I found a red Wii with all cords, 2 remotes and nunchuck for $25 at a garage sale today. Runs smoother and quieter than my white one too.

You got lucky this time. Honestly what they sold you is another console that they claimed to have refurbished but never did refurbish and it just happened to be in better condition than the other ones I've seen from review Tech USA

Who Agrees I Would Say This Wii Is In Used Condition.
The sticky/dusty combination on the outside is more than likely they wiped it with a disinfectant wipe (Lysol or Clorox wipes). The wipes like that leave a residue that can cause a sticky like substance and it attracts dust. The dust that it attracts will accumulae faster than normally because it is attracted to the sticky substance. -sincerely someone who cleans a lot and spent way too much time figuring this out
That means jack, and only happens if you leave it out in the open for a time and doesnt apply right before you ship. It means they dont care to wipe it right before they package it in bubble wrap which doesnt allow accumulation of "dust". So ur reasoning does not apply
I knew about the rumors about DKoldies, and to me they were just that, rumors. But seeing that more and more people are speaking and have experienced the same thing, I feel disappointed.

That’s why I buy from local retro game shops. I got my wii from there, it had the stand and everything how the original came with. Maybe not every local retro gaming store has that kind of service, but the one I know they would completely replace the outside if it was that banged up. But if it was like a little bit they won’t but yeah I got mine with everything the cords and a Wii mote and Wii play for $100. It was the one that you could play backwards compatible. The condition I got was very good. Sometimes I’ve heard it’s good and not good. It’s better to go to the store yourself and see what you’re getting before you buy it.
I buy from my local store as well, and yeah it’s much better. The consoles typically speaking are much better maintained when you buy them, and never seem to have problems. And for a bonus, your supporting a local business!

Good thing that they only sell North American Cartridge too.....
Two points: they should give the covers on top regardless of condition, and not put the warranty sticker on the battery cover, which is made to be user replaceable

Actually, warranty stickers are not legal in the USA. If they say you get a warranty, you get a warranty even if you remove the sticker.
My problem with DKOldies is they claim to refurbish these, but they clearly only clean the outside if at that. Then they charge ludicrously high prices for these consoles.
If that’s not bad enough, they’ve been trying to discredit people that call them out by making videos showing them clean and “refurbish” consoles when they clearly don’t. Honestly, you got pretty lucky with the Wii since it wasn’t very expensive. I’ve seen other people like ReviewTech USA where his consoles he ordered have not had anything done to them. The worst one being the XBOX where the capacitors were swollen and the disc drive barely working.

They don't even switch out the thermal paste. I 1000% predict that they didn't do this for this red Wii
The dust is a premium in the refurbished process.
Surprised they don't charge extra for the dust , gunk and grime. For they sure charge extra for everything else on top of their already inflated price's. Want a N64 we have that on sale for $219! Want a OEM controller that's a Extra $45 want a expansion pack? That's a Extra $50.

And in my time , I have seen countless systems and cart's infested with crispy critter's. Or at least their 💩. Love when people tell you oh that system there work's fine I tested it out yesterday! As you are holding while exoskeletons and sometimes live one's fall out.🤢
It should of came with the flaps for the controller and memory card slots if it was actually refurbished.

They were probably unable to find red flaps, those are hard to come by...
Not only do ebay sellers and B&M not make false promises, but if they do, you can pretty easily return (not just a warranty, there's a difference between warranty and Right to Return) but more importantly, you SEE THE ITEM. Lol

dude last time I checked that, it sold a Wii for 124 dollars, even thought the price cut is 70 dollars.
They put the 'warranty' sticker over the 'CMOS' battery, the button cell that is just used to keep like system settings, internet settings and date? What? That is just a single philips screw that was always allowed to be replaced?? Also I would always test a normal disc and a dual layer disc (such as Smash Bros Brawl) as I've often ran into wii's that won't play dual layer due to the laser being a little dirty.

If I’m not mistaken in one of their videos they say they always replace the top covers on the Wii (unless like you said if that’s the flaw) but I would think the scratches and such would be instead
My NEW 3DS XL was freezing and crashing and causing me to lose my data unless I saved often. 😭
It was only 50% off or something, and if you buy one from Walmart or target you get it for a little bit more with wii sports, and the wii remote and nunchunk and its clean and refurbished
Try calling WalMart in a year and try to return it. Please let us know what they say.
I bought a ps2 fat on ebay and the dude cleaned it like it was new.
They may refurbish only the consoles that have something wrong with them,”repair” them and “clean” the consoles

Dkoldies reputation has gone down the drain
The Wii was dusty, and it’s not refurbished, it’s cosmetically flawed
The main problem i have is the prices. I bought my Wii at a local store for 40 bucks, and came with wiimote, cables and ports cover included, and was cleaner than that.
you should compare a cosmetically flawed system to the other option! (i think its called good condition on the site but i might be wrong)

Someone should ask DKOldies to make a video of them refurbishing a console they ordered, just like how they make a video of shipping someone order.

DKOldies Is getting sued for there untested consoles games they have to fix the consoles before they sell them if it’s broken and they don’t fix it before they sell it it’s illegal there laws on they have to fix it or it’s illegal to sell it
That’s how my Wii came and it wasn’t a flawed one. And the big middle finger towards me was taking out all the 3rd party BS.
They sell me a broken PS2 that they didn't even let me return since I removed the warranty sticker. It is so ragged inside that's why it isn't working.

The console being sticky isn't something I would consider as a cosmetic flaw. More of a cleanliness issue.
Not surprised one bit that the inside was dirty. Looks like a smoker previously owned it given the color of the grime.

Even if the Wii wasnt that dirty, My guy got seriously lucky that he didnt get a console as dirty and/or messed up like Jacob R and ReviewTechUSA. DKO is still a scam when it comes to their Consoles. Maybe one day they'll learn and actually refurbish a console with all the continued backlash they keep getting...

I know it's hard to be critical cause it can come across as dramaesque or scathing. At the end of the day DKOldies does need to be called out. Is there a nicer way to address and not be as overly dramatic as reviewtechusa sure but it doesn't undermine the fact that DKOldies doesn't do what they claim to do. So DKOldies does need to be called out.
