    You know as new yorker whos a fan of the MTA myself and want to right the septa one day and other elevated trains in general this video was amazing not to mention the Frankfort avenue EL reminds me of the flushing line aka the 7 train in queens since it also has the skyline of Manhattan in the background when it goes downtown to 34 Hudson yards and not to mention what's also interesting is that they also have express lines just like here in NYCs and the underground stations look identical to the NYC subway stations.

      Is 69th street still just a loop?

    • @Ih8kone
      @Ih8kone 6 лет назад

      tarstarkusz It's where u connect to Media-Sharon Hill Line or Norristown High-Speed Line.

    • @belowme8660
      @belowme8660 5 лет назад

      @@tarstarkusz no it's definitely not a loop. It's a trans center with clerks to sell tickets and other SEPTA services, food vendors and a conservative amount of lowlife pieces of shit that hang there all day and attempt to sell you things, panhandle and scam you out of some money. It's not Frankford terminal size but decently sized with bunch of different buses serving Delaware and Chester counties arriving and leaving.

    What people don't know is the line originally went straight from 46th Street and was elevated to 24th Street. The line was realigned to its current form in the mid 50s. 36:32 that switch probably hasn't been used in 5-10 years. im surprised it still works. Then again I know the Money Train makes a zigzag pattern down the line so its possible it opens more often. Aria Health no longer exist. the Hospital System was rebought by Jefferson earlier this year. its now Jefferson Frankford Hospital.

      www.nycsubway.org/perl/show?38909. clearly shows it went straight. The line west of the portal was completely rebuilt from the ground up with help from funds from PennDOT. PennDOT wanted to widen Market street west of the portal so it helped fund the reconstruction of the line to get the pylons out from the middle of the road and move them to the outer edges.

      @@notsure6187 you are very much incorrect and are not only completely ignorant to the socio economic standing of a major U.S. municipality but are also not privy to the statistical process as it relates to population. I'm very happy that you figured out how to take perhaps the most "popular" races and make sure their respective percentages equate an even 100% but you're not factoring in other races that exist in the city that make up perhaps a small percentage and therefore make it impossible that the ones you mentioned are accurate. I don't know what you're sourcing but it certainly didn't come from a book or from a merited origin. Maybe you just conjured it out of thin air. Go buy a book and read it. Ignoramus

    • @freedomtowerinUS

      Single train operations. Obviously, the amount of trains being sent out in the opposite direction are limited. No accident would happen.

      The line has Automatic Train Control. The System wont allow to trains in the same block. If you noticed there are only signals at interlockings. The ATC controls the speed and spacing of the trains. They are current rebuilding Arrott Transportation Center to make it ADA compliant. single tracking was necessary to finish the eastbound platforms. The closest station with switches is FTC. so trains were probably held there until the Eastbound train arrived. 35:59 blinking Lunar Signal means train is switching. The smart thing they did with the cars is built CCTV in the cabs. When train enters the station it activates the cameras on the platforms so that he can see the train boarding. Only cars I know that do that anywhere.
