The milk comment reminds me of a video Red Fang doing wires. I love the video and can barely remember the song, but they go into the gorcery and buy milk. The look on the guys face is priceless. The video is pure fun.

This music isn't just good, it's important. Ne Obliviscaris creates important pieces of art. This is an immensely well-crafted song. I don't need to heap more praise upon them, but I will. The new bassist sounds excellent and, as usual, all of the instrumentation is gorgeous. This song sounds overall darker than their previous offerings, making the juxtaposition with Tim's more soaring vocal sections that much deeper. It feels darker, not heavier. Like the embrace got colder, not tighter.
I'm particularly glad to see that they've managed to keep that unique and seductive sound. The final flourish of Devour Me, Collosus (Part I): Blackholes is one of my favorite moments in music, period. It is moments like that that make this band special. Each instrumental role, each melody, each lyric, etc; appear to be crafted into something greater than the sum of it's parts. All music is technically art, but NeO is, in my opinion, fine art. I saw them live a year ago and they are impeccable performers. Glad I got to shake their hands afterwards and tell them how important their music is to me. I would not be surprised if this next album really launches these gents into stardom. I've been saying for awhile that they have something special here and if the right people get exposed to it they'll gain fame rapidly. Far beyond what they've experienced in the last year.
Looking forward to having my worldview and personality changed by your music again once this next album releases.

I am 43 years old... been into extreme metal most of my life ... as well as a lot of other stuff. I heard this song for the first time today. It is the best music I have ever heard. The very best. I was also suprised this band was from Australia. I was sure I was listening to some Scanidnavians until I did my due diligence google search ;)

i’m absolutely obsessed with the way tim charles says “intravenous”. it’s somehow simultaneously heartbreaking and uplifting, probably one of the best vocal deliveries i’ve ever heard - somewhat on the same level as MF DOOM’s first 2 bars on Raid (for different reasons ofc).
Intra Venus = intravenous maybe just a coincidence but I think it's just a great wordplay here, such a vivid artistic expression

The clean vocalist is impressive af, really unique compared to stuff in this genre. Also the acoustic break at 4:37 is fucking perfect.
Tim's vocals just keep getting better after each album. And oh my god that guitar vs violin solo was fantastic. Can't wait for the whole album
The back and forth solo was genius and the way the violin and guitar blended into another sent shivers down my spine.
Mr Dan Presland is just a fucking monster! Killing the shit out of that beautiful kit.

That cello section could be used to resuscitate people. Brings chills down my spine and tears in my eyes every. single. time. Chapeau, this song has a perfect balance between light and darkness.
The album was phenomenal. I barely noticed Xen's interpretation of The Birth Of Venus in the video (5:16)! His creativity never fails to amaze and inspire; I was so pleased to have met and briefly talk with him when I saw them during their tour... Such an amazing bunch of talented musicians.

listened to this a few times and i can hear Xen continuously improving his vocals. i love this band more than any other. first band to bring me to tears from listening to them, dont know why i did but it just happened.

Yotivk Mori Damn son, someone got triggered. Nah, despite his actions he was still a good bass player so I was kinda worried that the new one wouldn't be able to replicate his playing. Surprisingly he's done well and this track sounds wonderful, I only hope the rest of the album is good as this.

Interesting band, decided to listen to them cause Persefone (my favorite band ever) is touring with them this year and was pleasently surprised.

I think this is the first time Tim's violin work actually sounds metal-like just on its own rather than something that injects beauty and orchestral grace into a heavy composition (not that that's bad in any way at all). Still getting heavy Opeth vibes here. Absolutely loving it :)

Xen's vocals live sound *exactly* like they do recorded. Actually all of their playing and singing does. Violin is a *hard* instrument and they naaailed it live. One of the best shows I've been to.

One of my favorite parts of the band is the stories they weave in your mind even without intentionally creating concrete stories.
I’ve seen stories of great wars and omnipotent brings trapped deep beneath the sea just from a few lines.
Dan Presland is on a whole other level. The guy is extremely tight and super creative. One of the best in the metal scene at the moment!!

First things first, NeO is my fav band, ever. I'm excited af because this song fulfills my ridiculously high expectations for the new album. I find a dark mystical atmosphere which reminds me of Opeth's best tracks, also some feelings from their older stuff (Hiraeth and Sarabande to Nihil) and just a bit of Pyrrhic style. Nevertheless, this is a new, unique and original masterpiece, so I guess It's too early to expect the same feom the rest of the album. HYPED AF. Thank you once again Ne Obliviscaris, I owe you at least the reason to keep existing as blissful as possible.

First time I hear this group and I am blasted away! This is the wonderful thing about metal: the moment you think you reached the the end there is still more and more and more.
I know it’s been 5 years, but I think metal has finally plateaud. A lot of it is starting to sound the same. Very few bands stand out anymore.
I've seen them live with Cradle of Filth and they sound the same. Which is a good thing, their live performances are a great as their studios sounds.

Rene Aensland If they sound the same live, then there's no point in going because you're going to get the same experience. Every band should sound BETTER live than in studio. I'm going to see NeO live in a few weeks for the first time and I hope they'll blow my head off!
Yeah, sure, but I think you're neglecting what you take from the performance away from the technical abilities, not all singers will be able to hit the notes live that NeO does, doesn't take away from their talent and they can still be better than on CD. NeO tho, they sound as good and clean as the studio takes, but you still get the advantage of taking an assbeating from the energy of the live performance which you would never get from listening to the album.

All of NeO's stuff is dark. Xenoyr creates very dark, yet beautiful poetry.

Its so awesome that the singers look like their singing style.. The clean singer looks handsome and the screamer just looks like the pure evil... makes it so much more intense
These guys probably listen to nothing but Opeth. Like 24/7 while they do everything. Walking the dog to Circle of the tyrants, doing laundry to Dirge for November, Cooking a really nice roast to Ghost Reveries.... This band sounds like Opeth and i am 100% ok with that!
