I think it’s so important and common mistakes I made are -
-overly making the planner aesthetic or buying to much stationary (sometimes this helps but personally I brought stuff that I didn’t want or need )
-I made into half a dairy and it didn’t work as I soon realised I used to much pages with dairy now I keep them separated.
-I spend so much time and money on the planner that I didn’t want to use because it was so expensive and felt bad afterwards.
-if your a student or a busy person I think rather than a bullet journal a printed book is good.
Btw all of this is my experience and should be taken with a grain of salt.

The tip you have to use the daily section as journal is amazing . I can't open my diary everytime to see my to do list . I will use sticky notes for that from now. Thanks for the suggestion ❣️

Totally resonate with keeping to-do list separate. I use my planner space to journal too. It reduces the stress of having to write a "certain amount" each day and frees us up to decide how much we want to journal.
