As always, this video is chocked full of ideas. Thank you! At the risk of being presumptuous, I want to remind you of the VERY old idea of using a piece of cardboard wrapped with aluminum foil (and with a clothespin “handle” ) to place your prepared piece of cardstock on. Then your fingers are protected from the heat of the heat tool. I found also that the embossing seems to go more quickly using this little homemade tool. Again, thanks for the detailed instruction. Jan
Thank-you Connie it was so nice to see someone explaining the correct method of heat embossing. I have cringed so many times watching those who should know better spreading embossing powder over top of their Misti and heating over open stamp pads and open containers of embossing powders. So thank-you once again.
Thank you so much Connie, I really really enjoyed watching you create all these different idea’s with embossing ink/powder. I wish I’d known about the used dryer sheets before. But, it’s still a brilliant tip for us all. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
You are truly amazing Connie! Every time I think I know all about your Tuesday Tip Topic. You prove to me that I still have learning to do. I don't know how you remember all of the techniques you do. But I'm going to keep on watching every video you make.
Thank you so much for the info on the white stamp pad. I bought it and thought it was something wrong with the ink as it is so thick. Now I know it is suppose to be; and the tip for inking the pad. Liked all the other tips as well.
Connie, great video. Love the gold on gold! When I started stamping (back in the olden days : )), when we wanted to emboss in a color, I was taught to first ink my stamp with Versa Mark and then in the color of ink I wanted. The Versa Mark kept the image wet enough to hold the powder, and the image was in color. Oh, Connie, you are way ahead of me, aren't you! (edited this comment at end of your video) LOL
I always had problems with heat embossing and so I have a fear of trying it again...but with your video instruction and great techniques I know I can be successful! Thank you!
I really look forward to your videos and I have learned so much from all the tips and tricks that you share! Thank you for educating us on all these wonderful techniques.
Hi Connie. Thanks for the class. I have started to use my heat tool and stamps your way is so much easier to follow. Also found a friend that does stampin up in the UK.
Thank you for a wonderful embossing masterclass! You gave such fantastic tips and I've learned so much. With some of them I wondered how I'd never thought of them myself - but of course, you don't know what you don't know until an expert shows you!
Love your master classes! The reminder and reintroducing of some of those techniques has given me inspiration to use them on some cards!! Thank you so much!
Great lesson! I do know how to emboss but have been having some issues with the result. So I did learn new tricks. Re: the white craft ink. At first I thought the refill ink was bad because it was so thick. My demo explained it all to me. Didn’t realize that ithe ink should sit in the top so the spongie pad. So, good to know. Also loved the gold on gold. Thanks.
Hi Connie, loving this series ! I never think to use my embossing powders, I don't know why though. Such a lovely effect, thanks for sharing and reminding me.
Thanks for another great video, Connie! Heat embossing is something I'm saving for the future. I added your video to one of my playlists so I can refer back to it when I'm ready.
If there is some warping you can put the cardstock in a book and put something on it to weight it down and let it sit for a little while. That usually straightens it out. For those of us just getting into heat embossing, we may need to do that more in the beginning.
Hi, Connie! Thank you for showing embossing with the WW ink! And finally my new heat tool arrived today(had been on back order since early Sept!), so I can actually emboss again, using these new media for powders to stick to.
Connie, what stamp set is the leaves and greeting from that you stamped on the beautiful gold foil and adhered it to the red cardstock. Thank you for a most wonderful tutorial.
