Cc c est fabienne je re-découvrir ce best of, j avais 6 ans j adorais.....une pépite des 80...hello everyone. So Nice i was 6..in 1981 i remember this best of
I always have loved this song but I am just today realizing what an awesome band Quarterflash is!! This song was originally released under the band name Seafood Mama before they changed their name to Quarterflash according to Wikipedia. They also state that the last 3 albums didn't chart. I feel like this is due to poor planning and advertising on someone's part. I wish I had realized how awesome they were when I was a kid. I grew up in the '90's. I was an awkward girl that loved music, played the saxophone, and only would sing if nobody was around because of horrible stage fright. She would have been a great musician to look up to if solely on those aspects alone. I am still learning about Quarterflash and going through all the music. I know good music when I hear it and no doubt this is one talented band that deserves way more recognition then they have received this far.
The thing that gets me is how good the vocal harmonies in this group. You don't hear it so much on this song, but if you listen to some of the live clips of them doing Find Another Fool, they sound perfect. That's most band's weakness onstage, they can't get those harmonies to sound as tight as they do on the record, but these guys had it down.
backing track and full recorded track is used extensively in the last 10 years to promote a fake live show - even on the road. Don't go thinking that selena gomez types sing live - they can't .
First: You don't know what you're talking about because I don't see Selena Gomez mentioned. Second; I have worked in the music business for 25 years Third: The double tracking of vocal is used for an affect that Chorus can NEVER re/produce. It is used on MANY records Fourth: A backing track is way different than your newly introduced 'full recorded track'. That is karaoke. Fifth: Know what the Fuck you are talking about before opening your mouth
@@MsCordially Actually, pop acts were doing that back in the 80's. Even before the Milli Vanilli thing hit, it was sort of an "open secret" that most of the people in the "dance music" field didn't sing live, because you can't dance like that and sing on key at the same time.
Sin dudas la mejor música fueron de mis años de fiestas y discotecas años 80 ..k los de ahora es todo basura al lado de esta década .. solo escucho grupos y canciones de mis años de juventud k anda q fueron. A tope
Nathan Phelps -Honestly, it's all good. I DID laugh after all. My husband and I often talk about the difference between men and women. Girls/women notice comments like that, I guess, but it's nice of you to apologize. Thanks, and again, peace.
Awesome! I assume this performance was mid to late 1980s. Check them out in 2011 sruclips.net/video/_r3E0srIGws/видео.html Still awesome after another 20+ years! Quarterflash's final concert in 2019 was also awesome. Retiring on a high. Rindy, Marv and the whole bad are legends.
She didn't have the vocal octave to hit the high notes as she did on the studio recording, which leads one to ask, did she really have it, or was it something that was enhanced in the studio to begin with?
No auto-tune, actual instruments... you just can't recreate the music of the 80's. It was an amazing decade to live in.
Not only could that beautiful lady sing, but she played an unforgettable sax riff!
They don't make music like that today. What a talented lady!!
Beautiful in every respect - she has that range and that "sob" in her voice that great singers have.
I never realized how talented this band was, this was an awesome performance.
I did..Have this on vinyl!
Singing closer to pitch than any pop star today can, and she can play the sax.
School teacher turned rock star!❤️

Acá ella realmente canta y los demás tocan sus instrumentos ... pues circulan muchos vodeos dónde sólo hace play back !!.
I have been loving this song and beautiful singer~~
Singer is a real talented lady with awesome voice.
She still looks good after all these years... Awesome band too hahaha Well done band...
Awesome voice! That is one hell of a voice for a school teacher.... Love that song. I think that shows my age.
Kelly Thornell Age? I have this album on vinyl bought it when it first came out.But I must confess my hair has turned white since then.

oooooo dammmmm..❤
I lived in Portland Oregon when they released the original track ,I found out that they were grade school teachers.
I had that LP & cassette.Anybody remember them?
Because of them I play the alto sax.
💔Wow! Incredible performance a masterpiece of nostalgia ❤
Buena canción .
Hermosa cantante
Uma das melhores coisas que ouvi, muito bom trabalho, perfeito e ela não se compara a nada, bonita
Great job here........
Classic cut from the time machine I love this jam.....
Look kids, she's singing and no ENTIRE BACKING TRACK needs to be turned on and up after 18 seconds to make her sound decent.
What a talented lady
Backing track is used for doubling which no one can do live. Not even w/ a Chorus effect.
backing track and full recorded track is used extensively in the last 10 years to promote a fake live show - even on the road. Don't go thinking that selena gomez types sing live - they can't .

duranfield first off, Selenea Gomez doesn’t sing live.

For sure. Still in great shape
Love the sax but that guitar solo was epic !
I appreciate how she doesn't try to be Pat Benatar or Linda Ronstadt, she understands her abilities. Very sexy Very self aware.

**** Mindy Ross: Little Lady with a Big Voice.

I always assumed this was Pat Benatar!!
YNOLVYDABLE !!!
Sings and saxes.
She didn't have the vocal octave to hit the high notes as she did on the studio recording, which leads one to ask, did she really have it, or was it something that was enhanced in the studio to begin with?
Terrible 🕺🏻😎🕺🏻
mmmmmmm
She doesn't have an amazing voice. Actually rather average for a professional singer. She just uses it very well and has great intonation.
