The “rolling over the strings” also sounds like a great technique to help hit the individual notes and really focus on helping mute the notes just played, because you’re rolling your finger

I do use my right hand/thumb to help mute the strings when I’m descending down the strings. Then on the way up it’s more up to the left/fretting hand 👍🎸

Do you mute the individual notes with your righthand?
you can do either- sometimes it’s easier for me to mute with right hand and sometimes it’s easier to mute with left hand like with the finger rolling
