Thank you! "Blessers of the birbs" - nice way to put it! We were so happy to see them too! It's been more than two week since we returned and they are all back except the Galahs.
The birds must have missed you a lot! Corvids are smart and won't forget! Our British Magpies harass my tabby cat whenever they see him because his tabby predecessor (who had one back leg missing) came home with a dead Magpie chick in his mouth once. They NEVER forget. So pleased to see Ms. Peggy back. Made my day! Thank you for posting!
Thank you, Nicolas. That's an interesting story! Magpies are incredibly intelligent and long-lived birds. Our magpies recognize us when we go for a walk around the neighborhood. As for our return, I'm not sure who missed the other more. I was happy to be back and see that they had all returned safely to our backyard.
