I am halfway through Homicide at the Haunted House and i LOVE it. I love paranormal books like this. I need to pick up that Tarryn Fisher book. I've read a few of her books and really like her.
Hi, Amy! Kim here! So nice to meet you and your husband last night at the festival reception. You're just as sweet (and pretty) in person as you are on your channel! 😊 I'm making sure to comment here from my brand new BookTube channel rather than from my gardening/orchard channel. 😁 My *favorite* book from my September reads was 'How to Solve Your Own Murder' by Kristen Perrin. Super good! 👏👏👏 Dual time-line (1965 & the present), unusual premise, cozy setting, & very interesting characters. ❤ Can't wait for the next book in this new series!!! 😎
Thank you so much Kim!!! It was lovely meeting you last night. I hope to bump into you again during the festival 💙I just subscribed! Excited to watch your videos. I haven't read "How to Solve Your Own Murder" - will check it out! It sounds delightful.
Thank you for telling me about the mail carrier murder series. I'm definitely gonna check that out because coincidentally I'm working on my own cozy mystery series about a package delivery driver 😅
Love all of the Tonya Kappes series. Currently reading her Columbus Day Conundrum. Set in Holiday Junction where all holidays are celebrated. Picturesque eclectic characters a fun read
So many of the cozies you read sound good or I've read and enjoyed too (the ones I read are Seaside Cafe, Noodle Shop, Witch Way Librarian, Baker Street Mysteries, and Castleton Manor Library)! I never thought I was a re-reader either but I re-read one of my favorite cozy mystery series and now I'm hooked on re-reading cozies. My favorite reads in September were Furever After by Sofie Kelly and Bell, Book, and Corpses by TC LoTempio. These are the latest books in favorite cozy mystery series and I loved them both.
I am not a big fan of romance in cozies either. But I love the romance in the Seaside Cafe Mysteries! My favorite read in September was Peking Duck and Cover. They just keep getting better and better!
your enthusiasm makes me want to read all of them! You can't go wrong with the Deputy Donut series. I have to get back to Tonya Kappes series . She also has a Maisie Doss series I'd like to try. i had quite a few good reads in Sept. One of my favorites was Killed on Blueberry Hill, Sharon Farrow
The Deputy Donut series is amazing! I'm so excited to read more. I'll have to check out the Maisie Doss series too 💜I'm glad you had some amazing reads in September.
Thank you! Thank you! I hated The Girl on the Train. The MC was so unrelatable and annoying. I did like Hawkins' other books much better. I'm looking forward to her newest coming out this month. Faves of September: The Berry Pickers- Amanda Peters Middle of the Night - Sager Like Mother, Like Daughter McCreight Don't Look for Me Wendy Walker By Any Other Name- Picoult
My favorite books in September were The Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager and Theater Nights Are Murder Poppy McAllister cozy mystery series by Libby Klien. You had some great reads. I really love Ellie Alexander's new series I also read Murder at the Movies in September as well.
I have a few of these you recommended so I definitely will give them a try now!! I’ve been in a slump and really watching Hallmark movies lately haha! Also the Hallmark mystery shows. Have you seen any of those?! I love them!! Also Hallmark Fall movies and Christmas movies. Two movies u have to see is October Kiss it’s so good!!! And The Christmas Shepherd
@@bookswithamymarie there are some cute Fall ones! Watch October Kiss you will love it! Also have u read 15 minutes of Flame by Christin Breecher and The Ghost and Mrs Mewer by Krista Davis? They re perfect to read right now! Love them! Check them out!
I read some good ones in September, especially while participating in the Scooby Doo readathon! I forgot there were hints of a conspiracy in the Maddy Montgomery series but I read the 2nd book and I was almost more invested in the conspiracy than the murder mystery in that one! But wowwie! The body count in that series. People drop like flies. I’m reading haunted house books right now but am about to start reading witch books for the next 2 weeks.
I can read A Slice of Murder (first 3 books in the series come in paperback-YAY!) (Tanya Kappes series comes in paperback also.😊) I read Valerie Burns books 1and 2 and I'm ready for the last one. I read book 1of Mimi Lee and have book 3 but I need book 2 to continue🤔. Happy October Reading! 🍁📚🎃🍁
Wow, 25 books, I am impressed. Last month, I read 11 books. They were The Skeleton Makes a Friend by Leigh Perry (Yay Sid!), Aunt Dimity and the Buried Treasure by Nancy Atherton, Love and Death Among the Cheetahs by Rhys Bowen (Georgie's Honeymoon!) Death on Deck by Courtny Bradley (Great start for her first book), The Diva Frosts a Cupcake by Krista Davis, A Pairing to Die For by Kate Lansing, Case of the Bleus by Korina Moss (The Cheese Shop Mysteries get better & better), Claw Enforcement by Sofie Ryan (Elvis!), Carnations & Chaos by London Lovett, (Just started the Port Danby series, this is my second one) Two Tall Tales by Sofie Kelly & Sofie Ryan (a novella of two stories, one with Hercules & Owen and the other one with Elvis) and The Password to Larkspur Lane by Carolyn Keene (I have a whole bookcase of Nancy Drews, Beverly Greys, Penny Parkers, Connie Blairs, etc. and I'm going to try to read more of them coming up.) I listened to 8 audiobooks and 3 eBooks. They were all pretty enjoyable. I think my favorites were Case of the Bleus, The Skeleton Makes a Friend and Love and Death Among the Cheetahs.
(I also don't get the hype over Girl on the Train!) I had a really really good time with It Had to Be You by Brazier - what an entertaining read. If you like the movie Mr. & Mrs Smith, you'll like It Had to Be You (though warning, it does have spicy scenes on page)! :)
Hey Amy! Did you get a chance to look into The Vermin Sleep? If you’re looking for an easily digestible horror novella on a day you might be in a slump, The Vermin Sleep will remedy that slump! 🐀🔨🩸💀 4.18 🌟 | 51 Ratings on GoodReads!

I didn’t like the girl on the train either.
I'm sorry it didn't work out for you either!
I just finished Murder at the Movies. This could have been a good book but the LGBT and women's movement (I don't need a man) just wasn't for me.
Thanks for mentioning this.
Thanks for mentioning this! I love when books have representation. Also, independent women are so incredibly important. Sounds like an amazing book.
