This is a technique that I love very much. I did a course many years ago and we called it Parchment Craft. It is very versatile. You have inspired me to get going on a card Ithat I need. Thank you 🌻
Love this, pergamano was one of my 1st introductions into paper craft as a child 30 odd years ago. My mum had a pergamano kit that she allowed me and my sister to do 1 sheet of each and I loved it, I was so keen to do more. Now as an adult I have the tools, supplies and a new combined technique I think I'll make her a card in this design as it's her birthday in a fortnight.
It's so nice to see all the craft items you use to make cards... it's making me take second looks at things I have in my stash to see if they can be used ... thank you for sharing.
I believe this technique comes under Pergamano where everything is done on vellum. It was good to be reminded of this technique and intend to use it. Thank you.
Bettie Erasmus (South Africa) This is the same technique used when making cards etc using Pergamano tools on vellum. Stunning technique for your card as well Natasha. It looks beautiful, love it 😀
Aah, you have introduced the art of PARCHING (not Pergamano which is a brand name). If one uses a small ball tool and exerts too much pressure there is the danger that the parchment can buckle or even tear especially if the foam below is too soft, so beginners would be advised to practice first before risking a good piece of stamping . A parcher would use a larger ball tool to start and with less pressure and repeat several times (and perhaps reduce the ball size in the process) to get true white. As you say, it is very effective and the end result can be beautiful as you have shown.
I used to do Pergamano, Tarjeteria, whatever you want to call it, years ago. I think I got all of the inks, coloring and other supplies, and tools from a company in Puerto Rico. I got stylus with several different ball sizes and the tools for punching holes in the vellum too. The company had a whole book of beautiful patterns too. I did many of their card projects.
Thank you Natasha, this looks beautiful. I can tell a lot of people want to try your techniques as nearly every product you use is soon out of stock. One has to get in quick. I always look forward to your videos and am amazed that you can still find something new to make or say. Your friends and family are very blessed receiving your work.
Using brads to attach the vellum was brilliant! I thought you were going to use them in the centers of the flowers but the 4 corner look is still great!
Hi Natasha. Stunning card. Your card is so gorgeous. As someone else commented, if I was a family member or a friend who lives nearby, I would so take this card from your stash. I LOVE it! As you are in New Zealand and I'm in South Africa, I will CASE your card instead. TFS. Keep well. God bless. 💙🤗
Thanks for showing another use for vellum! I only have seen it used as a covering for a card (like it is to protect the glitter, gloss or embellishments). You make the most common supplies look so easy and beautiful to use.
I believe the name of the technique on vellum is pergamano. There are loads of videos about. I always click on your videos as soon as I see one. You have such great ideas. Thank you.
OMGOODNESS NATASHA 😱 🥰❤😊❣THIS IS QUITE STUNNING. ABSOLUTELY EXQUISITE, BREATHTAKIN BEAUTIFUL ❤ I think this is my favorite card you've made ❤ But, than again I say that with every card you make. Thank You so much for sharing with all of us ❤ Sending Love, Hugs and Blessings to you and your Family ❤ Xoxo Vicki from the United States in the State of Utah 🍯🐝 Please take care. Many Cheerful thoughts of you and your adorable little Family❤
Barbara Gray from Claritystamps (RUclips channel of the same name) has a wonderful range which, from personal experience, makes parchment crafting really easy but with beautiful results... 'Groovi' by name and by finished results! My favourite is the white work which Natasha was showing. 😊
What a beautiful end result. I am not sure, but is this technique called "Pergamano"? I love how lacy the patterns become. Thank you so much for sharing.
Natasha, your card is absolutely beautiful! Have done Pergamano many years ago and love it. After seeing your card, now I must go back and make parchment cards although it can take a long time to complete. The yellow cardstock really stands out. Thank you for sharing.😊
Oh how beautiful, Natasha!! I've been using brads for attaching vellum since I started scrapping in 1997; best technique I've ever used - its my go-to. 😊 I absolutely adore your colouring as well - it's completely stunning. Thankyou for sharing this beautiful card. Hugs from across the ditch. 😊🇦🇺😊
Beautiful Natasha! Love, love, love! Here in South America this technique (embossing = "repujado") is used quite often in card making. It is done using "papel pergamino" which is vellum. I however, have never seen it used with embossing powder, that just takes it to another level! Stunning! tfs ! Hugs💕
Wow! I was so surprised to see how different colors effected the vellum. The yellow mat makes this such a happy card. You did a video before using the back of the vellum and a ball tool. That is NOT a criticism! I am mentioning it because I tried it, but used cheap vellum (which is not really vellum as the package claimed). It was paper that had been in my stash for years and years...the price tag was the kind that came out of the little press-on device! 🙄 The project results went into the bin. I wanted to reiterate that quality does count. Spend the little extra to get Lawnfawn vellum. You will be so much happier with the results! Thanks, Natasha💛
Again a beautiful, special car with not too many products. I look forward to making this. I tried a couple of easy techniques under the stress of a deadline and failed. This could be my "go to" for women's birthdays this year.
Lovely. I really like this one. You said something about the use of brads being a bit old fashioned... the card looks like an image from the 60s or 70s I think. Its the colours, the flowers, the yellow background... I love it!
That's lovely. I've just started cardmaking again after a number of years and it is like starting from scratch. So many new products and techniques now. I have just bought some vellum so I will definitely be trying this.
Wow that technique created a stunning card! Love the white on vellum. And thanks for saying that the spectrum noir owns have brush tips now. I didn’t know that and really prefer the brush tips.
Thank you Natasha for these great tips. I love that you can change the color of the vellum to white by rubbing it. I’ve gotta give this a go. Have a wonderful day.
Years ago I did a technique called Parchment craft or velum craft, also known as Pergamano, is the art of embellishing and decorating parchment paper through the use of techniques such as embossing, perforating, stippling, cutting and coloring. This reminds me of that 😍 beautiful ❤️
I really enjoyed seeing this Pergamano technique in a modern way, especially combined with the sunny yellow. Usually Pergamano gives quite classic or romantic effects/cards. I am going to try if the vellum I have will give the same bright white effect with my embossing tool, cause you have given me some ideas I want to try out. Thank you for this great tutorial 👍
Quick tip when adding brads: slip a piece of card board behind your project and using a push pin, prick the paper. It creates a clean hole for your brad.
@Natasha Foote • The technique is great but what was even more remarkable was how different the one card looked with various colors of paper behind it. Something I need to keep in mind.
There are a couple other options for white on vellum, but they require some expensive supplies I have a laser printer that works with white toner. So right there most people are thinking "oh heck no" because neither the printer nor the toner are inexpensive. But, I can print on vellum in white toner. Now sometimes it gets a bit smeared in a way that black does not. but most of the time it works. And I can foil it with toner foil and my Minc. Generally, if I am going to foil with a light-colored foil I do use the white toner. If there are any imperfections it is not as noticeable.
Very nice Natasha. I think this technique was called Pergamano. It is beautiful and you did a beautiful card. Love those stamps from Woodware and because of you I now own many of their stamps. Good quality and great price points and a wide variety of stamps to please every body. Keep the ideas coming it sure helps me.THANK YOU
Hi. This is a totally elegant and luxurious looking card, it's beautiful. If I can find my vellum I will definitely have a try using this technique. Thank you for sharing your skills and ideas, you are a wonder to behold.
You've done it again. Your technique is amazing, you make it look so simple. I just wish when I wake up that I could produce something as good. My mojo disappears overnight. 😞 x
This is a technique that I love very much. I did a course many years ago and we called it Parchment Craft. It is very versatile. You have inspired me to get going on a card Ithat I need. Thank you 🌻
Parchment craft. I was trying to think of that and was coming up blank. Thank you.
Love this, pergamano was one of my 1st introductions into paper craft as a child 30 odd years ago. Never thought to combine Parchment Craft (Pergamano) techniques with heat embossing or any other techniques. This is brilliant!
Pergamano is a brand name, not the name of the craft.
Absolutely Stunning! I have never heard of these techniques before. If I was in your family I would definitely take this card from your stash.
Same
it's called parchment or pergamano. it's been around for years x
It's so nice to see all the craft items you use to make cards... it's making me take second looks at things I have in my stash to see if they can be used ... thank you for sharing.
I believe this technique comes under Pergamano where everything is done on vellum. It was good to be reminded of this technique and intend to use it. Thank you.
Pergamano is a brand name. Just learning about it now, thanks.
Bettie Erasmus (South Africa)
This is the same technique used when making cards etc using Pergamano tools on vellum. Stunning technique for your card as well Natasha. It looks beautiful, love it 😀
Pergamano still sell under that name, but is now owned by Groovi, check them out on RUclips for parchment crafting,it’s very addictive.🌺

Thanks for letting me know the correct name of that craft.❤
Such a happy card. Thank you for the vellum technique using the stylist on the back. It was amazing.

Love learning new techniques. Thanks for sharing
I really enjoyed this video and I think the dry embossing on vellum technique makes this card look absolutely stunning 🌻🌻
Woodware stamps have some of my favorite designs. These cards are beautiful. The white accents to the vellum is a nice touch.
Using brads to attach the vellum was brilliant! I thought you were going to use them in the centers of the flowers but the 4 corner look is still great!

Great idea for this stamp. Never would have thought of that. Thanks for sharing.

This is the Pergamano technique.
I'm doing that for more than 25 years. It's great fun.
Really pretty cards Tash!! Love the vellum treatments especially!! You are such a creative genius and I can't wait to try this!!❤🦋❤

It's a bit like Parchment craft white work, love this card, thanks for sharing 😊
Lovely. I really like this one. You said something about the use of brads being a bit old fashioned... the card looks like an image from the 60s or 70s I think. Its the colours, the flowers, the yellow background... I love it!
It's called pergamono parchment paper crafting. It's quite stunning when done.
That's lovely. I've just started cardmaking again after a number of years and it is like starting from scratch. So many new products and techniques now. I have just bought some vellum so I will definitely be trying this.
This technique is Parchment Craft - Pergamano is just a brand name. :) :) Makes for a stunning card Natasha. :)
I have done this technique ages ago, and had forgotten about it. Beautiful technique. This makes very elegant gorgeous cards.
Wow that technique created a stunning card! Love the white on vellum. And thanks for saying that the spectrum noir owns have brush tips now. I didn’t know that and really prefer the brush tips.
It would have been really cute to add white brads to the flower middles.
This is a type of pergamano. It’s gorgeous & so effective!
Tash the technique is called Pergamano , beautiful card!
You can run wax paper over before you dry embossing and it slides easier. Thanks for reminding me of this technique!
Thank you Natasha for these great tips. I love that you can change the color of the vellum to white by rubbing it. I’ve gotta give this a go. Have a wonderful day.
One of my all time favorites from you. This card is so bright & pretty. This one is absolute eye candy!!!👍👍❤️❤️

Dry embossing on vellum = white - who knew? I sure didn’t. Beautiful card & fantastic technique!

Absolument Magnifique 😍😍😍...un Grand Merci pour tous ces partages💝💝💝🤩✨🙏
Thanks for sharing lovely card
Fabulous. The brads are a great idea to secure the vellum.
Quick tip when adding brads: slip a piece of card board behind your project and using a push pin, prick the paper. It creates a clean hole for your brad.
Natasha, you are by far the best!
I completely had forgotten about using this technique on vellum. Thank you.
@Natasha Foote • The technique is great but what was even more remarkable was how different the one card looked with various colors of paper behind it. Something I need to keep in mind.
Love this! You always create beautiful cards.
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!!❤️🥰
WOW WOW WOW
I love parchment craft but have not been brave enough to try. Perhaps I should get my stuff out and try. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Absolutely gorgeous card.
Great old technique. I haven't done that in forever. Thanks for the reminder and brads.
Wow wow wow I really love all your techniques Natasha but this one literally took my breath away. Just so simple and stunningly unique ♡
There are a couple other options for white on vellum, but they require some expensive supplies
I have a laser printer that works with white toner.
Gorgeous card & technique! Thanks for the inspiration.
Looks lovely, has a similar look to the pergamano type of crafting.
This is an beeeeautiful card Natasha, I will certainly try this, I love the vellum on the yellow phone 🌼
