    I have the A7 lite, and I love it. The small size makes it easy to carry around, and the sound it is pretty good for the price. Samsung is the second best tablet besides Ipads, obviously

    I got the Lenovo M9 and love the size. It is light and comes with 64Gb storage, but watching movies on it are a bit pixelated which may be because of the 1340x800 screen. My next purchase might be a higher resolution samsung but I wish they made 8-9 inch tablets with higher resolutions.

    Hi. I need to buy a small tablet because all the ebook readers in commerce are incompatibile with Chromebook/Chrome OS - ADE can't recognise and authorise the device. Which one is the best considering that reading would be my main purpose? What about screen and light quality and the possibility to adapt the latter (colour, intensity etc etc). Thanks!

    • @techmechy
      @techmechy  4 месяца назад +1

      Hi, are you asking about Adobe Digital Editions? Have you checked out the Pocketbook Verse or Verse Pro, they have built in ADE support. I think Nooks from Barnes & Noble and e-readers from Kobo will also work, I would reach out to them to ask. But if you want to use one of the tablets from this video, the Lenovo has an eye protection setting that allows adjustable levels of amber tinting. The Samsung also has an eye comfort setting, but I don't think it's adjustable like the Lenovo. The Samsung is also slightly larger than the other two tablets, 8.7" vs 8". For the Amazon I think you would have to install the Google Play Store on it in order to download the Adobe app, which some people are comfortable doing and some aren't. The Amazon had the warmest color temp out of the 3, it also has a blue shade function to adjust the cool/warm color temp of the display. None of them get bright enough to combat very bright daylight if you're outside. From what I've seen the Adobe Digital Editions app has bad reviews on both Android and Apple stores, you might want to consider one of the Pocketbook e-readers or something similar instead of a tablet

      @giuliadelloro1739 4 месяца назад

      @@techmechy I'm reconsidering the idea of an ebook reader - tried the Samsung tablet but definitely too heavy, big and inadequate to reading. Pocketbook is the only brand with an integrated ADE? - Kindle seems to have the same problems as Kobo for a Chromebook owner plus others regarding ebook formats. Pocketbook Verse seems quite good! I think I'd try it via Amazon and in the worst case I'll send it back

      All 3 tablets can handle streaming music easily, but the Lenovo only has one speaker while the Samsung and Amazon have two. If you are using headphones or bluetooth speakers then this isn't a big deal, but if you'll be listening with the tablet's speakers then go for the Fire HD 8 Plus or A7 Lite.

    The Samsung looks decent but most of the reviews online from people who bought it are complaining about how slow it is once you put a few apps on it, apparently caused by all the memory taken up by Samsung bloatware. Many returned it for this reason.

    First, I don't understand where you're seeing the Lenovo M8 with 3GB of RAM; only the M8"FHD" model claims to have 3GB, and that's not what you're reviewing and it's not even available. Everywhere I find the M8, including on the Lenovo web site, it has 2GB, which I regard as a joke; you couldn't sell a tiny phone today with 2GB.
    Next, you don't mention which of the four generations of M8 you're reviewing. You say it as the P22T processor so it must be higher than Gen2, and I remember seeing Gen3 and/or Gen4 models with P22T processors, but oddly now I look at the Lenovo web site and Best Buy, and both say that the M8 has the old A22 processor. So I'm wondering - did they switch back to an old one, perhaps due to supply issues?
    Finally, I have the M8 Gen2, with 2GB memory and the Helio A22 processor. The thing is a total joke. Performance is so awful, even with native apps (like Google Notes or just switching apps), that I must wonder how they can sell it with a straight face. I'm really wanting an 8" tablet with a decent processor and enough memory (at least 4GB?) that I'm not sitting around waiting for 5 or 10 seconds for the tab to respond to a single keystroke. The Lenovo M8 Gen2 is totally inadequate for simple web browsing. I don't care about games or cameras; I never use those. I just want performance. Any suggestions?

    • @techmechy
      @techmechy  Год назад +1

      Thanks for watching, I actually stated it's the Lenovo Tab M8 3rd Gen at the start and end of the video. For some reason the 3rd Gen wasn't widely available, Best Buy only sells the 2nd Gen. I bought the 3rd Gen from Walmart, but I also see it available on Amazon. You should definitely avoid any tablet with less than 3GB of RAM. If you're looking for this size tablet with 4GB you can check out the Samsung Tab A7 Lite with 64GB of storage, that model comes with 4GB RAM instead of the 3GB installed on the 32GB storage model. If Apple releases an iPad Mini 7 this year you might be able to get the iPad Mini 6 on sale, that might be your best bet if you want a small tablet that has the performance you're looking for

    I can’t decide between the M8 or the A7 I have had many products from both companies, so I know the build quality of Samsung is top notch, but I’m seeing a $50 price difference and I could really save the $50 to use for what I actually need this tablet for and that’s just to run some dart board apps and my wife dartboard, to save me from using my
    phone.

    • @techmechy

      If you only need it to run some apps I would probably go with the M8 3rd Gen. It's cheaper and the battery lasts longer. If you really prefer Samsung you could wait until it goes on sale, I picked up my A7 Lite for $99. But I'm not sure when it will be that cheap again, that deal I got was during the holiday season.

    I used a lifelong Amazons tablets as they where in the past half the price of other brands but lately have become even more expensive than an Samsung. The Amazon tablets work but are only formedia consumption and are loaded with crap bloathware you can not erase. This Amazon tab HD8 nears now 4 years of use and gets slow since Amazon actually updates the OS regularly. Same hardware but heavier OS updates I guess make the Tabs slow like for Windows XP you needed only 1 GB of RAM and for Windows 11 already 8 GB - same OS. So I bought 2020 for an relative an Samsung Tab 8 and that gets regular updates till now and is well liked. Best is to get an propper Android stock Tablet instead of these Amazon with loaded bloathware and the sideload apk system. As long as Samsung does so well with OS upgrades and updates Samsung is the choice over Lenovos CCP spyware Tablet. Brands like TCL and Lenovo are controlled by he commies so they are a no go. Thus I ordered now the Samsung A7 lite LTE model for me. The battery can be replaced if you get an original OEM one from Samsung. The battery is what fails on these tablets and not the tablet itself. Any of these you could use still for another 10 years if you change the battery. The other thi g which fails is the USB connector plug. The rest lasts you for 15 years easily would there not be the OS which would be not updated any more after 15 years. Get the Samsung.

    • @techmechy

      For streaming apps like Netflix I would recommend the Samsung or Amazon. The Amazon doesn't come with the Google Play Store, which you need to download the RUclips app. So you would have to go to RUclips.com on the Amazon's web browser, or search online for how to install the Google Play Store. Samsung might be your best choice overall, it has a slightly larger screen and the Google Play Store pre-installed. None of these tablets have great cameras, so if you post your own videos to TikTok you might want to stick to using your phone. For watching TikTok videos the Samsung or Amazon should be fine

    I'll keep this short...I love, love, LOVE this tablet. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxLNmVocUk8tnSkwWIlYSNFzWRIaFTBuzS The picture quality is amazing and there are so many features that this technodino can't wait to learn! My only (very, very minor) complaint is that I ordered this in bronze and they sent me black. Yes, it should have been corrected, but we were only in country for a short period of time and I didn't want to run the risk of not getting a new one in time. I'm such a fan of Samsung Galaxy tablets that I'd rather suck it up than lose out on having it. In the big scheme of things, this rates an irritant factor of .0000000001 out of 1000. In other words, I'm not looking at the colors when I use it, so I got over it very easily.
