeys and lots of iguanas without a guide 👍

Great content. You have to go back to Costa Roca and do more cities please. :). How do you pay on local buses? Cash? Card?
Thanks! There is still plenty more for us to see there for sure 😊 2 years ago we paid cash for the buses but you may be able to pay card now too. Always best to have cash though 👍
Probably one of the most beautiful lake in the world. All around the lake there are several villages (aldeas) named after Jesus's apostles. Crossing the lake with a small boat when the weather is good (be careful : storms can be terrible on this lake) is definitely worth it, because the surrounding villages offer artisanal wonders. It's highly recommended to speak Spanish well or to be accompanied by a local if you want to benefit from advantageous prices. The prices mentioned in the video for bread and other foodstuffs are absolutely prohibitive. Our friends got scammed 😮.
Good advice 👍
La Ronda opens at night!
Yeah we realised later! 😅
I will be 35 days in Guatemala in September and October and I'm spending 16 days in Xela to do some running and dental work.
Nice! Have fun 😊
Love the footage, well done. On the various hikes such as these, the Quairang, and the Old man of Storr, where did you typically launch your drone from? Was there always a good spot away from other people? I’ll be visiting there soon. Hope to get some good drone footage. Thanks!
Thanks 😊 yes it’s pretty easy to find a quiet spot away from people to launch the drone…the areas are so big! Enjoy and hope you get some good shots! 😊
what is the P.P currency mean ? Pritish Pound ???
Not sure where we put P.P in the video…maybe an auto caption error in the subtitles? Or just a typo. But yes it’s probably supposed to be GBP. 👍
antalya is only the province ir has mjany fethiyes to iit like kemer, kaS, KALKAN, side, belek, alanya each are towns of antalya as big as fethiye
We know that but there is also a city called Antalya and a city called Fethiye no? This video is about those places not any of the others you mentioned.
Love the Lost.gardens 😊
Us too 😊
Thanks for the info! What made the bus so difficult? Going in a couple months and I'm trying to figure out things.
Thanks 😊 it was the change of bus when you get to the terminal in the north of the city that was difficult. The bus to there is easy…it’s one of the fast metro buses. But the next bus doesn’t leave from that terminal…you have to wait by the side of the main road for a bus to pass that is going to Zipaquira. Can be a bit tricky if you don’t know what you’re looking for but it should be written on the bus (Zipaquira or Zipa something like that) 👍 enjoy your trip! 😊
@@KittiandJon Thanks!!

The Albanian Alps are so beautiful but the Albanian Riveria is just magical like a fairytale!!
We agree! Albania is an all round beautiful country 😍
Hello! Really cool video, quick question if it's okay, how affordable were the souvenirs, socks and jumpers? Were they good quality? Thank you so much!
Hi! Thank you 😊 they were pretty affordable…this was 2 years ago now but I think the socks were like $4-5 and the the jumpers maybe $10-15…I expect they’ll be more now! Socks didn’t last too long…they were very warm and comfy but wore out pretty quickly. We still have the jumpers though…again good quality but we haven’t really worn them or washed them all that much since leaving Peru. Hope that helps 😊

How long would you recommend staying in Manuel Antonio?
We’d say the bare minimum you’d need is about 2 days (1 for the national park and one to go to the waterfalls) but would definitely recommend staying longer if you enjoy beaches and being by the sea 😊 we spent 1 week there 👍
